Riots Continue in Cities Across the Country

Riots marked by violence, looting, and property destruction continued overnight in cities across the nation.

It is stunning to see Democrat cities overrun by rioting mobs as city officials do nothing to stop it.  It’s like they learned nothing from the Ferguson and Baltimore riots and didn’t even plan for future such events.

President Trump issued a warning to those organizing and traveling across state lines to agitate violence.

On Saturday, President Trump addressed the rioting and noted that George Floyd is being dishonored by the rioting purportedly in his name.

“I understand the pain that people are feeling. We support the right of peaceful protesters and we hear their pleas. But what we are now seeing on the streets of our cities has nothing to do with justice or with peace,” Trump continued. “The memory of George Floyd is being dishonored by rioters, looters, and anarchists.”. . . . “No one is more upset than fellow law enforcement officers by the small handful who fail to abide by their oath to serve and protect,” Trump said.“In America justice is never achieved at the hand of an angry mob. I will not allow angry mobs to dominate,” Trump said, declaring it “essential” that the “rule of law” and independent justice system be protected.

The rioting and chaos ensued overnight in cities across the nation.

The Washington Post reports:

Officials across America were responding to another night of escalating unrest after clashes erupted between protesters and police in dozens of cities Saturday. Tensions flared in cities from New York to Philadelphia to Columbia, S.C., as thousands of people amassed to protest the death of a black man in police custody.

Police cars were set aflame, freeways were blocked, windows were shattered and authorities deployed tear gas and even rubber bullets. Multiple governors activated the National Guard and curfews were enacted in several major cities, including Atlanta, Chicago, Louisville, Denver, Miami and Milwaukee.

. . . . New York City looked like a war zone with nearly two dozen torched police vehicles resulting in dozens of arrests. People defied curfews in cities across the country and experienced looting, break-ins and arson. In Philadelphia, demonstrators broke into a store near city hall and attempted to tear down the statue of a former mayor.

A store owner in Dallas was alleging attempting to protect his business with a blade weapon of some kind, and a mob descended on him, leaving  him crumpled and motionless in the street.

The Daily Mail reports:

Rioters last night hurled rocks at a business owner who was allegedly trying to defend his store with a sword before he was brutally beaten unconscious in Dallas.

The victim was stable, police said, after the man was seen slumped over in the street with blood pouring from gashes on his head in the Victory Park area of the city.

Footage shows the alleged store owner wielding a long blade and rushing towards a few rioters. Within seconds, a furious mob descends on the man, hurling rocks at him, kicking him in the head and beating his face with skateboards and fists.

Dallas Police said the man had taken up arms against the rioters to ‘allegedly protect his neighborhood from protesters.’

. . . . The victim’s body was mangled by the stomping and kicking of the mob, but he was able to sit up later and was seen holding his hand to his head before being taken in an ambulance.

The following video is absolutely horrifying—despite the text in this tweet and as noted above, it is being reported that the man survived this vicious mob beating.

Violence is rocking American cities.

Black leaders are speaking out against antifa inciting violence by black people, including children.

Good things are happening.

People are outraged.

It’s unclear what the endgame or goal is of those organizing and inciting violence, but one thing has long been true in American history and will remain true now: rioting makes Americans more conservative.
