Don Lemon Gives World’s Worst Non-Apology After His Panel Bashing Trump Supporters

“I didn’t catch everything that was said”

Under fire for a hideous panel in which he and his guests mocked Trump supporters (which the RNC turned into an ad), CNN host Don Lemon issued THE worst non-apology Tuesday.

He took no responsibility for allowing his guest to trash half the country or for participating and instead said that he didn’t hear everything and was just laughing at the joke… which makes zero sense.

Lemon said:

“And one final note that I have for you because this is personally important for me to address this, ok? Anyone, ask anyone who knows me, they’ll tell you — I don’t believe in belittling people, belittling anyone for who they are, for what they believe or where they’re from. During an interview on Saturday night, one of my guests said something that made me laugh and while in the moment I found that joke humorous and I didn’t catch everything that was said. Just to make this perfectly clear — I was laughing at the joke and not at any group of people.”

.”..I was laughing too hard”

CNN places color before character.

Wow. It’s always ‘left turns’ only with these clowns.

Remember when Tator Stelter claimed ‘technical difficulties’ after his insufferable guest insisted Trump was worse than Hitler, Stalin and Mao combined?

Your own Mr. LaChance remarked, “CNN got Alex Jones banned from all social media for less than this.”

As for me and my house, I want to thank lil Donnie Boi for the awesome sauce GOP commercial fodder. The check is in the mail. *wink

“I was laughing because I had a log tickling my eye.”

It’s already an RNC commercial along with other democrat elites mocking rube Trump supporters. PDJT came down the escalator a long time ago, at least long long enough for them to have learned insulting half the country isn’t a winning strategy.

A foolish, scrubbed up, brushed down, lotioned, Manhattan soiboi.

Both LeMon and Anderson Cooper look like they sleep in science fiction-like tank farms filled with regenerative cream products made from compounds harvested from Chinese fetuses.

    You had that impression, too?

Yeah. I find the hyper-reality of broadcast news highly disturbing – especially the over-processed visual aspect of it all. The gambling casino-like pulsing lights and brightly colored streamers.

It’s a uncanny valley inhabited by uncanny beings mouthing strange fictions.

I get a similar vibe from BBC radio – producers lay music and musical notes and sound effects over news stories. It’s dangerously seductive.

Speak to the hand, moron.

Just ignore this putz.

On a more positive note for Don Lemon, this episode will not have any impact on his low ratings.

You guys… Don Lemon clarified that he wasn’t laughing at people… he was laughing at the joke… THAT WAS ABOUT THE PEOPLE.

Um, no, it wasn’t. It was about Trump. It wasn’t that funny, but if you look at the recording you see that that is what sends him into hysterics, and by the time the offensive stuff comes out he’s not listening, he’s ROFL at the lame joke. “Trump is dumb, huh, huh, did you hear that, Trump is dummmmm.” The other guest was laughing at the offensive stuff, but he had the grace to apologize immediately.

Are you giving him a pass for responsibility on items that run on the show he hosted? The guest he invited?

C’mon densehouse you are smarter than this…have one of your moments of clarity.

I am saying what is on the recording, which everybody can see. The joke he was laughing at WAS NOT ABOUT THE PEOPLE. Tim Young who wrote that did not write the truth.

And if you look at the recording it’s clear that Lemon is telling the truth. You can see that Wilson tells a lame joke at Trump’s expense, Lemon starts laughing as if it’s the funniest thing he’s heard in a long time, and meanwhile Wilson goes into his truly offensive yokel routine. Wajahat Ali is listening and chuckling, while Lemon is still in hysterics and it’s very plausible that he doesn’t even hear what Wilson is saying. Then as soon as Wilson finishes Ali apologizes for having laughed. Look at the recording yourself and that is what you will see.

And yes, I do give him a pass for what his guest said. He didn’t know Wilson was going to do that, he didn’t hear it when it happened, so how is it his fault? What is this, vicarious responsibility? Is Wilson notorious for doing this sort of thing? I guess now he is, but he wasn’t before.

        Milhouse…

The whole segment reminds me of that morning drive-time/happy talk/jokey BS radio shtick, where the “crew” yaks about insanely stupid stuff and laughs their asses off, while you, the listener, are thinking…..”Holy Crap…these F’ers SUCK…!!!!”

It’s also obvious the “yokel” bit is one of Wilson and Ali’s “go to” routines (it’s a take-off of a Kevin Meaney joke). But would they tell these jokes to a bar full of rednecks…? I…….doubt it….

I’m more annoyed by Don Lemon’s fake apology than by anything that was said in the “three stooges” video clip…
Everyone knows you’re an elitist A-hole, Lemmey….don’t apologize, own it…!!!

What he said doesn’t even rise to the level of a Seinfeld defined “non-pology”.

In a non-pology, they say, essentially (and often literally), “I’m sorry you were offended.” Which, of course, dodges actually acknowledging what you did was wrong and apologizing for doing it.

Lemon, here, is saying he did nothing wrong.

He doesn’t have to apologize. Everybody wants an apology these days.

They must think it resonates with women, their audience.
