“Mini Mike” Bloomberg is Maxi-Mad over Trump mocking his height

In response, Bloomberg campaign attacks Trump’s “fake hair, his obesity, and his spray-on tan”

Crooked Hillary. Low Energy Jeb. Sleepy Joe. Crazy Bernie.

Trump has a way of branding people in a way that exploits there weaknesses because the branding has at least some truth to it.

So how to criticize one of the wealthiest people on earth, a former Mayor of New York City, who happens to be running for president? Not just a “mere” billionaire, but someone worth over $50 billion who has made clear he will use that wealth to take down Trump’s reelection and already has spent $200 million on advertising. How to create a brand that cuts Mike Bloomberg to size?

“Mini Mike”

https://twitter.com/realDonaldTrump/status/1223839756234215424

That’s Trump’s brand for Bloomberg, and it has struck a nerve. Bloomberg reportedly is furious, as Charlie Gaspirino tweeted:

SCOOP-inside the @MikeBloomberg campaign advisers say Bloomy is fuming over @realDonaldTrump’s attacks, mocking of his height. Now is say he will support and fund even @BernieSanders to beat Trump. He plans to ramp up the personal attacks vs Trump through even more pointed TV ads

Yahoo News reports a similar finding that Trump mocking Bloomberg’s height has sparked fury, ‘I stand twice as tall as he does’: Bloomberg responds to Trump’s gibes about his height:

In one tweet, Bloomberg included a video of his response to a reporter’s question about Trump’s attacks.

“The president lies,” Bloomberg said. “He lies about everything. So, it shouldn’t be a surprise that he said things like that.”

“I stand twice as tall as he does on the stage, the stage that matters,” he said.

Bloomberg’s campaign is vigorously denying Trump’s claim that Bloomberg wants to stand on a box for the debate.

But by reacting emotionally, Bloomberg is giving air to the issue. And by attacking Trump’s physical attributes in response, Bloomberg is getting stuck in mud:

Bloomberg National Press Secretary Julie Wood focused issued a brief statement: “The president is lying. He is a pathological liar who lies about everything: his fake hair, his obesity, and his spray-on tan.”

Bloomberg seems to be reacting to his new brand emotionally, just like all the others reacted. That’s not smart. Trump wins this game every time.

“But by reacting emotionally, Bloomberg . . .”

proves, yet again, that lefties can dish it out but can’t take it.

Mini Mike doesn’t only refer to his height, which despite Mini Mike’s claim, he doesn’t stand taller than POTUS, it also refers to his liberal status outside NYC.
Bloomberg is a small man, in stature and in political ideology.
But hey, Kristol just joined the Democrats, so they can compete to see who is more meaningful in this election cycle.
Mini Mike. A piss poor mayor, would make a piss poor President, fortunately we don’t have to worry about that ever happening.

“it also refers to his liberal status outside NYC”

Al Smith learned that lesson. He used the The Sidewalks of New York song of the 1890s as a 1928 campaign tag. The rest of the country didn’t know what to make of either the song or this cigar-chomping, gruff, big spender of public money character.

Wikipedia says Mike is 5’8. If he is 5’8 then I am 7’0.

      (And I’m not.)

        And I’m 8’2.”

          Eyes of blue?

We don’t need some guy with short-man complex as our president. Especially one who at least appears to want to buy the office as some sort of plaything.

Mike: buy a yacht instead. Ask John Kerry about good places to dock it to avoid high tax rates.

According to the whoores of NY, it also refers to his micropenis.

    Is Mini Mike related to
    Mini Haha
formerly of Oklahoma and the MA state?

Maybe Mike will need a step ladder to reach the top of his stage box. Every time I look at him he seems to get shorter. Maybe he can stuff wads of $100 bills in his shoes to make up the difference.

Talk about short. If he becomes president expect to see beer cans shrink to 6 1/2 oz.

Can we find some way to get Bloomberg to ride a tank?

Poor Man Molehill Mike. He’s never gotten over not being able to go on any of the rides at Coney Island.

I laugh every time he pays for a commercial bragging about all he has done for NYC.

The only thing he did right was backing the police early in his tenure. Other than that, he did a bunch of crap he claims as victories in his ads that have contributed to many of New York’s current budgetary woes. Cuomo certainly hasn’t helped nor has De Blasio, but it started with Bloomie.

Also, did anyone else notice that in his reactionary retort, Bloomberg avoided saying anything about the DNC rigging that is going on.

Once Trump gives you a forever name it sticks. Just ask Crooked Hillary and Low Energy Jeb!.

Idiot can’t have fun with it. No he takes the bait like a 10 year old.

so consumed with power that he had to have a third term as mayor at nearly any cost

All I know about NYC is that it’s gone to seed since Guiliani fixed their broken windows.

Maybe he’ll fall off the box.

Money can’t buy love. In that regard, PDJT is the richest politician on earth, and without spending a dime.

Trump sure triggers the left. He knows just what buttons to push and he could care less what they say about him.

Some “news” outlet was fact-checking Trump on Mini Mike using a box to stand on while on stage.
I mean, honestly, how deprived of common sense do you have to be to waste a minute of time doing such a thing in order to prop up a candidate over nothing?
The left focus only on non-issues because they are frightened of highlighting the stances of the left which have not worked vs. all that Trump has done which is causing a booming economy.
Mini Mike is big about one thing though, he wants a 9 trillion dollar tax increase. Yeah, that is going to stimulate the country.

Mini Mike is going to stick.

The brilliance of it is that it doesn’t have to be just physically mocking, it can be about how small his presence, his ideas are. The best brand words have an effect that conjures up images beyond the single literal word.

And every time you see him, you are reminded of it.

Fabulous! It will stick well beyond 2020, which is good because he is dangerous between his money and his bad ideas.

“Mini Mike”

Isn’t that how “Madam Butterfly” referred to him in her little book?

Fat shaming? I thought the left said we shouldn’t be doing that anymore. Or does that rule, like so many rules from the left, only apply when the subject is female?

Trump is fat? I prefer to think of him as having opulent corpulence.

MiniBloom had already spent over $200 million which bought him an exemption to get past the debate requirements. He spent $10 million for his anti-gun SB ad. He has vowed to spend his entire $55-60 billion money pile to defeat Trump. Now THAT is a funeral pyre that will be visible from Mars! And I thought burning $2+ billion on Hillary in 2016 might have taught them that their cancer just doesn’t sell. It’s perfectly fine with me if these commies insist on spending their way to destitution.

During Trump’s rally in Des Moines, he talked about Mini Mike and gestured to his mid-chest saying, “Mini Mike, I’ve had him up to here.” It still cracks me up! It’s at 6:06:50 in the video:

Okay, I was wrong. I listened to this whole interview, and I didn’t remember the correct numbers. Mini Mike gave the DNC 200 million.

Bannon speaking with Bartiromo yesterday:

And this is what — this is why Bloomberg, Nancy — remember, he wouldn’t never have been impeached if Bloomberg hadn’t given Nancy Pelosi $100 million for her candidates.

BARTIROMO: Right.

BANNON: He won 21 of those 20.

He’s taking — he’s taking $100 million of advertising during the impeachment just to hammer Trump.

BARTIROMO: So, the president tweeted last night: “Mini Mike is now negotiating both to get on the Democratic primary debate stage and to have the right to stand on boxes or a lift during the debates. This is something — sometimes done, but not fair.”

Do you think that is why…

BANNON: I love the way that President Trump can get personal very quickly.

BARTIROMO: Do you think that’s why they changed the rules, because he gave $100 million to the DNC last year, and he’s pledging up to $2 billion?

BANNON: Absolutely.

BARTIROMO: That’s why they changed the rules?

BANNON: He’s doing a leveraged buyout of the Democratic Party.

And the centrists, the Wall Street faction, the global corporatists, they understand Joe Biden. Joe Biden’s performance in Iowa has been pathetic. And if you watch it closely, only two-thirds of the things are full. The little V.F. halls, they are full.

He’s not on point. He can’t bring the heat. They understand — they understand Mayor Pete, a small-town mayor from Indiana, is not going to be president. There’s no centrist candidate.

That’s why Biden — that’s why Bloomberg money’s coming in to get him more stature. Now, he’s not going to be the nominee, I don’t think. And there’s no chance he can beat Trump.

So — but they…

BARTIROMO: Are we going to see a brokered convention? Where is this going?

Hillary Clinton said…

BANNON: Yes, Hillary Clinton.

BARTIROMO: Hillary Clinton is not done talking about Bernie Sanders.

In a podcast, she says: It’s not my experience from 2016 that what — that he’s going to unite the party. Nobody trusts him. You can’t work with him.

I mean, he’s still — she’s still trashing Bernie Sanders.

BANNON: Bloomberg money’s and Clinton — in a brokered convention, the centrists will look to Clinton to save the — save the party, as I have said, when they don’t have a centrist.

Katy L. Stamper | February 3, 2020 at 9:50 am

Damn. $100 million he said, not $200m. Sorry!

And Mini Mike pledged to spend $2 Billion to beat Trump. As Bannon said, leveraged buyout of the DNC.

I’ve been reading that he has already spent over $200 million on ads. I wonder if that $100 million he gave Nancy last year is the same money. After all, he has been spending money on himself in addition to the $100 million he gave to Nancy last year.

Close The Fed in reply to Pasadena Phil. | February 3, 2020 at 3:47 pm

I listened to the entire interview. Maria Bartiromo said he gave the $100m to the dems “last year” meaning 2018. Bannon said he did it supporting dem candidates in house races.

So, the DNC is very grateful, as is the restored Speaker Madam Nancy Pelosi, for his extremely large contributions.

I think that MANY PEOPLE — not all — are MISSING Bernie’s game:

he WANTS the DNC to RIG the election against him … so that he can have them, AGAIN, BUY HIM OUT … for $MILLIONS$ … and, in 2024 it will be an even BIGGER AMOUNT.

Deep down, even though he is a true socialist zealot — how pathetic — Bernie KNOWS that he will never be POTUS … let alone the fact that he is too old and not in the best of health … so, he is playing the NEXT BEST GAME … and doing it very well.

The problem with President Trump is he’s done on January 20, 2024. If “Mini Mike” is still around by then, he can buy a photogenic young candidate at least 1 term in office. After all, you don’t think AOC was chosen for her intellect or charm, do you?

Steve Bannon Says “Mini Mike” doesn’t want to be POTUS: He wants to control the party by money and choose the next candidate. Bannon believes Hillary will be the Democrat Party candidate after a hung and brokered convention. Check his opinion out: https://www.americanthinker.com/blog/2020/02/steve_bannon_lays_out_a_shocking_scenario_of_the_real_reason_behind_bloombergs_investment_of_2_billion_in_politics.html

Mini Mike is not stupid: He knows he can’t win against Trump. So even if the Democrats lose against Trump in 2016, all he has to do is 1) survive, 2) win the Senate (which ends Constitutionalist Judges from being confirmed and 3) play the long game as king-maker.

“Mini-Mike” is and always has been the most dangerous figure in American Politics.

It wasn’t a reference to Bloomerg’s physical stature. He’s a mental midget.

If Mini Mike won would the United States make Bermuda a territory?

“mini Mike”?
I’ve taken a fair amount of flak online and in person for telling people that the impeachment was a coup attempt. Now that that danger is over for the moment, Trump is right back to his cloddish ways. Thanks for nothing, mister.

Being short myself, I don’t like attack directed at a person’s physical appearance because that is nothing he is responsible for. I think a better slam would be “Soda pop killer.”

Jackie in reply to JAB. | February 3, 2020 at 11:46 am

We are all flawed. I wish he wouldn’t do stuff like that, but as long as he keeps appointing conservative Judges and making trade deals that help all of us, I can put up with the juvenile banter he does to upset Bloomberg. Bloomberg promised to spend over a billion dollars on the campaign. He wants to buy the election. He owns 7 helicopters and several planes. He wants us to freeze in the winter, while he flies to his private Island. He complains about climate change yet flies private several times a month. We should not have the right to be armed, while he is surrounded by armed security.

Methinks it doesn’t count when you do it to a psychopath….

Hilary? Hilary is that you in Mini Mike’s platform shoes?

Close The Fed in reply to JAB. | February 3, 2020 at 3:51 pm

I basically agree with Jab on appearances, which is why I don’t like to make fun of, for example, Michele Obama’s appearance.

However, in Mini Mike’s case, I make an exception and I can’t actually put my finger on why. It’s from a feeling about him.

It may be that he clearly wouldn’t hesitate to put us all in reeducation camps – and I mean, like, buy the presidency this year, and next January start moving us into camps.

Someone like that needs to be taken down several notches, and if he has a vulnerable spot about his height, I’ll take it.

notamemberofanyorganizedpolicital in reply to Close The Fed. | February 3, 2020 at 6:10 pm

In direct opposition of what we are all taught about interviews, interviewing, and first impressions isn’t it.

In that light, I won’t be surprised if Mini Mike shows up wearing a too small halter top and lipstick……….

    Toad-O in reply to JAB. | February 3, 2020 at 6:49 pm

Hit them where it hurts. “Mini-Mike” is a reminder that Bloomberg’s lack of stature is not just physical.

My wife thinks Bloomberg has been growing taller. She says that if you look closely you can see that he’s been growing right up through his hair.

I can hardly wait for Slow Joe to say “Stand up Mike” the first time Bloomberg is on the debate stage.

I read a column that Bloomberg is making a leveraged buyout of the Democratic Party and that his ultimate goal is to be the oligarch of the party.

Suck it, Mikey. Honey badger Trump don’t care about your lame response. 8>)

If Bloomberg doesn’t stand on a box, you won’t be able to see anything below his forehead behind the lectern.

He had to reference Lord of the Rings in there somehow. ‘Do you want me to describe it to you, or should I get you a box?’

Mini Mike figures out something else to stand on instead of wooden cola flats……
