Yikes, Biden asks Black Interviewer “Are you a junkie?” then mumbles about cognitive test

“C’mon Man”

https://twitter.com/TVNewsHQ/status/1290976795458707456

Y’all. Y’ALL. This is so bad.

During an interview with Errol Barnett of CBS News, Biden was asked if he’s taken a cognitive ability test. Biden completely flubbed the answer, saying no he hadn’t and then jumbling words while doing so. And is if that weren’t bad enough, he then asked the black host if he were a “junkie.”

Biden said, “No, I haven’t taken a test. Why the hell would I take a test? C’mon man. That’s like saying you, before you got in this program, if you take a test where you’re taking cocaine or not, what do you think huh? Are you a junkie?”

Just watch:

To his credit, Barnett kept rolling along. But man. There is no way to spin this in Biden’s favor. None. Nada. It’s far less funny and more sad.

There is no need to spin things that the majority of media will simply ignore. If, someone does the unthinkable and asks about it, his campaign will simply say that it’s all being taken out of context. The media will then apologize and criticize Trump’s mental health.

Dems are suicidin’ with Biden

What amazes me in all this is how lazy or stupid the average knuckle dragger is. How can you support this clown and I hate Trump is not a winning strategy.

how lazy or stupid the average knuckle dragger is … I hate Trump is not a winning strategy.

“I hate Trump” is all the stupid knuckle draggers need. My hope is they don’t outnumber the good guys. We won’t know for sure until November.

I strongly suspect they will claim an “acute” cerebrovascular event in the near future if and when he does something that even the hardcore MSM can’t gloss over.

Um, no, he didn’t ask Barnett whether he was a junkie, he compared the demand that he take a cognitive test to a hypothetical demand that Barnett take a drug test, and said that asking him whether he was senile would be like asking Barnett whether he was a junkie, and he takes the same offense that Barnett would at such a demand.

Of course stumbling over his words in the same sentence didn’t help his case. Sure, we all do that, even the most mentally agile person sometimes gets his tongue in a knot, but as Biden would say, “Come on, man”.

Can you imagine how the left would respond if Trump asked such a question of a black interviewer?

labrat in reply to Milhouse. | August 5, 2020 at 12:29 pm

I agree with Milouses’s take here. That’s the way I heard it.

CorkyAgain in reply to labrat. | August 5, 2020 at 1:36 pm

      Me too.

But the analogy to drug testing was probably unwise in the current climate of hypersensitivity and of gotcha politics. It will be interesting to see how it plays out in the black community.

The Friendly Grizzly in reply to CorkyAgain. | August 5, 2020 at 3:50 pm

Maybe it is time to stop walking on eggshells, wondering What Will Blacks Think? Or, What Will Karen Think?

I agree, but if you’re the Democrat candidate for President it’s politically expedient for you to be sensitive to how blacks might interpret what you say.

      You heard wrong

    DanJ1 in reply to Milhouse. | August 5, 2020 at 2:01 pm

That’s true. It was a hypothetical. My question is, would he have used the junkie analogy if Bernett was a white guy? This was clearly a racist slur, plain and simple. Biden gets a pass though because of the (D) after his name.

      Milhouse in reply to DanJ1. | August 5, 2020 at 6:33 pm

My question is, would he have used the junkie analogy if Bernett was a white guy?

Of course he would. Why would it even occur to you that he wouldn’t? There is no stereotype that black people are more likely than white ones to be using cocaine. On the contrary, cocaine (as opposed to crack) is stereotyped as a rich white people’s drug.

    Mac45 in reply to Milhouse. | August 5, 2020 at 2:24 pm

So, how about the multitude of people who take tests, including cognitive and psychological and drug tests every single year to gain or maintain employment? Cops, driving examiners, truck drivers, and many other professions require such tests. And, your average truck driver is not in a position to do nearly as much harm as the President of the Untied States of America. But, a candidate for the most powerful position in the world does not have to present any evidence that he is qualified for the position mentally, physically or legally? Really? I have to sit through a two hour test for general knowledge, submit to a 6-10 hour psychological test, a polygraph, a background check and an initial drug screening to get a job as a police officer, as well as submit to random drug testing to keep the job and a candidate for US President does not? Come on, man. Under those conditions, anyone can become President. Oh wait, that happened in 2008 and 2012, didn’t it?

The Friendly Grizzly in reply to Milhouse. | August 5, 2020 at 3:53 pm

Good afternoon, Milhous. I looked at the upticks and downticks your comment has received. It makes me wonder how many down-ticked you based on what you wrote, and how many are because you wrote it?

I often disagree with your views, and at times find them obtuse. But, and this is just me, I don’t down-tick you just to do it. In short, I am not Rags.

He used the word “YOU” 5 times, “You’re” once … after addressing him directly “c’mon man”. If however Biden had said “someone” … instead of “you” maybe I could agree.

That “c’mon man” line is very personal, pushy and short tempered, if not condescending. Someone needs to had Biden his ass over it.

      had = hand.

Should have also said dismissive rather than condescending.

Milhouse in reply to MrE. | August 5, 2020 at 6:36 pm

He used the word “you” because the hypothetical he was comparing Barnett’s question to was a similar question aimed at Barnett. The whole point was “How would you react if someone were to ask you whether you were a junkie, and to demand that you take a test to prove you were not?”

    ss396 in reply to Milhouse. | August 6, 2020 at 10:09 am

So what if Barnett was offended by it? The coast-to-coast demands from the National Stenography Corps that lead up to President Trump finally taking one were pretty offensive, too. Any bets that Barnett never bothered to whine about that? Let him go collect his Junior Crybabies Membership Card: he is well qualified.

cathammer in reply to Milhouse. | August 6, 2020 at 10:42 am

I just assumed, from the nature of the outburst, that Biden had momentarily confused Barnett with his son, Hunter.

Yeah, no. Why not ask Barnett if he had to take a cognitive test to appear as a host on a national television show? That’s the subject, right? Why go to “junkie” when the host is black?

It’s not like we don’t already know what Biden thinks of black people, how he revels in little black children playing with his leg hairs and once infamously commented that Obama is good because he’s the first black candidate who is “clean” and “well-spoken”? Qualities, to Biden, novel in a black person.

He clearly thinks all black people are alike, if you can’t decide between me and Trump, “you ain’t black” and “black people have no cultural diversity unlike Latinos.” You can make the case that he just pulled drug testing, cocaine, and “junkie” out of his butt and that had nothing to do with the host’s race, but it’s not even remotely credible given Biden’s track record of “gaffes” about black people.

Yet, the Dhimmi-crats laughably contend that this dim-witted, feeble-minded dotard is somehow gleefully salivating at the prospect of debating POTUS. That’s just rich. Funny stuff.

Paul in reply to guyjones. | August 5, 2020 at 11:39 am

If Biden does show up for a debate, Trump should focus on saying and doing things to trigger his anger. What we saw in Biden’s last public appearances before he retreated to his basement was a string of “in your face” moments where it was apparent that he couldn’t control his anger. This is common in dementia patients, and if the Dims are going to run this fool then Trump needs to drag him thoroughly and relentlessly, for the world can see in painful clarity what an inept and impaired moron he really is.

      Gersh204 in reply to Paul. | August 5, 2020 at 12:13 pm

I agree. People who are mentally deteriorating understand what is happening and will flash extreme anger at that it is a fight they are going to lose. Sad

guyjones in reply to Paul. | August 5, 2020 at 12:39 pm

Agreed. It’s funny, because, Trump is constantly derided for his allegedly combative persona, whereas, in actuality, it’s Biden who’s rather transparently thin-skinned, petulant and obnoxiously combative, insulting and denigrating any voter who dares to ask him a legitimately challenging question, or, to proffer mild criticism.

These traits are not only indicative of an insecure and arrogant persona, they are signs of a total lack of appropriate temperament and civility in basic interactions with voters, from a guy allegedly seeking their approval.

Go after Hunter and Ukraine. Guaranteed Biden eruption / stroke.

Trump is poised to take more of the black vote than Democrats have a clue.

The Democrats are who they have always been. They just change their costumes to hide out in the open. Time for Blacks to leave the Democrat plantation for good and be free of the suppression and manipulation.

Bear with me for a second; I’m not going off-topic.

My guess is that most of you would agree that the programming on TV is—to be kind—slim pickings. My wife and I did find a comedy show called “Alpha House” on Amazon Prime. It’s actually quite amusing; the casting is 10 out of 10.

Bringing it back to this story, Alpha House is written by Gary Trudeau, and Trudeau brings is usual wry cynicism to his effort. I almost feel like Trudeau is scripting Lunchbucket Joe’s media appearances.

Biden is so pathetic, it’s Doonesbury-like satire. It’s funny to watch, but only in a sad sort of way.

I have to think the Biden’s days on the ballot are numbered. I ask myself, was this the plan all along? The world wants to know.

    MajorWood in reply to tiger66. | August 5, 2020 at 12:45 pm

Alpha House is funny, because, I can actually laugh at myself. The absence of humility prevents any progressive from ever doing that.

I suspect Biden is just there to kill time. The Dem strategy is to criticize Trump to distract from their own complete lack of a platform.

Oh, they have a platform all right. Their platform is to turn the United States into a Maoist hellhole. And they are increasingly loud and proud about it.

Right now the Joseph Goebbels media is alternating between blatant untruths about a “return to normalcy” if the Communists are allowed to take power in November, and in-your-face threats of murder and mayhem if they are foiled.

At some point the Communist Party will do what they did in the years before the collapse of the Soviet Union: hide their geriatric leaders who were in poor health.

Sorry Dementia Joe, but your denial to take a cognitive test, after you said on air that you take them all time (which brings up what should be the obvious question of why if you are cognitively OK… hmmm) and refusal by you and your team to release the results, sounds like you are having trouble with the tests and the results are not good.

Biden tries far to hard to prove he has toughness. His lies about the bad dude Cornpop. His turning this interview into a “tough guy” who isn’t. His claims about shooting a shotgun in the air to deal with criminals breaking in as being the way to protect yourself, even though it ignores safe gun control.

He proved he is declining mentally everyday, not just in this interview, when he could barely get words out straight. You know the thing. …

He is frightened to debate President Trump. He is frightened to do just about anything. Hiding in his basement from the Wuhan Virus and claiming practicing good health practices instead of going to a virtual convention with few people around so he can pretape his acceptance to hide his growing number of gaffes.

He can’t let himself be exposed to anything less than a controlled, scripted interview, and even then he bungles it up.

Even if he wins through massive fraud, which is what mail in balloting is all about, he will never be President. You have to have a mind to do the job.

    Demonized in reply to oldgoat36. | August 5, 2020 at 1:54 pm

Biden increasingly reminds me of Chance the Gardener in “Being There”. But without any of the courtesy.

Don’t worry orange Man bad will be out due to voter fraud and we can go back to our regular establishment candidates. And everybody will clap there’s no more vulgarian in politics.

Asking about someone’s cognition, in the face of what is apparent, is far different that asking, without any idea, if one is a junkie.

Not to mention that when directed at a black man, anyone with sense would understand the implications and not do it. The analogy was awful.

Now…Lets see who in the DNC Lame Stream Media has the testicular fortitude to ask mumbles why he lied to the American People when he said prior that he was tested regularly.

Or, better yet, if he knew it was a lie.

Slow Mo Joe No Mo!

That fool claimed that he had taken cognitive tests before. It is all on video.

Nice people think this is sad. Kemberle seems like a nice person. I feel bad for the D base, not Biden.

Milhouse in reply to amwick. | August 5, 2020 at 9:03 pm

Well, he thinks he’s taken them before. At least he’s pretty sure he’s taken them before. It’s all a bit blurry, but he can almost picture himself there, being shown the pictures of the lion and the elephant.

Joe and his family are well versed in cocaine junkies

We’ll see who’s paying attention this Nov. I hope it’s a big majority of folks.
