Professor Jacobson in Houston: Winning the Raging Free Speech Wars

Professor Jacobson in Houston: Winning the Raging Free Speech Wars

“Advocating free speech is now considered hate speech by a significant segment of the college population.”

Monday night, we had the privilege of putting faces to screen names at our first ever Legal Insurrection reader reception. I’ve said often and firmly believe we have one of the internet’s best readerships and having the opportunity to meet our readers in-person confirmed as much.

We visited, ate nachos, and had cake to celebrate Legal Insurrection’s 11th birthday.

Following the reception, we moved to a banquet room where we joined our friends at the Kingwood Tea Party. There, Professor Jacobson discussed the free speech wars, which we end up fighting regularly, thanks to the big tech powers that be.

Watch here:

And Q&A found here:

A huge “thank you!” to everyone who braved the weather to spend time with us. We appreciate you and look forward to getting out and about around the country to meet even more of y’all in the coming months.

I wish I had been there, but I was tending to some personal family matters. I would have enjoyed Los Cucos more than the hospital food I ate yesterday.

Hope you get to better feeling soon!

      Kemberlee,

It wasn’t I. It’s someone else very close in my family. I just didn’t want to spill the beans in this public forum. And it has something to do with cancer.

So yeah. That was why I didn’t make it there, but I really, Really, REALLY wanted to meet y’all.

Wish I could have been there as well. My wife & I had our monthly cancer support meeting and though we’re both in remission, we still attend to support others.

Nachos? Cake? Two of my 3 reasons for not doing the Keto diet. The other is ice cream, of course. Hope you washed it down with something equally tasty!

Is everyone in the 2nd photo an LI reader/commenter, Kemberlee?

Any loopy Dems outside demonstrating and calling you ‘Nazis’?

A very exciting development!
