Southwest Airlines Pilot Reportedly Says “Let’s Go Brandon” Over Intercom, Left Immediately Melts Down

Southwest Airlines Pilot Reportedly Says “Let’s Go Brandon” Over Intercom, Left Immediately Melts Down

“We’re heading east at about 107 or 108 mph,” the pilot reportedly said. “Clear visibility, mostly clear skies, about 77 degrees. Thanks for coming out, flying Southwest Airlines, welcome home and let’s go Brandon.”

The Democrat propagandist media is pretending to have just discovered “Let’s Go Brandon.”  After ignoring its earlier incarnation, week after week, then ignoring the sports announcer who either intentionally or accidentally coined the term “Let’s Go Brandon!” after a crowd cheered “F*ck Joe Biden” at NASCAR, there are articles popping up across the legacy media explaining what the term means.

Some of them are completely ridiculous (like this one from the AP that took six “journalists” to figure out what a two second search would tell just one) and some do try to explain it without acting like they just heard it for the first time this week.  Note, they all magically decided that “vulgar” was the word to use to describe the original.  Never mind Biden’s infamouspotty mouth” or his wife’s equally “vulgar” suggestion that Kamala Harris “go f*ck” herself.

Of course, they get it only part right.  They skip the uncomfortable part that folds in the delighted mockery of the media in the chant. Yes, it’s anti-Biden (it certainly does mean “F*ck Joe Biden”), but it is also anti-partisan-hack media that thinks its job is to champion Democrats . . . no matter what.

It’s fun and funny, but the ever humorless, perpetually outraged left is having a meltdown because a Southwest airlines pilot allegedly said “Let’s go Brandon” over the intercom during a flight.

The Washington Examiner reports:

A Southwest pilot slipped the now-infamous “Let’s go Brandon” catchphrase over the intercom during a Friday flight, according to a report.

The pilot, who has not yet been identified, signed off with the phrase on a flight from Houston to Albuquerque, the Associated Press reports .

“We’re heading east at about 107 or 108 mph,” the pilot reportedly said. “Clear visibility, mostly clear skies, about 77 degrees. Thanks for coming out, flying Southwest Airlines, welcome home and let’s go Brandon.”

. . . . Southwest responded to the incident in a statement saying that the airline “takes pride in providing a welcoming, comfortable, and respectful environment” and that “behavior from any individual that is divisive or offensive is not condoned.”

. . . . “Southwest does not condone Employees sharing their personal political opinions while on the job serving our Customers, and one Employee’s individual perspective should not be interpreted as the viewpoint of Southwest and its collective 54,000 Employees,” the airline said in a statement , Sunday. “Southwest is conducting an internal investigation into the recently reported event and will address the situation directly with any Employee involved while continuing to remind all Employees that public expression of personal opinions while on duty is unacceptable.”

The left is now demanding (shock!) that the pilot be fired and are urging a boycott of the airline.

Meanwhile the leftie media is busily stoking their anger and outrage by making wild and ridiculous claims. Again, shocking, I know.

“Let’s go Brandon”

The humorless left can cram it.

I seem to miss seeing the “80 million” Biden votes upset about “Let’s go Brandon”. Can someone point me to where they are demonstrating?

Truthfully the co pilot is named Brandon. The pilot and co pilot had decided to go to the Canadian Ballet for the evening (use the urban dictionary not the regular dictionary for the meaning).
The plane was safely landed and parked so the pilot was just reminding Brandon it was time for some cultural enrichment.

The more they try and shut this down the louder and larger the choir will sing! The d/prog can’t tolerate ridicule precisely because deep down they are afraid someone will notice just how ridiculous their policy and ideology actually are.

Hey babe I remember “Tuck Frump”–and also DeNiro’s unhinged rant at the Oscars (I would be ashamed if I’d actually watched the Oscars). But I did see a video clip afterwards.

Southwest Airlines?
If he’s not entitled, who is?

If the left is melting down that only means there should be more “Let’s Go Brandon” memes. Hit the gas and floor it. The left has just begun reaping what they have sewn.

These complaints are supposedly coming from self-identified scum whose standards are good with a corrupt pedophile senile POTUS, a totally corrupt lying Fauci, mass murderer Cuomo, a corrupt Garland/DOJ/FBI/CIA, etc., etc.

“107 miles per hour” I’m glad I missed that flight!

Flying EAST from Houston to Albuquerque? In a Boeing 737, at 108 knots? That’s one heck of a headwind, Brandon. Is this a simple mistake by whoever is reporting it, or a deliberate misrepresentation?

Sounds like he was on final approach, which is when you’d normally get the pilot making that kind of announcement. Obviously they don’t cruise at 100 knots.

The captain normally speaks to the passengers 15-20min after takeoff. Most likely the 100 mile comment was distance from the airport or distance to the destignation.

Pilots rarely get on intercom during final approach – they have something important to do – like landing the airplane safely.

Probably not. It was clearly a sign-off message, the 107 mile comment clearly specified airspeed (that’s what “mph” means), and the aircraft only flies that slow when it’s using full flaps, which NEVER happens on takeoff or during normal flight. Besides, AP said that it was his sign-off, and we all know they’re always right./s

A quick check confirms that the main runway at ABQ is east-west, and the prevailing wind is generally from the west, so he was probably on the downwind leg.

A 737 (all of SW’s fleet) will never fly at 92kts (107mph). the published landing speed is 140kts or 161mph, and the stall speed in landing configuration is assumed to be around 108kts, so unless there was a 60mph headwind he was not going at 107mph. also the pilot will not communicate with the cabin on final, he will focus on landing the plane, which is a bit more important (FAA “sterile cockpit” rules). This is either a slip of the pilot or the reporting, or straight up made-up by someone that doesnt know how planes work, most probably the former.

This is the way America get free from the Tyranny of BIDEN.

    General STRIKE.

Sounds fake to me. What the hell kind of pilot gives speed in mph?

One who figures his passengers don’t know what a knot is.

As a former road warrior with about 750,000 flight miles under his belt, I’ve heard it stated both ways by the handful of pilots who go into that level of detail. Most often, they confine themselves to telling the passengers when they’ll arrive.

Heding EAST raveling FROM Houston to Albuqueraue? Speed 197 mph and still in the air?
Maybe it was one of the twin turboprop commute craft, but normally they will mention something abot final approach…. at whcih point the aircraft MYA be heading east due to wind conditions.

One thing he DID get right. Let’s go brandon!!!!

Maybe the whole thing is a made up hoax….. a passnegermight get things confused enough tomake such a statment. Did not mention what sort of aircraft it was… not certain but I think the 737 needs about 150 knts to stay in the air on level flight. Touchdown speed is usually 11o kts.

Fun meme, though.

I don’t see the problem. He’s just using his platform to protest for social justice…like taking a knee during the national anthem.

I like “Let’s go Brandon,” but agree with the critics. No politics in an aerial tube, regardless of what they are. I don’t think the pilot should be fired, but he should be made to understand that he could be if he does it again.

It’s not a government entity so he can say what he wants. I can dislike it if I want or freakin love it.

Might as well call this guy a hero if some asshat like lebron james is considered one.

RandomCrank in reply to healthguyfsu. | November 1, 2021 at 4:28 pm

He can say what he wants and be immune from prosecution. I strongly agree with you there. But he’s not immune from his employer’s rules. I am not even saying he should be fired, and definitely not saying he should be prosecuted.

I don’t consider any of these people “heroes.” Far from it. I’m saying that, when trapped in a metal tube going 550 mph at 35,000 feet, no one should be subjected to the pilot’s politics. It doesn’t matter if I agree with the view. I find “Let’s Go Brandon” enormously entertaining, but politics should not be inflicted on a captive audience.

It would be hilarious to find out the entire event was an attempted hoax dreamed up by the leftist rage machine.

Of course, then they’d get an entirely innocent pilot fired just to keep their dream machine alive…

The outrage of the left in this instance should be compared with its daily advocacy for the woke shenda

I prefer the original chant: F__k joe biden. But i’m just a vulger old geezer. When do we get to cancel the left?
