There are few people who have contributed to the Trump Derangement Syndrome gripping half the nation than Joe Scarborough of MSNBC. Along with this co-host, guests, and other hosts at MSNBC, Scarborough fed the anti-Trump movement an almost four-year diet of paranoia and conspiracy theories.

That derangement is a backdrop and breeding groun for the BLM-Antifa riots taking place now in Portland and Seattle, and spreading elsewhere. Unlike the widespread earlier rioting and looting, the focus now is burning down federal courthouses and attacking the police, particularly federal law enforcement guarding federal buildings and property.

It’s not a good look for Democrats, and is being used by Trump against Biden.

Now Joe is worried that the images may help Trump.

How does breaking windows at a courthouse, setting fire to a federal building, firing guns in crowds, and committing acts of vandalism forward any cause? Actually, don’t bother because there is no good answer. It is self-destructive to any cause you promote.

Much of what is happening in Seattle, Portland, and other West Coast cities is not “peaceful”. Trump’s dangerous application of federal force has illicited the response he and Barr were hoping for….

Further escalation of violence from protesters is what Donald Trump wants.

Maybe you should have thought about that earlier, Joe.

They are MSNBC’s core audience, fed lunatic paranoid conspiracy theories by you and others for four years. Now the hate you helped create is out of control, and you are panicking, worried it will help
@realDonaldTrump. It will.

Scarborough is not alone. Lanny Davis is worried.

And so is David Axelrod.

Byron York has noticed the shift:

Many Democrats argued violence in Portland was result of Trump ‘secret police’ deployment there. Now violence flaring around country in places without deployment.

Politico reports (in typical ‘Republicans pounce’ style):

President Donald Trump is conjuring up an American dystopia — using the government and his supporters as producers.

At White House briefings, in far-right outlets and among Republicans, Trump’s allies have made a sound stage out of four blocks in Portland, turning it into a campaign ad for the president. On Friday, White House press secretary Kayleigh McEnany showed a video of Portland protesters yelling obscenities at police. On Capitol Hill, Republican Sen. Ted Cruz on Thursday announced he would hold a hearing on “antifa terrorism” and wrote an op-ed promising to “take back Portland.” On Fox News, pundits have turned attention to other cities, such as Chicago, that they claim are in similar situations. In short, they say, it’s the America Joe Biden would create.

Be afraid Joe, be very afraid.
