A petition making the rounds at Harvard seeks to prevent members of the Trump administration from doing pretty much anything at the school.

For an institution that’s supposedly dedicated to diversity and inclusion, they have a funny way of showing it.

The FOX Business Network reports:

Petition circulating at Harvard to stop former Trump administration officials from attending, teaching or speaking at the university

A petition circulating in the Harvard University student body seeks to ban Trump administration officials from teaching, speaking, or attending the institution because of their association with the president.

The petition, discovered by Fox Business’ Lydia Moynihan, represented the latest attempt to punish Trump associates. Students are demanding that if the university does associate with a Trump alumnus, they’ll “create and share with students transparent guidelines” for why.

Harvard, like other colleges, has been accused of censoring conservative viewpoints.

Here’s an excerpt from the petition:

Harvard Affiliates Open Letter Demanding Accountability for Trump Administration Alumni Invitations to Campus

Dear President Bacow and Harvard University Deans and Leadership,

After every presidential election, Harvard becomes a temporary home for officials from the outgoing administration. These bipartisan government connections allow the school to serve its student community better and to maintain ties, influence, and status with any administration.

We write to you now, in advance of the conclusion of the Trump administration, extremely concerned about the impact of the actions of this administration on fundamental democratic institutions. Most notably, in actively undermining faith in the electoral process and in refusing to concede the 2020 election, the Trump administration has trampled norms of free and fair elections and peaceful transfer of power that have defined our republic for over two centuries. These norms are crucial to the global well-being of democratic institutions. A complete disregard for the truth is a defining feature of many decisions made by this administration. That alone should be enough to draw a line.

We hold a variety of political views, but these actions alarm all of us invested in the future of democracy in the United States and abroad. We worry that in following tradition and inviting members of the Trump administration to Harvard, the school would be legitimizing this subversion of democratic principles that up to now had been universally accepted by both political parties. That is why today we are asking you to set up a system of accountability for high-level political appointees and Trump administration consultants before they are invited as fellows or to teach or speak on campus. These accountability guidelines should be publicly shared with students by the end of the calendar year.

Note that these students use the term “accountability” in their demands. Where could they have gotten that idea?

Obama killed American citizens with drones. Do you think his administration will ever be banned at Harvard?

The silence from the administration at Harvard is both deafening and disgusting. They are producing little fascists and cannot be bothered to even respond, much less try to educate the little (expletive deleted.)

    Can you say

“Harvard is a Racist, Fascist, Bigoted TERRORIST ORGANIZATION?

The majority of Americans can, and mean it with conviction.

Scared little snowflakes, terrified of even the appearance of any dissenting voice on their campus. Well, it’s no big deal, as they would just have shouted him down anyway.

“Students are demanding that if the university does associate with a Trump alumnus, they’ll “create and share with students transparent guidelines” for why.”

But associating with Jeffrey Epstein — why, that’s AOK.

If I were in charge of the Harvard Administration, you would hear crickets. Because I would not dignify student demands with any acknowledgement. Students have no standing to make demands!

If I were in charge of the Harvard Administration, you’d see a video of me holding a print out of their demands, dropping it onto the floor, and then pissing all over it.

Students have no standing to make demands!
      ^^THIS^^ A thousand times, this!
You’re students who are there because your learning is inadequate, and you are supposed to be gaining perspective and insight from the college faculty. Why do you think you have anything you can actually teach them?

But I agree with Hexenjager about the sort of response I would give (though I would use a shredder, as opposed to his method). Along with a hearty “You’re here to learn, not teach. Now shutup and get back to class.”

Fine – fair trade if we withhold all public money, including research grants, loans etc.

More and more, I am convinced that my idea of taking gifted high school students and offering them apprenticeships in Lou of college is the best idea. This way employers can get what they need without all the extraneous nonsense of the colleges are teaching now.

I am a little surprised companies aren’t instituting their own recruitment/training programs.

Probably cost and effort. In times past they could believe that a degree was evidence of a basic level of knowledge in the major area, and a demonstrated ability to deal with stupid administrative requirements on their way to the degree. They are going to learn that that belief is no longer valid.

You mean apprenticeships? A lot of the trades still do that. And some of the other employers are starting to to do it, too.

May I suggest permanent studies programs in foreign countries for these students and professors?

You’d think they’d be the most interesting teachers and, being relatively conservative, they could withstand–and not suppress–questions from their students.

ᕙ(`!´)ᕗ “LALALALALALALA! I’m not listening, I’m not listening! You can’t make me, you can’t make me! LALALALALALA!”

Affirmative discrimination is a progressive condition.

Libertarianism is self-organizing. Liberalism is divergent. Progressivism is monotonic. Conservativism is moderating. #PrinciplesMatter

American conservativism is Pro-Life, Liberty, and the pursuit of Happiness, and doesn’t exercise liberal license to indulge diversity (i.e. color judgments) bigotry.

That Harvard students include radicals who believe that they know everything, and are superior to the hoi poloi is no surprise.
Unfortunately, its administration lacks the gumption to discipline them. And, it is afraid that failing to stand for what is right and good is necessary in order to avoid trouble from such folks. They nurture antifa and these punks, and, like the cities that have protected rioting, they will be the first to be victimized and destroyed by the creatures their behavior encourages.

Al Gore didn’t concede till Dec 13, 2000 after litigating up to the SCOTUS

“For an institution that’s supposedly dedicated to diversity and inclusion…”

How about intelligence?

Are you familiar with the 1964 civil rights act?

    JusticeDelivered in reply to 2smartforlibs. | November 19, 2020 at 7:18 pm

Like so many other things, the civil rights act seemed reasonable, who could have predicted that blacks and Marxists would be at the center of warping it beyond recognition.

Dear Harvard, your Global Overlords are calling…
“The Trump Administration has trampled all over our peaceful absorbing of your colony, and as Agenda 21 has been grinding on too slowly, and The Overlords might die of old age before the wondrous implementation….Whaaaaaaa.”

The projection is so strong with these ones, it’s registering on the Richter scale.

Having taught at Cornell for 20 years, I am certain that the graduate students there are pissed off that they didn’t think of it first.

What, they don’t like the fact that cheating is allow anymore.

Just like every other totalitarian regime after it takes power. Lenin, Hitler, Pol Pot, Castro, Chavez, Mao, Ho Chi Minh, etc., etc. Here come the firing squads, “re-education” camps and gulags.

We “hold a variety of political views”…ranging from leftist to far leftist.

I assume the Harvard administration is hiding in the nearest closet
so the “students” can’t find those.
They maybe should burn the effing place down with those students who are the “superior idiots” still inside it.
