Biden’s DOJ Gives Former FBI Official Andrew McCabe Back His Pension, Benefits, and Erases Mention of Firing

Biden’s DOJ is acting like the guy didn’t leak sensitive information to the media. The IG found McCabe did it only for his benefit to make himself look good.

The Biden administration gave disgraced former FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe his pension, benefits, and records will now show that he “retired” in March 2018 instead of getting fired.

Former President Donald Trump’s administration fired McCabe in March 2018 after an IG report found he “lacked candor” with others “about his authorization to leak sensitive information” about an FBI investigation into the Clinton Foundation.

A lot of evidence led the IG to conclude that McCabe “knowingly and intentionally” misled investigators. Former FBI Director James Comey said he never gave McCabe permission to speak to the media.

The IG said McCabe leaked the information to “advance his personal interest at the expense of the Department leadership.” McCabe also “violated the FBI’s and Department’s media policy and constituted misconduct” as he tried to “make himself look good.”

McCabe was about to retire when then-AG Jeff Sessions fired him.

McCabe filed a lawsuit in August 2019:

McCabe accused former President Donald Trump of causing his subordinates at the DOJ to participate in an “unconstitutional plan and scheme” to have him fired in an August 2019 lawsuit. McCabe said that his removal by Sessions was part of a broader plan by Trump to “discredit and remove DOJ and FBI employees who were deemed to be his partisan opponents because they were not politically loyal to him” in the suit against the DOJ, Attorney General William Barr, and FBI Director Christopher Wray. McCabe asked the judge to compel the DOJ to provide him with back pay, his full pension, and to expunge his record.

The Justice Department defended its 2018 firing of McCabe and sought to dismiss his lawsuit in November 2019.

“In the FBI, a lofty position does not lessen the need to abide by the ideals memorialized in its motto [“Fidelity, Loyalty, Bravery”]. To the contrary, the Deputy Director must lead first by example,” the Justice Department said of McCabe. The DOJ emphasized that “after a lengthy investigation, the Department’s Inspector General found, as detailed in a 34½-page report, that Plaintiff had repeatedly lacked candor under oath and not under oath in interviews with its investigators and with agents from the FBI’s Inspection Division.”

Former Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein said in June 2020 that McCabe, briefly the temporary head of the FBI after Comey was fired, was “not fully candid” with him about the memos written by Comey about his conversations with Trump. These were the so-called “Comey Memos.”

The lawsuit never went anywhere because McCabe and Biden’s DOJ came to a soft agreement:

The 11-page agreement noted that it “is neither an admission of liability by Defendants nor a concession by Plaintiff that his claims are not well-founded” and claimed that it was signed because “the Parties wish to resolve this dispute amicably, without the costs and burdens that would result from further litigation.”

The DOJ will give McCabe back his pension and $200,000 in back pension pay

The department will also pay his lawyers $539,000.

McCabe will also get “a mounted version of his FBI badge and Senior Executive Service cufflinks.”

The DOJ will walk back the firing and change the FBI’s records to show McCabe worked at the department from July 1996 to March 2018 when he retired as FBI deputy director.

And a Marine officer who spoke truth to power loses his pension and was thrown in the brig

And yet when a serf dares to complain to public authorities that his daughter was raped in a public school, he is manhandled, arrested, tried, convicted, and sentenced to prison.

    Seems fair to me.

In a real world, there would be reticence as to appear political and in giving this guy his pension, when he committed his efforts while working for your FBI, but no.. no such thing for Democrats. Giving McCabe his pension proves to too many of us, the FBI and all these folks were all ok with every effort to mess with the 2016 campaign and then go after Trump when he won somehow. Corruption x 100. Crazy times, eh?

Liberal Playbook: there is no penalty for carrying the party water.

Disgusting, but unfortunately, entirely predictable. The FBI is beyond fixing.

this is what happens when you choose not to prosecute a case, nice job by Trump’s DOJ.

Those who control the past control the future.
And those who control the present control the past.

Now, if only Republicans understood how to control the present.

I think the Franz von Papen Republicans understand. But they have carved out a profitable little niche for themselves and wouldn’t dream of disrupting it. Besides: no one puts on a better production of Failure Theater (TM) than the GOP.

We were a constitutional republic that now has fake elections decided by fake ballots and fake voters, all done to the backdrop of fake news. Why not also have a fake opposition party to guard the interests of the ruling Communist Party?

Of course they understand. Failure theater isn’t an accident.

Not surprising. One of the many perks of being a Communist is absolute power. What better way to demonstrate that power than by doing what the proles are forbidden to do – and then grind their faces in the mud to remind them of it?

The price tag for #NeverTrump gets higher and higher every day.

The payoff in plain sight.

This just openly states the United States of America is now a banana republic.

Where is Durham ? ?

Durham? Lol lol lol

Nice two tier justice system we have going.

Biden announced he had a mandate to govern – despite one of the thinnest margins in Congressional history. Both Senate and House are at or near a 50-50 split. Biden is screwing up because he believed those whispering in his ear about being the next FDR. Joe forgot that FDR had super-majorities in BOTH houses to push through his agenda.

Biden cannot push through his agenda but is trying his darnest to do so.

There is a silver-lining to this. Biden and Dems have revealed the kind of country and society they want to create – if they had the chance. It is a frightening dystopia where the FBI is morphed into the KGB and teachers are political hacks. Where government is racist and the supreme court would be a pawn of the party. During the cold war – we were told these were the things we were fighting against. How did we allow this too happen? If we EVER get out of this mess – let’s stay vigilant and NEVER allow such people to have power in America.

Our nation is in the situation it is in for two reasons, and two reasons ONLY:

1-Jeff Sessions
2-William Barr

I said it before but in what way would you say Democrats are socialist/marxist instead of fascist?

Communists never had any problems throwing other communists under the bus.

That sir is a fact. For some reason normal people believe there’s some huge difference between fascists and commies. Like they similarly believe there’s some huge difference between the Sunni and Shia.

The only difference these groups have is who should have absolute power and be in charge. There’s a reason why the Nazis and Soviets came to a meeting of the minds, so to speak, and sealed the Molotov-Ribbentrop pact. They’re two sides to the same counterfeit coin.

Leftards love to speculate on which is the lesser of two evils. Hoping they bet on the alligator who will kill them last.

“They brought a knife to a gun-fight.”

I’ve got to speak up on behalf of knives. Like they’re inferior weapons. You want to know one nice thing about knives? You don’t have to reload them, like guns. I love my guns. Don’t get me wrong. But.

They work. Every time. My K-Bar works.
