Trump Signs Executive Order Protecting National Monuments, Statues, and Memorials
Earlier in the week, a mob threatened to pull down the Emancipation Memorial in DC. Trump vowed he would not let that happen.
Friday evening Trump tweeted he’s signed a “very strong” Executive Order protecting monuments, statues, and memorials.

Thank you President Trump
This Man is doing everything he can for us
and he is so under appreciated, maligned and abused.
The military is on the verge of treason
Yet he fights for us
We must fight for him !!!
Start taking scalps in the military, clean out all the Obama scum.
Past time for this. As Obama purged Bush-era flag officers, so should Trump purge Obama-era officers. Their defiance of civilian authority, specifically Trump’s, was clear when Navy JAG gave achievement awards to the prosecution team that lost the Gallagher case as a result of their own misconduct, and it was reinforced when Call-Me-LTC Vindman got by with his “whistleblower” complaint and instead of being forced to retire received a War College appointment. The chairman of JCOS is an insubordinate tool, and retired flags forget their oaths.
How is the military one the verge of treason?
“On the verge”
Tiny buttons. Giant fingers.
America was designed by geniuses to be run by idiots.
Maybe 244 years is expecting too much.
Even if the cases are eventually thrown out the process should be oodles of fun for those arrested
Maybe some of the cases will be outside of DC and therefore have a chance of conviction.
An EO protecting monuments, etc. Why not just enforce existing laws against destruction of public property?
Public and private property. Perhaps because Democrat politicians, bureaucrats, and civil servants have kneeled on duty, distracted by ulterior motives, and need to have their attention focused.
Because enforcing those laws is not the President’s job, and those whose job it is refuse to do it. So he’s saying if you won’t do it we will. Good on him.
Thank you. I appreciate the clarification.
“But defending a piece of property isn’t worth taking a human life!”
Until that piece of property is the house where you live. The bed you sleep on. The home you raise your kids in. Then the “piece of property” is worth defending to the death.
Wake up. It’s not the statues and the monuments they want to destroy.
They want to destroy the rule of law, then YOU.
It’s more than theft …it’s intimidation and threat. Property is worth defending and taking a life i f necessary when intended to subjugate people. These are not victimless crimes.
As an FYI, the Emancipation Memorial sits on land belonging to the National Park Service. As in it’s on federal land. And if you wanted to buy any of the houses surrounding that park, you’ll be paying more than a million bucks.
Must see.
