Race Hoax? Providence College Blames Graffiti On “White Supremacists.” Because Of Course

Nothing says “America is racist” like people filling the void of actual racism with fake racism.

Providence College is alleging that racist statements were painted on cars  affiliated with their campus But the video showed that the people caught on video were not exactly white supremacists.

WJAR reports:

Providence College has shared surveillance images showing a group of vandals that etched the N-word on some students’ cars, including one that belongs to a Black basketball player.

The racial slur was written in frost on multiple vehicles in the Glay student parking lot sometime between 9 p.m. and 11 p.m. Saturday, campus security officials said.

“This is outrageous and entirely unacceptable, and I want you to know that the Office of Public Safety and the Providence Police Department are investigating this matter aggressively. We will do everything we can to find the person or persons responsible and hold them accountable,” the Rev. Kenneth R. Sicard, the college president, wrote in a campus-wide email. “While this act appears to be random in nature, at least one of the vehicles that was involved is owned by a student of color.”

Sicard said he unequivocally condemned the behavior and offered support to those affected. Students are also denouncing the cold-hearted hate.

“The cold-hearted hate”?, really that’s this “journalist’s” take? What if that “cold-hearted hate” were fake hate, of the variety we have documented at length here at LI?

Any lawyers know what leverage if any state houses have over colleges? Charters give colleges a certain degree of protection nothing else has.

Granted we have no power at all in RI but there are states we do have power in.

It is a culture war and the right is winning battles by doing nothing. The left is acting crazy as usual

No, the hate is very real, it’s just not aimed where they pretend it is.

“Is the white supremicist in the room with us right now?”

Sigh.

“This is outrageous and entirely unacceptable, and I want you to know that the Office of Public Safety and the Providence Police Department are investigating this matter aggressively.

Regardless of who did this, even assuming it was the actual KKK itself (which SPLC claims has two branches in RI, though when Prof J went looking for them he found that neither branch actually exists), what the **** is the police department doing getting involved? No crime was committed, so how is it the police’s business? The mere fact that they’re investigating would have a chilling effect on protected speech.

Well…. The story said the words were “etched” into or on a vehicle, implying that the painted finish was damaged. The source also mentioned written in the frost on cars, implying both. Unless RI is significantly different from most other states, scratching a car’s finish constitutes some degree of vandalism. (“Keying”) So that’s where the police come in.

“The racial slur was written in frost”.

“Etch” is a strange word to use in this context. I can only imagine they meant the second definition at m-w.com, “to delineate or impress clearly”.

It was “a group of vandals that etched…”

“Vandals” is also a strange word to use for people who write words in the frost with their fingers. At m-w.com, “one who willfully or ignorantly destroys, damages, or defaces property belonging to another or to the public.”

Yeah, kind of like why is the FBI investigating a misplaced diary and raiding journalists’ homes, right?

A third-party possession without publication, and an effort to return to owner punishable to the maximum extent allowed under the color of law. A diary that was likely “misplaced” by a #MeToo child crying in darkness.

That must be some recruiting pitch from the Klan/Aryan Brotherhood to land PoC in their membership and get them to target other PoC. /S

They are devoted followers of Dave Chapelle who did a sketch about a blind black kid who was raised by white supremacists. The man was so far ahead of his time.

It seems likely that this was done by someone expecting to extract cash or or other concessions and perks out of the school and community. It most certainly is not the first case.

“The fact these acts had to be taken by black people to expose white supremacy on our campus only demonstrates how safe white supremacists feel at Providence College, that don’t NEED to act out against people of color.”

–You know somebody will say it.

Man, those white supremacists are everywhere.

Can we be clear here? All I can see is crappy, gray-on-gray snapshots of people wearing heavy winter clothes, plus one color closeup Photoshop insert of a sexless being doing nothing obviously incriminating. No video, despite the promise. Nothing to indicate if any of the people were white, black, men, women, or anything else. In spite of our “reading into” this article that “some black person faked a hate crime,” I don’t see anything here that either confirms or denies this. Am I missing something obvious?

Left-wing (i.e. single/central/monopoly-oriented) color bigots with “benefits” has DDDiverse precedents. Some, Select [Black] Lives Matter.

Or a high school prank. Revenge of the n-erds.

If it’s not clear, let me help make it so:

100% of the white supremacist racial hatred are committed by black folks. Every damn time.

The demand for racist behavior in America far outstrips the supply. That, however, won’t stop retarded communists from seeing racist behind every tree and blade of grass.

Keep saying that “Rent-A-Klucker” would be a big business. Demand for racism so exceeds supply, leaving these poor race hustlers are having to DIY. Poorly.

What needs to happen is for the people who wrote those epithets to be given the same punishment as an actual white supremacist would.

But we all know that’s never going to happen, don’t we?

My first real interest in trial handling started with the Duke lacrosse case. I was working in the area, had family in the area and was 4 or 5 people removed from a couple of the defendants. Lets say it left a mark. I’ve paid more attention recently with all the recent trial by headline and social media. I realize the nature of those cases make them more polarized, but I’ve seen nothing from any of them that leads me to change my opinions of the state when it gets political. Many of y’all here are experienced with the law. With all the visibility these cases have had, and all the apparent abuse that I’ve seen from the state when under the spotlight, what do they get away with in the normal course of business?

Please tell me our judicial system really isn’t this bad?

Let’s say I once thought that “shoot, shovel, and shut up” was irresponsible and antisocial.
    I no longer think so.
I shoot covetous glances at the stock on the lot of the local graymarket dozer dealer.
