Israel’s Mossad Foils Iranian Terrorist Plot to Attack Israelis, Jews in Africa

The Jerusalem Post: “Israeli intelligence officials have estimated that the Islamic Republic will continue to target Israelis and Jews in spots where they believe security is weaker.”

Israeli intelligence agency Mossad foiled an Iranian terrorist plot to attack Israeli citizens and Jews in Africa.

The Israeli media revealed that Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) recruited terror operatives in several African countries to target Israeli tourists and businessmen.

“The Mossad has thwarted multiple attacks by Iran against Israeli tourists and businessmen in at least three African countries,” the Jerusalem Post reported on Sunday, citing the Israeli TV network Channel 12. “Israeli intelligence officials have estimated that the Islamic Republic will continue to target Israelis and Jews in spots where they believe security is weaker,” the newspaper added.

The authorities in African countries arrested five suspects who trained n Lebanon — a country primarily controlled by the Iran-sponsored terrorist militia Hezbollah. The plot was handled by IRGC’s foreign terrorist arm, Al Quds Force.

The Times of Israel reported the details of the foiled Iranian terrorist plot:

Five people have been arrested in African countries over suspicions that they were planning on carrying out attacks against Israeli tourists or businesspeople on behalf of Iran, an Israeli television network reported Sunday.

The five, who had been in Senegal, Tanzania, and Ghana, were recruited by Iran’s Quds Force expeditionary arm of the Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps, according to the report from Channel 12 news, which did not attribute the information to a source.

The five were arrested in the African countries by local intelligence, who were working off information obtained from “Western” spies, the channel said.

According to intelligence information cited by the channel, the five were given special training and unspecified materials in Lebanon and then sent back to Africa with a cover story of being religious students, where they were given the mission of finding Jewish and Israeli targets to attack.

Among the top targets were Israeli tourists on safari in Tanzania, the channel said.

The incident comes as President Joe Biden hopes to coax Iran back into the 2015 nuclear deal. He continues to blame former President Donald Trump for derailing the Obama era agreement. “We’re continuing to suffer from the very bad decisions President Trump made to pull out of the JCPOA,” President Biden complained at the last week’s G20 summit in Rome.

While the Biden administration continues to ease sanctions on Iran, the Mullah regime has ramped up its nuclear weapons program. Tehran has accelerated the enrichment of uranium to near-weapons grade level. “So far we have produced 25 kilograms of 60% uranium, which, except for countries with nuclear weapons, no other country is able to produce,” the Iranian state media boasted last week.

The Shia-Islamic regime has intensified its efforts to stage terrorist attacks aimed at the U.S. and its allies since the Al Quds Force chief, Qassem Soleimani, was eliminated in a 2020 U.S. drone strike ordered by President Donald Trump.

Iran also sees Israel as a primary threat to its advancing rogue nuclear weapons program.

In February 2021, African security services busted an Iranian terror cell that was scouting Israeli and U.S. embassies. In March 2021, Iran Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC)-backed terrorists bombed the Israeli embassy in New Delhi, India.

Last month, police in Cyprus thwarted a similar Iranian plot to kill Israeli businessmen. The authorities in the Mediterranean Island nation arrested an armed assassin who was preparing to target a building that housed Israeli business in the Cypriot capital Nicosia.

Thanks for the report, Vijeta.

Sadly, bad guys always have the advantage. Basically, they get to call the where and when they will act. It’s nice to see this particular evil plan thwarted.

The Israelis will do what they have to do to protect themselves against Iranian terror-whenever and wherever,.

Here is a bit of a question

Why when the rest of the world feels Biden is heavenly and we are all a bunch of bleeping nazis on the American right shouldn’t we embrace our first president and say fuck the world we hate you to?

They feel the raids on project veritas means more respect for individual rights why the hell should I care what happens to Taiwan?
