Dems now worried riots they lit may burn them politically

Joe Scarborough: “Further escalation of violence from protesters is what Donald Trump wants.”

There are few people who have contributed to the Trump Derangement Syndrome gripping half the nation than Joe Scarborough of MSNBC. Along with this co-host, guests, and other hosts at MSNBC, Scarborough fed the anti-Trump movement an almost four-year diet of paranoia and conspiracy theories.

That derangement is a backdrop and breeding groun for the BLM-Antifa riots taking place now in Portland and Seattle, and spreading elsewhere. Unlike the widespread earlier rioting and looting, the focus now is burning down federal courthouses and attacking the police, particularly federal law enforcement guarding federal buildings and property.

It’s not a good look for Democrats, and is being used by Trump against Biden.

Now Joe is worried that the images may help Trump.

How does breaking windows at a courthouse, setting fire to a federal building, firing guns in crowds, and committing acts of vandalism forward any cause? Actually, don’t bother because there is no good answer. It is self-destructive to any cause you promote.

Much of what is happening in Seattle, Portland, and other West Coast cities is not “peaceful”. Trump’s dangerous application of federal force has illicited the response he and Barr were hoping for….

Further escalation of violence from protesters is what Donald Trump wants.

Maybe you should have thought about that earlier, Joe.

They are MSNBC’s core audience, fed lunatic paranoid conspiracy theories by you and others for four years. Now the hate you helped create is out of control, and you are panicking, worried it will help
@realDonaldTrump. It will.

Scarborough is not alone. Lanny Davis is worried.

And so is David Axelrod.

Byron York has noticed the shift:

Many Democrats argued violence in Portland was result of Trump ‘secret police’ deployment there. Now violence flaring around country in places without deployment.

Politico reports (in typical ‘Republicans pounce’ style):

President Donald Trump is conjuring up an American dystopia — using the government and his supporters as producers.

At White House briefings, in far-right outlets and among Republicans, Trump’s allies have made a sound stage out of four blocks in Portland, turning it into a campaign ad for the president. On Friday, White House press secretary Kayleigh McEnany showed a video of Portland protesters yelling obscenities at police. On Capitol Hill, Republican Sen. Ted Cruz on Thursday announced he would hold a hearing on “antifa terrorism” and wrote an op-ed promising to “take back Portland.” On Fox News, pundits have turned attention to other cities, such as Chicago, that they claim are in similar situations. In short, they say, it’s the America Joe Biden would create.

Be afraid Joe, be very afraid.

” Trump’s allies have made a sound stage out of four blocks in Portland, turning it into a campaign ad for the president. ”

Sort of reminds me of Chicago in 1968. Only then Dailey recognized he had to stop it instead of leashing the PD to allow the riots, then making an appearance with the mob and deciding he needed to let the Portland PD loose after the mob attacked him. Nothing like a personal non-verbal attack to clear the mind to see your duty.

10 Big Fat Lies You’re Being Told About The Portland Riots

“It Reeks Of Orwell” – The COVID Coup (& How To Unlock Ourselves)

Outside of the few who have gained (and are still gaining) power and wealth from the panic, Americans are asking what it will take to end this outrage—not to modify it with any “new normal” decided by who knows whom, on who knows what authority. Since no one in authority is leading those who want to end it, Americans also wonder who may lead that cause. What follows suggests answers.

What history will record as the great COVID scam of 2020 is based on 1) a set of untruths and baseless assertions—often outright lies—about the novel coronavirus and its effects; 2) the production and maintenance of physical fear through a near-monopoly of communications to forestall challenges to the U.S.. ruling class, led by the Democratic Party, 3) defaulted opposition on the part of most Republicans, thus confirming their status as the ruling class’s junior partner. No default has been greater than that of America’s Christian churches—supposedly society’s guardians of truth.

Since obfuscation, pretense, and lies concerning the COVID-19 are the effective agents of the panic and of the seizure of arbitrary power, truth and clarity about it are the foundational requirements for escaping its effects. Here is a dose.

From early March 2020 on, the best-known authorities on epidemics—the World Health Organization and the U.S. Centers for Disease Control—presented the COVID-19 respiratory disease to the Western world as a danger equivalent to the plague. But China’s experience, which its government obfuscated, had already shown that the COVID-19 virus is much less like the plague and more like the flu. All that has happened since followed from falsifying this basic truth.

Our “best and brightest,” at first having minimized fears of person-to person contagion during January and February, during which the disease spread from China to the West, then declared that the virus is unusually contagious, and posited—on zero factual basis—that it would kill up to one in twenty persons it infected—5% infection/fatality rate (IFR). Based on that imagined fatality rate, they adopted mathematical models from Britain and the University of Washington that predicted that up to two million Americans would die of it…..

In short, COVID-19 is not America’s plague. It did not shake America. The ruling class shook it. They have not done it ignorantly or by mistake. They have done it to extort the general public’s compliance with their agendas. Their claim to speak on behalf of “science” is an attempt to avoid being held accountable for the enormous harm they are doing. They continue doing it because they want to hang on to the power the panic has brought them.

BTW: Whenever you hear someone claiming to speak on science’s behalf, referring to authorities rather than to facts and logic, you may be sure that person is a fraud.

Joe and Mika, his squeeze, side kick, mistress, home wrecker now wife had Trump on their show numerous times. Now Joe regrets his scheme to get HRC elected President back-fired and Joe can’t get the egg off his face after all this time.

david axlerod was concerned that the violence from the left would help PDJT, but expressed absolutely no concern over the actual violence, criminality, destruction of property, injuries and death resulting from the leftist mobs. These people are sick.

Rush was talking about one of the leftist magazines which had an article about the 4 black women most predicted for Veep for Joe.
The article was saying each had an Achilles heel.
As Rush put it, why are they worried? Don’t they have a 10% or better lead with Joe? LOL, they know they’re in trouble with Joe as the candidate and his veep choices aren’t real good.
One meme I saw had the cat telling kamala she was a “horeo”.

Can they be any more ignorant not to see the part they play in creating the hate and disunity so apparent now? Trump is not Machiavelli here.

Perhaps they see the mob will not spare them, and in some cases deservedly so.

The Democrats left wing base is totally out of control. The creature that they created has become a monster. As we get closer to the elections and their violence escalates they become more scared and desperate. The MSM can’t hide it any more.

And as for the rest of the country, the silent majority have been watching it all unfold. we know where its coming from and who is causing it. “Father the sleeper has wakened”

It helps to keep everything in perspective. Creepy ‘ol Joe the scarecrow didn’t win it. Bernie was cake-walking his way to the nomination when they up and took it from Bernie and gave it to Joe. Remember? And remember the “Bernie Bros?” That’s the antifa out rioting.

Don’t tell me Trump caused all this when we’ve been seeing similar violent tantrums from the Left for *decades*.

This isn’t new. It’s standard leftist revolutionary tactics. They’ll keep pushing the limits until they provoke a crackdown they can use in their propaganda crying “Police state!”

Joined in the streets, of course, by the usual useful idiots: naive liberals, kids who view it as a social event, misfits and sociopaths who just welcome the chance to indulge in some random destruction. I.e., the Democrats’ new base.

What do you think? Is “No justice, no peace!” the slogan of a peaceful protest? Or one which declares its violent intentions?

The one effective deterrant to such passive-aggressive baiting is to crack down on it so hard that even if its the reaction the baiter wanted, he won’t do it again. It wasn’t worth the hospital bill.

Jerry Nadler called them (riots) a myth.. A MYTH!!!
Funny/not funny.

Did he mean the riots, or Antifa? For a few weeks now, the Dem talking point has been that there’s no such thing as the Mafia — er, Antifa.

maxmillion in reply to CorkyAgain. | July 27, 2020 at 11:39 pm

FYI, it goes back a lot further than “weeks.” I’m in Portland, and Antifa has been active here for years, and the local media has been saying all along that Antifa “doesn’t exist,” and for a long while the media was blaming the violence on some conservative group called the “Proud Boys.” As if we had conservative groups marauding up and down the streets in Portland. I wish.

“Politico reports (in typical ‘Republicans pounce’ style)…”

If only the Republicans would actually pounce instead of cowering in fear of a nasty editorial from the NYT. I would even settle for hop. Mosey. Shuffle. Crawl. Twitch. Have a pulse.

Alas, the masterminds who run the GOP have decided to imitate a boulder and try not not move at all in the hope that the media will stop whipping them for merely existing. Good luck with that!

An old story about hoisting and petards comes to mind.

RE: Dems now worried riots they lit may burn them politically

Ya think?

Great put downs in the Tweets Professor!

Protesters in California set fire to a courthouse, damaged a police station and assaulted officers after a peaceful demonstration intensified.

This is such a great line; easily in “We had to destroy the village in order to save it” territory. I wonder how “intensely peaceful” a demonstration can be before everybody just falls asleep from boredom. And if they’re all asleep, do we still call them “activists”?

4 blocks in Portland … 6 blocks and a couple of bodies in Seattle … A couple of blocks and a body in Atlanta…. Bodies in St Louis … 750 burned and looted businesses in Minneapolis… NYC … Oakland

If these “peaceful protesters” being their show here to Flyover Country a lot of us ‘hick rubes’ will be more than happy to show them how our scary black rifles work.

It’s not what Trump wants. It may benefit the Trump campaign or it may not, but that’s different from wanting it.
