On Monday, the Trump campaign sent a letter to the presidential debate commission, which they called the “Biden Debate Commission,” suggesting they “rethink and reissue” the debate discussion topics in the last presidential debate scheduled for next week.

Letter here:

More from Fox News:

President Trump’s campaign manager sent a two-page letter on Monday to the Commission on Presidential Debates, asking the committee to “rethink and reissue” the topics that will be discussed during this week’s upcoming presidential debate in Nashville.

“For the good of campaign integrity, and for the benefit of the American people, we urge you to rethink and reissue a set of topics for the October 22 debate with an emphasis on foreign policy,” Bill Stepien tweeted on Monday.

odd how @JeffreyToobin
#zoomdick #ZoomDickIncident are making the rounds and…penetrating…deeper….than anything about #HunterBiden laptop stuff

and
some say 2020 is a red pill year. others know its a blue pill year

If I were trump I would bring them up myself
Screw them

Gonzotx -An accidental downvote as I big-thumbed my attempt to upvote you so please accept my apologies. The system won’t allow me to change it.

This is what is going to be interesting – Trump WILL attempt to bring them up, as well as Hunter Biden. The “Immoderater” is likely going to keep cutting off the microphone -of an American President- to try to prevent that.

All Hell is going to break loose after that happpens.

Given a 15-60 second broadcast delay the fact that Trump’s microphone was disabled, and his response to it, is easy to hide.

I think this is a great letter, and if the crooked PDC doesn’t put foreign policy back as the main topic for debate and doesn’t publicly promise not to screw with the microphones then Trump on Wednesday or maybe even Thursday (after Biden has been in hiding all week) announce he is not doing debate and will do another Sinclair townhall or a rally instead. The moderator and PDC will always guarantee Biden is protected and Trump is attacked.

Why do you think the PDC is talking about having person to cut off microphones? That way any time Trump tries to bring something up like the Biden Crime Family, they can just cut off his mike and have the moderator attack him for “not staying on topic”. I don’t think he should do the debate. It can only hurt him, and the PDC is in the process of handing him the “good reasons” to cancel the debate.

Changing the debate questions now would seriously fuck 10% Joe up…seriously! It’s just not going to happen with just one day until the next debate because Mr Ten Percent will not be able to learn his lines in time.

Mailman, Joe has been studying the questions on the “new” topics for the past week. The Debate Commission is not making a “last minute” change without having given Biden lots of advance notice. It is only Trump who they surprise.

“Campaigns Sends” One of them needs to lose an “s”.

Sorry, I used to be an editor. It drives me crazy.

Two entities severely afflicted with TDS: Presidential Debate Commission and the White House Correspondents Association. Two organizations that are supposed to serve the American people, but instead they serve the power structure of Washington D.C. and themselves. They’re in the process of burning down and will need to be rebuilt after the election.

Eliminate the moderator and have a Lincoln-Douglass style debate pared down for modern audiences.
Give each candidate a 20-minute constructive speech and a 10-minute rebuttal. Reverse the order of speakers for the second debate.
Let the candidates speak for themselves and let us listen to how they present themselves.
That will teach us much more than listening to them respond to some blowhard’s gotcha/wantcha questions.

Biden would never show up for such a thing. The only way to tempt Biden to show up is by tilting the rules way in his favor, and he has the PDC in his pocket helping him do that “legitimately”.

It’s huge the elder statesman Bob Dole spoke out about this corrupt PDC. That’s very helpful to Trump as it should be.

I don’t see this debate happening. It probably hurts Biden, because he will be out of sight for so long. Not sure what Trump gains by having a debate unless he’s able to go after his opponent. Even Biden can say some well crafted words about his “platform” which don’t mean anything.

What Trump gains is a forum to inform voters of the Joe and Hunter scandal

iconotastic in reply to MarkS. | October 19, 2020 at 9:33 pm

That is what I was thinking. Why allow the Democrat operative control the debate? The President should simply speak out on what he wishes to say. Demential Joe will sputter and drool. The ‘moderator’ is the real opponent.

This could be lots of fun to watch

      jrcowboy49 in reply to MarkS. | October 20, 2020 at 3:59 pm

Not really if he’s not allowed to discuss it.

        artichoke in reply to jrcowboy49. | October 22, 2020 at 10:15 am

What does “allowed” mean? He has a turn to speak, he speaks, and gets scolded by the libmoderator. Do we care about the last part? I am guessing now that the debate does happen. Just too much Hunter scandal news to report. Trump will have about 20 minutes to sound like a prosecutor.

perhaps PDJT would benefit the most by passing on any further debate, especially one so clearly biased and geared to insult/embarrass him–let biden hide

confirm barrett–reelect PDJT–keep the senate–take the house

then PDJT may roast biden as and when the president pleases

It is pointless to deal with this commission.
Trump and Biden can debate or no.
But this Commission, a non-profit that doubtless pays it’s members well, is clearly acting as a partisan entity.
They have only been around sinc ’87, and we managed without them before then.
It’s time to tell them to take a hike.
They are a legend in their own mind.

While this is entertaining, there’s no point in the “debates” themselves. Everything was decided when Democrats promoted race riots earlier in the year.

There’s no forgiving that, and no redemption. Now they must be destroyed.

Trump needs to bring his own bullhorn to the debate.

I wonder if they aren’t half-hoping to goad the President into backing out of this debate as well. So, they either get topics more favorable to Biden (or less favorable to Trump at least) or Biden gets out of facing Trump AGAIN with the President getting the “blame” for canceling.

The commission is doing a rehash of those old topics in order to give Biden a chance to give the answers that he should have given the first time around. Because Putin and Xi and Kim and Khamenei are all big on allowing do-overs, ya know.

Push back. Every time. On every issue. By every tool you have.

You don’t have to “win.” The fact of the push back makes it an issue. The fact of the push back grabs mews cycles. The fact of the push back raises the question: “Well, why don’t they want to talk Foreign Policy?”

The fact of this particular push back makes an opening: Well the most important element of securing our national security is our foreign policy. In that we’ve…

The other top elements are the strength of our economy, and our military. You really need all three, and I think what the administration can do directly, our biggest impact is foreign policy; but really you need all three and I really can’t rank their importance, just what we can do directly.
