Sen. Graham: ‘I Will Go to War for’ Chick-fil-A

A few Notre Dame students do not want Chick-fil-A on the campus. Graham is tired of people trying to cancel the delicious and friendly restaurant.

I wonder when colleges and the left will realize they cannot defeat Chick-fil-A. The food is delicious. More importantly, has anyone left a Chick-fil-A without a smile on their face? The service is fantastic.

“Catholic” university Notre Dame is the latest college to squabble with Chick-fil-A. I use quotes around Catholic because, to me, the college has become a Catholic in name only.

Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC) is tired of people picking on Chick-fil-A.

Notre Dame Campus Dining wants to add Chick-fil-A to the campus. Some students have a problem with it because of the Chick-fil-A founder’s Christian values.

Because those values do not jibe with the student body at the Catholic university.

Students Tilly Keevan-Glascock and Joey Jegier wrote a hilarious letter to the Notre Dame newspaper. I guess they forgot they attend a supposed Catholic university.

Keevan-Glascock and Jegier criticized Chick-fil-A Foundation’s donations to the Fellowship of Christian Athletes, the Salvation Army, and the Paul Anderson Youth Home. The founders donate to the National Christian Charitable Foundation.

Hey, Keevan-Glascock and Jegier. You attend a private Catholic university. You have a diverse student body, but your university’s values are the same as Chick-fil-A.

Then the students blasted Chick-fil-A’s animal agriculture practices. This part blows my mind. I guess they are vegans, especially since they think Notre Dame does not need another fast-food restaurant.

“Consisting primarily of fried chicken and potatoes, the menu at Chick-fil-A does not supply an array of options suitable for a diverse campus community,” huffed Keevan-Glascock and Jegier. “Vegetarians and vegans, a growing minority of the student body would receive little benefit from a fried chicken restaurant.”

Oh, Chick-fil-A closing on Sundays “is not best for a bustling, hungry college campus.”

Like I said, Keevan-Glascock and Jegier join a long list of others attempting to cancel Chick-fil-A. It will not happen and you’ll just anger people because guess what.

People, even gays and non-Christians, love Chick-fil-A.

I vowed to stop eating out, but I think I will have Chick-fil-A after Mass on Saturday. It is right and just to have the Lord’s chicken after Mass.

I found this video on YouTube. I love some of the comments.

“All my lgbt friends agree that chick-fil-a is the tastiest homophobia you’ll ever eat and that’s it’s worth eating at.”

“Me and some friends went to Chickfila and one of them was trying to save money so didn’t get anything and the store manager was walking around talking to people and noted his peanut butter sandwich. And then brought him a chicken sandwich for free :)”

“The chick-fil-A in my area closed for renovations and the owner paid his employees for three months while the remodel was being done so he would not lose them. I can’t imagine how much that cost.”

“If I go to Chickfila and they get my order wrong, I just assume they know what’s best for me.”

“This could have been a 10 second video. It tastes great, they hire friendly, helpful people, and they always work to make the lines go as fast as possible.”

Lindsey Graham is a great warrior, in his own mind.

“Oh, Chick-fil-A closing on Sundays “is not best for a bustling, hungry college campus.””

Gee, how about thinking ahead, buy it on Saturday, cold fried chicken tastes great.

My only problem with Chick-fil-a is that the nearest one is 100 miles away.
I wish they would put one closer.

“Vegetarians and vegans, a growing minority of the student body would receive little benefit from a fried chicken restaurant.”

NB: Meat-eaters, the majority of the student body, would receive little benefit from a restaurant serving rabbit food and lab monstrosities such as “impossible” fake meats.

Yet do you ever hear of carnivores trying to shut down vegan eateries?

Nope – it’s called “live and let live.” Funny how that works out. Radical vegans (pretty much a redundancy), however, can’t seem to grasp this concept.

Chik-Fil-A is all about being responsive. I’m sure they would stock bags of chicken feed for all the vegan leftists who survived bursting into flame just from crossing the threshold.

I enjoy watching fake big shots get beaten.

NY State Thruway Authority has signed contracts with Chick-Fil-a to put their restaurant in remodeled NY State Thruway rest-stops. But we can’t have that either. Assemblyman Harry Bronson is trying to get them ousted because of their supposed political views. Oh, & complaints they are closed on Sundays.

Can’t we just be allowed to make up our own minds to patronize a business…..or not ?

Have you all forgotten Chick – Fil- A is NOT the CFA of past. The son of the founder was absolutely in on BLM, told all white people we are guilty as sin ( CRT ring a bell) and brought in Black people to his office and washed their feet!
He then hired an Obama
Man amd they changed who they donated any money too and it was t

“Keevan-Glascock and Jegier criticized Chick-fil-A Foundation’s donations to the Fellowship of Christian Athletes, the Salvation Army, and the Paul Anderson Youth Home. The founders donate to the National Christian Charitable Foundation”

So , no, I do not eat where he’ll resides, decent chicken and fast service aside…

Sometimes I wonder if the Left isn’t just having a ball with us. briar-patching us into fighting their battles.
“We’ll never accept a crypto-leftist Chik-Fil-A on our campus, you’ll have to force us!”
“We’ll never accept crypto-leftist Amy Coney Barrett on the Supreme Court. etc…”

Izapole in reply to gonzotx. | July 16, 2021 at 5:24 pm

And that is why I dropped them off my list of places to eat.

And screw Lightfoot Lindsey… liar and just awful human being

He could have done wonders for Trump but fed him a pile of crap…

Chicken and biscuits, finally something gets Graham off the couch and into fight!

Except he won’t even do that once the cameras stop rolling.

Mary – It’s jibe not jive. Otherwise spot on!

“Keevan-Glascock and Jegier criticized Chick-fil-A Foundation’s donations to the Fellowship of Christian Athletes, the Salvation Army, and the Paul Anderson Youth Home. The founders donate to the National Christian Charitable Foundation”

I thought they stopped donating to those causes, and are now donating only to woke causes.

    I think you are correct.

I am not a fan of chain fast food. We have some family taquerias that do a decent job. But the chains–not so much.

When the CFA furor started up, I broke down and ate there a time or two. Decent food and nice people. But, now that they have bent a knee, I no longer feel the obligation.

Danny in reply to Milhouse. | July 15, 2021 at 7:05 pm

They did Chick fil A hates us like most corporations today, going to war for it is simping of the most pathetic kind.

henrybowman in reply to Milhouse. | July 15, 2021 at 7:14 pm

First time I tried a Chik-Fil-A, I thought the food was unobjectionable but flavorless. (Hey, “chikin” will just never be beef,) After they became a conservative cause celebre, I tried them once more to see what all the fuss was about. The food was better, but still just not my first choice. When the founders caved on their targeted donations, and the CEO performed that obsequious shoeshine stunt on a rapper that didn’t even want to be a part of it, I decided they were a hill I didn’t even want to visit, much less die on.

Subotai Bahadur | July 15, 2021 at 5:57 pm

“The founders donate to the National Christian Charitable Foundation.”

The original founders did donate to conservative and Christian causes. There has been a generational change in the operation of the chain, AND the new ownership is as hard Left as they can be. They no longer donate or support any of the former causes and work to enable Leftist goals. I stopped supporting them when they started supporting us.

Oh bugger. That should be “I stopped supporting them when they STOPPED supporting us.” Did not catch that in time.

    Subotai Bahadur

Tasty food, fast, courteous service. What’s not to like?

This illustrates a difference between a Conservative and a Liberal. The Conservative-if you don’t like it, just don’t go.
The Liberal-if they don’t like something-no one gets any!

“… and they always work to make the lines go as fast as possible.”

I sincerely wish Chik-fil-A ran my local DMV. Just left after waiting in line for 4 1/2 hours, with at least another 2 hours to go. A smile would be nice too.

When you consider that with the technology available today – even yesterday’s RFID technology as a substitute for tags – what purpose do DMVs serve ? They are nothing more than a vehicle for taxing and transferring wealth to the otherwise unemployable. It could all be accomplished remotely or not at all (in a perfect world). … And, for those who need their vanity plates the state could license their plate design to friends of each governor.

Could we please please please please please please stop simping and going to war for corporations that hate us?

Is it too much to ask not to reward corporations for hating our guts?

Chick fil A decided we are all racists and that America is systemically racist fine it gets to stand alone with it’s new leftist friends we shouldn’t fight for it.

This is outright pathetic.

Here’s your rifle. Here’s your boots. Here’s your parachute. Now jump.

The Friendly Grizzly | July 15, 2021 at 8:36 pm

I’ve eaten at several Chick Fil A places. I don’t understand all the excitement.

Nor do I. Admittedly they’re very friendly, efficient, and their chicken offerings are better than similar offerings at other chains. As often as my wife and I visit the fam in Cornville, 3 out of 4 times we go out to fast food, CFA is way backed up so we turn into Steak and Shake instead. On the odd occasion, I hear the Power Bowls at Taco Bell call my name, too. 😉

Antifundamentalist in reply to The Friendly Grizzly. | July 16, 2021 at 9:46 am

I started visiting Chick Fil- A because of their air conditioned play areas during a hot Florida summer when my oldest two were young. The city, in it’s wisdom, cut down all the trees shading the playground equipment in most of the parks, so the kids couldn’t use it. Anyway, the chicken was good enough, play area was clean (unlike McD’s), and I got to sit in the AC with a large sweet tea and a book, sometimes chatting with other parents who were there for the same reason we were. Point is, the food is okay, but that isn’t the only draw. As for the hype, I think we can thank the left for that.

I used to love Chik Fil A salads and other items.

They changed their chicken, and I no longer eat there because it feels like they added some kind of chemical to their marinade. Makes me feel poisoned and miserable.

Multi grain English muffin
Greek yogurt parfait w/cookie crumbs or granola
Fruit cup
Waffle fries (cooked in canola oil)
Side salad
Kale crunch salad

All on the menu at every location

Sounds so good I wish they would open a kosher branch…would need to close on Saturday as well, though…

Sisu in reply to openeyes. | July 16, 2021 at 10:45 am

Wait, be patient, … it will happen. And, then G-d forbid some smarty pants from that league of Ivy will offer “Kosher ham” on a bagel. Oy Vey !

George_Kaplan | July 16, 2021 at 7:51 pm

CFA burnt a lot of good will when they abandoned their positions of old and attempted to appease the Left but supporting some of their causes. Still not enough for the Left to tolerate them, but far too much for some of their old customers to tolerate.

The Friendly Grizzly in reply to George_Kaplan. | July 16, 2021 at 8:41 pm

I seem to recall one of their upper management poo-pahs inviting the white customers to shine the shoes of black people.

    No.
