Elizabeth Warren Praises Afghanistan Withdrawal as ‘An Amazing Undertaking’
“We should be proud of President Biden”
Millions of Americans are disgusted by the way the withdrawal from Afghanistan was handled, but not Senator Elizabeth Warren. During a recent appearance on MSNBC, she described it as an “amazing undertaking.”
She acknowledges the challenges and mentions the service member from Massachusetts who was killed, but she is very restrained about the disastrous aspects of it. The only thing she gets right is praising the military for the job they did.

O`DONNELL: Joining us now is Democratic Senator Elizabeth Warren of Massachusetts.
Thank you very much for joining us tonight, Senator. Really appreciate it.
What was your takeaway from the hearing about the evacuation from Afghanistan?
WARREN: That it was actually an amazing undertaking. It was done under chaotic circumstances because the government had collapsed, because the party had melted away the Afghan army and that even in the midst of all of that, our military was able to get about 124,000 people out. They left no American-owned equipment behind. They managed to execute that.
And, yes, it was at risk. We lost a young woman from Massachusetts. I`m working now on trying to get the Congressional Medal of Honor for the people who we lost right at the end. But we knew it was a risky undertaking and the military performed. We should be proud of President Biden and proud of our military.

Afghans were killed, falling from the wheel wells of airplanes, 13 American service members were killed by a suicide bomber, a follow-up drone strike killed innocent people, including children, and American citizens were left behind, but Warren thinks we should be “proud” of how Biden handled this?
Warren is framing it this way because Biden is a Democrat and Warren is a soldier for her party. No one in their right mind would ever believe she would be talking this way if the withdrawal was handled this badly by Trump. Elizabeth Warren would be joining other Democrats calling for another impeachment.
During the Senate hearings earlier this week, when other lawmakers were grilling Milley and Lloyd, Warren took a very kid gloves approach that was clearly intended to avoid any criticism of Biden.

Senator Warren: Okay. So the military planned the evacuation. Did President Biden follow your advice on executing on the evacuation plan?
Secretary Austin: He did.
Senator Warren: Did President Biden give you all the resources that you needed?
Secretary Austin: From my view, he did.
Senator Warren: Did President Biden ignore your advice on the evacuation at any point?
Secretary Austin: No, Senator. He did not.
Sen Warren: Did he refuse any requests for anything that you needed or asked for?
Secretary Austin: No.
Senator Warren: So the President followed the advice of his military advisors in planning and executing this withdrawal.
She is giving Biden a pass she would never give Trump, or any other Republican for that matter.

This is the way they rewrite history. The media will get 5 or 6 more people to heap praise on the Biden pullout. Then in December they will write the typical stories that recap the year – spinning Biden’s debacle as a victory. I can see the spin now – – “America only lost about a dozen solders in a complex operation that involved hundreds of planes and movement of 125,000 people in only two weeks time. Truly the finest hour for our U.S. military.” They will conveniently overlook the strategic blunder and the attempt to gain a “photo-op” for this feckless commander-in-chief. Repeat the lies long enough and they becomes truth.

Notice the sleight-of-hand. She says “we got all our equipment out” – very clever wording. In truth, the $70 billion of equipment left behind was not technically “our equipment” since we have it to the Afghan army. This is how they spin and rewrite history. We have gone full Orwell.
The reason VEEP was funny was because it mocked the voters through the characters it chose to vote in. This announcement would be part of the script of that show, plus of course backstabbing surrounding it behind the scenes.

The MoH? No. Surface level information indicates a BSM with V (valour) device tops if the approval authority was being generous and feeling pressure; even then I don’t think a BSM was earned. More realistically would be a V device on an Army or Navy Commendation Medal alongside a posthumous Purple Heart.
This sort of gross award inflation demonstrates her complete lack of knowledge about and ability to judge military operations on the merits. The pullout was a self created fiasco. Totally avoidable but PR concerns, abstract timelines and competing priorities from State pushed aside purely operational concerns resulting in a constrained and limited ability for the mission commander to execute his set of fubar orders.
You know if a couple of them had spotted the suicide bomber, grabbed him and dragged him away from the crowd and got killed in the process but saved lots of other people that would qualify. I’m no expert but I don’t think just being in a crowd that gets blown up counts as extraordinary heroism.

It’s true. It used to be American owned. But no more. America abandoned it and the Taliban immediately took possession saying. “finders keepers.”
Technically she is correct but she is using word games to confuse the issue. We gave the equipment to the Afghan military and national police over the last 20 yrs. If they had held on to the country and were still using the equipment no one would have a problem with it. So we left Afghan owned American made military equipment behind.

This is why Elizabeth Warren can never win anything national. She’s completely tone deaf and makes unforced errors. The media had gone and squashed everything Afghanistan and she brings it up again for free criticism and debunking. This is just like when she got a DNA test that she wasn’t forced to get and proved how good she is at unforced errors.
She either screwed this up or has a quiet grudge against Biden and camp from the primaries.

She’s trying to claim that the military equipment the Taliban captured wasn’t ours because it had been given to the Afghan government, but even if we were to accept that as a true statement we know that MASSIVE amounts of military equipment was left by our own troops in the hasty retreat.
But no one will call Warren on this outright lie.
Elizabeth Warren is absolutely correct in saying that the Afghanistan withdrawal was an amazing undertaking. The Taliban will use their amazing undertaking donated by the Biden/Harris administration for years to come. Hopefully, we will have something besides dead American heros to show for it!
