DHS Reportedly Bracing for Violence From the Right and ‘Abortion-Rights Proponents’ if Supreme Court Overturns Roe

“Law enforcement agencies are investigating social-media threats to burn down or storm the Supreme Court building and murder justices and their clerks”

Two weeks ago, CNN tried to warn that violence would come from the right if the Supreme Court overturns Roe vs. Wade, which made absolutely no sense.

Now a memo from the Department of Homeland Security is warning of violence from the left if this actually happens.

The memo, obtained by Axios, paints a dark picture:

DHS preparing for violence following abortion ruling

The U.S. government is bracing for a potential surge in political violence once the Supreme Court hands down the ruling that’s expected to overturn Roe v. Wade, according to a Department of Homeland Security memo obtained by Axios.

The big picture: Law enforcement agencies are investigating social-media threats to burn down or storm the Supreme Court building and murder justices and their clerks, as well as attacks targeting places of worship and abortion clinics.

Details: The unclassified May 13 memo by DHS’ intelligence arm says threats that followed the leak of a draft opinion — targeting Supreme Court Justices, lawmakers and other public officials, as well as clergy and health care providers — “are likely to persist and may increase leading up to and following the issuing of the Court’s official ruling.”

Context: Abortion-related violence historically has been driven by anti-abortion extremists.

  • “Some racially or ethnically motivated violent extremists’ embrace of pro-life narratives may be linked to the perception of wanting to ‘save white children’ and ‘fight white genocide,'” the memo also says.
  • But the memo warns that this time, extremist acts could come from abortion-rights proponents as well.

That line about history is rich. People who are against abortion are extremists, but not the people currently protesting outside the homes of Supreme Court justices?

Other parts of the memo seem to bend over backward to appease the far left.

From FOX News:

The memo goes on to clarify that rhetoric supporting violent extremism does not itself constitute extremism.

“The mere advocacy of political or social positions, political activism, use of strong rhetoric, or generalized philosophic embrace of violent tactics does not constitute domestic violent extremism or illegal activity and is constitutionally protected,” the memo reportedly reads.

“DHS is committed to protecting Americans’ freedom of speech and other civil rights and civil liberties, including the right to peacefully protest,” a DHS spokesperson told Fox News. “DHS is also committed to working with our partners across every level of government and the private sector to share timely information and intelligence, prevent all forms of violence, and to support law enforcement efforts to keep our communities safe.”

Trump supporters from J6 are “insurrectionists” and parents questioning school boards are labeled terrorists, but when there’s a real threat of violence from the left, suddenly the people in power are careful to state how committed they are to freedom of speech and the right to protest.

Once you see media bias, you can never unsee it.

Why in the world would “the right” do violence over getting their way?

It’s like rioting after a sportsball victory.

They wouldn’t. It’s “Projection!” They need it to fit their narrative on the need for the “domestic terrorism” legislation they just passed. The violence will be started by ANTIFA, Femi-nazis or the anarchists but will be blamed on the right.

Compare that with the “white supremacists” bill in the House

These Soros rent-a-mobs have been raking it in without work since the summer of love.

Homeland Security already knows the Supreme Court’s decision.

The Gentle Grizzly | May 19, 2022 at 5:23 pm

My vivid imagination has rioters attacking Justice Thomas’s home. He notices someone about to throw a Molotov Cocktail. He brings out a shotgun, and lets loose.

    That’s vivid alright.

I like the cut of your jib, griz. Except I’d prefer it was an M4orgery.

    https://www.guns.com/news/2012/03/22/colt-lesocom-m4-for-civilian-non-nfa-carbine#:~:text=The%20LESOCOM%20is%20a%20civilian-legal%20M4%20rifle%20intended,get%20included%20in%20Colt%E2%80%99s%20M4%20for%20the%20public.

That would send the ideal message. An associate justice of the Supreme Court whipping out what we are constantly told is an assault weapon and blowing a leftist away.

But a shotgun? I’m cool with a shotgun. I don’t want it to sound like I think I’m some bad@ss. I am freaking humble. I mind my Ps and Qs. Because as the Bible says, pride goeth before a fall (Yes, Milhouse, I know that’s not the original Hebrew).

You get into a bar fight in Manilla and you get the Filipino constabulary on your worthless behind, try telling me how tough life was in AmeriKKKa. Try surviving in a third world prison hell hole.

I “got to” visit American sailors and marines (note I’m not capitalizing) who landed in prison in what was my AOR when I was stationed on staff at Commander, Naval Forces Japan. Our AOR expanded significantly when Naval Forces Philippines was disestablished. On the one hand it was heartbreaking. On the other hand, I was like, “What the h3ll were you thinking?”

Even when we’re ashamed of you, you’re still hours. We will make sure the health and welfare items reach you. If you survive we’ll make sure you get a ticket home. And the dishonorable/less than honorable discharge.

If. Big if. Odds are no American will last 6 months in a Thai prison. Or, choose your poison. It is all going to suck harder than anything you’ve ever imagined in your wildest imagination.

Because as the Bible says, pride goeth before a fall (Yes, Milhouse, I know that’s not the original Hebrew).

A better translation is “Before a breakage comes pride; before a failure comes loftiness of spirit”. here are some other translations. The original is לפני-שבר גאון; ולפני כשלון, גבה רוח.

        “Pride goeth before a fall”

I don’t know if Humpty Dumpty was proud but Joe Biden is and one of these days he is gonna fall from that high position where he should never have been in the first place. And when his brain goes splat, all his doctors and all his shrinks will never be able to put his mind back together again.

The history books will show a picture of a fried egg with the caption: “this is your brain on alzheimer drugs.”

Arminius in reply to Milhouse. | May 19, 2022 at 10:33 pm

I know there is a God when you show up, Milhouse. And I don’t mean that in a bad way.

Oh, that helps. Can you put that in Arabic? I’m better at Arabic.

No. Really. I hate the Quran more than the Torah.

I don’t hate the Torah. That would mean I hate my own Old Testament. I love the Old Testament.

If it’s German literature, pride Goethe before a fall?

    “He brings out a shotgun”
Better not hear a f*g WORD about it from Biden.

“If this was about a threat from the Republican side it’d be described as “right-wing violence,” “white supremacist domestic terrorism,” but since the threat’s from the Left it’s just “political violence.”

Fixed it for ya.

“…investigating social-media threats to burn down or storm the Supreme Court building and murder justices and their clerks, as well as attacks targeting places of worship and abortion clinics.”

Didn’t these guys get the memo? The real problem is White Supremacists

You’ve gotta be freakin’ kidding me. Enough of this Orwellian bizarro-world b.s. already.

Uj, they’re warming up. The worst is yet to come.

If we take the House and Senate in November, and McConnell and McCarthy become the GOP leaders, we’re doomed.

I read the memo. Whole paragraphs would seem to make perfect sense, then it would veer off into crazyland.

I get the impression that someone was trying very hard to do the job correctly, then edited the thing to make the bosses happy. What a horrible administration we have right now.

Comanche Voter | May 19, 2022 at 6:17 pm

The idea that people might want to stop abortion to “save white children” is sort of full of hooey. The prevalence, occurrence of abortion is much greater in the black community. You stop abortion you get more black babies.

Yeah, violence from the right. We in the pro-life movement who have been praying for this day for 50 years are gonna celebrate by being violent.

The left celebrates things that go their way violently. And when they don’t go their way.

Kinda like the way Detroit “celebrated” its team becoming the 1984 World Series champs,

“The smoke that was rising over the [Detroit Tigers’} ballpark was coming from overturned vehicles near the Michigan & Trumbull intersection as overzealous partiers decided that the way they were going to celebrate the Tigers’ championship was by destroying property. Not only had the rioters overturned a Checker Cab, these exceptional knuckleheads had the audacity to rock a Detroit Police car onto its top and set it ablaze.

. . .

“Thirty years later, the riot that capped Game 5 of the 1984 World Series in Detroit is still considered one of the worst in the history of professional sports.”

When I was sixteen I was hanging with Swedish chicks. Sveadal. That’s life. Now I love my black daughter. Who the blankety blank has the right to interfere.

Namibia. I’ve been to Namibia many times. Good hunting there. Zimbabwe, but I don’t care for the politics.

I’ll be willing to bet you think this is all of I know of Namibia.

Jazzizhep in reply to Arminius. | May 20, 2022 at 1:12 pm

Perfectly vague statement as to have no meaning. Is your issue with anti-abortion advocates? Is it because you think an overturn of R v W will do away with interracial marriage? Or are you simply railing against xenophobia because of your vast knowledge of, and experience with, Namibia?

I suppose we will see how they perform once the decision is released. Fed, State and local LEO can’t very well be shocked that folks will be upset or stalk the Justices homes given the reaction to a leaked draft opinion.

smalltownoklahoman | May 19, 2022 at 7:58 pm

The real violence will come from the left as they have an absolute meltdown as their claimed right to abortion gets kicked back to the states. Any violence from the right will likely be the kind you get from overly enthusiastic celebrations. There might be some pushback against leftists rioters trying to destroy property which could be worse than what we saw in 2020 but it depends on which communities they target.

Perhaps an overturn of Roe v. Wade will cause all the proggie freaks to retreat to California, New York and all the other proggie shitholes. Wouldn’t that be grand?

Abortion protesters in the streets this summer? Seems to me that could present a lot of “target-rich opportunities.”

I think this is all we need to know about the entire Federal bureaucracy. Far left fantasists, being led by corrupt political hacks and actual criminals. Garland has lied to congress and is clearly encouraging crime, likely created the January 6 violence and orchestrated far more.

Subotai Bahadur | May 19, 2022 at 9:24 pm

If you were one of the Justices who voted to overturn Roe v. Wade, would you trust any Federal officer to protect your life or that of your family? Anyone doubt that the Left would view a fatal attack on a Justice as anything more than a chance to recast the Supreme Court into part of the Praesidium?

The only way violence comes from patriots here is if they must defend themselves from the temper tantrums of the leftists

Keep in mind any self defense if you are right wing is considered terrorism by the DHS which will try to destroy your life if Antifa attacks you.
