Something’s Happening Here: Democrats laying foundation for action with their post-Election Day doomsday warnings

Democrats are setting the stage for something, what it is isn’t yet exactly clear. They are moving in unison along with the mainstream media to predict that Biden will win the election based on mail-in ballots counted in the weeks after Election Day, Trump will refuse to leave office, and then … well, then what?

None of this can be coincidence. The memo has gone out.

We’ve covered various iterations of these warnings, including from Hillary Clinton, a Democrat data group, and a Democrat-NeverTrump wargame analysis, in two recent posts:

Having spent four years perfecting resistance litigation against Trump, there is little doubt that Democrats will try to find a judge somewhere somehow who will issue an injunction or other relief to enable this theft to take place. Such relief may not ultimately prevail, but it will further the chaos.

Now we have Bernie Sanders, cheered on by Chuck Schumer, issuing similar warnings. Via Politico, Bernie warned, America must be prepared for when Trump refuses to leave office:

Bernie Sanders fears President Donald Trump will refuse to leave office if he loses reelection and is calling on Congress and the media to take action to prepare for that scenario now, he said in an interview with POLITICO.“This is not just idle speculation,” said Sanders, pointing to comments the president made at the GOP convention. “Trump was saying that the only way he could lose the election is if there was — let me get the exact quote — ‘the only way they can take this election away from us is if this is a rigged election.’ Now he is making that statement at a time when virtually every national poll has him behind.”….Sanders is also going to lay out in his message to his supporters a series of steps that should be taken now to prepare for the election. He will say news organizations need to alert people that the election results may not be known on Nov. 3. Social media companies “must finally get their act together” to ensure that election officials are not harassed and disinformation is not spread on their platforms, he said….Sanders said he is worried about what some Democratic strategists have called a “red mirage”: The appearance of a Trump lead on the night of the election in some battleground states, even if he lost, due to the fact that Republicans are more likely to vote in person, whereas many Democrats are planning to vote using mail ballots, which will take longer to count.

Bernie is not ruling out calling his supporters into the streets:

Sanders, who had a highly active group of volunteers during his two presidential campaigns, declined to answer whether he would call on his supporters to hit the streets if Trump refused to leave office, saying, “I don’t want to speculate about what happens the day after the election.”

Chuck Schumer, linking to the Politico article, is joining Bernie’s call:

This is important: I’m standing side-by-side with @SenSanders to make sure we have a plan if President Trump refuses to leave office.

My working theory was that Democrats, having convinced themselves and much of the country via the media, that Biden is the real winner despite what the Election Night results show, are trying to buy time to rig the mail-in ballot counting:

Democrats are going to try to steal the election after Election Day. The way they tried to steal Florida 2000 through selective recounting until the Supreme Court stopped them. If Trump is far ahead on Election Day, there will be pitched battles in swing states to count ballots in Democrat areas that arrive late or that don’t comply with the rules, and to disqualify valid ballots in Republican areas. The “Red Mirage” theory is the excuse to try.

But I’m beginning to think it’s more than that.

Michael Anton, author of The Flight 93 Election about 2016, calls what is unfolding The Coming Coup?

In his famously exhaustive discussion of conspiracies, Machiavelli goes out of his way to emphasize the indispensability of “operational security”—i.e., silence—to success. The first rule of conspiracy is, you do not talk about the conspiracy. The second rule of conspiracy is, you do not talk about the conspiracy. So why are the Democrats—publicly—talking about the conspiracy?Because they know that, for it to succeed, it must not look like a conspiracy. They need to plant the idea in the public mind, now, that their unlawful and illegitimate removal of President Trump from office will somehow be his fault….At this point, it’s safe to assume that unless Trump wins in a blowout that can’t be overcome by cheating and/or denied via the ruling class’s massive propaganda operation, that’s exactly what every Democratic politician and media organ will shout…….. Remember that phrase from the Dem war game: “street fight.” In other words, a repeat of this summer, only much, much bigger. Crank the propaganda to ear-drum shattering decibels and fill the streets of every major city with “protesters.” Shut down the country and allow only one message to be heard: “Trump must go.” I.e., what’s come to be known as a “color revolution,” the exact same playbook the American deep state runs in other countries whose leadership they don’t like and is currently running in Belarus. Oust a leader—even an elected one—through agitation and call it “democracy.” …If there is a conspiracy to remove President Trump from office even if he wins, they’re telling you about it precisely to get you ready for it, so that when it happens you won’t think it was a conspiracy; you’ll blame the president.

I think he’s onto something, but I have to admit what they’re up to is not exactly clear.
