The presidential ambitions of the leading Democrat candidates may not survive CNN’s 7-Hour ‘Climate Change’ Townhall.

It was a man-made disaster, created in the fevered swamps of CNN and fueled by pledges of allegiance to Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez’s Green New Deal.

The candidates came across as not-serious-people. Worse, they came across as nanny-state monsters who really do want to take away your plastic straws and cheeseburgers to save the planet. It was a self-parody of what woke totalitarianism sounds like, with an abnormal focus on meat.

Republican attack-ad makers have hours of footage that can be sliced and diced to make any of the candidates who appeared at the Townhall look insane. And they wasted no time.

Surging Elizabeth Warren epitomized the self-parody, complaining that the fossil fuel industry wants you to talk about light bulbs, straws and cheeseburgers, while she and the other Democrat candidates talked about light bulbs, straws, and cheeseburgers.

It’s AOC’s party now.

This is another reason why those polls showing any of the Democrat clown car occupants beating Trump by any margin are worthless. Nobody but us junkies is paying attention to their ravings. Once Trump and the RNC are running ads 24/7 featuring these loons it’ll be over before a single vote is cast. Hell he might win all 50 states.

Did you catch Mayor Pete talking about an angry climate god?

Are we to believe that’s why Mayor Pet of South Bend, IN spends so much time down on his…..

Actually, this seven hour propaganda-fest may turn out to have been useful. If very many people really paid close attention to it, they should have no trouble figuring out that all these candidates are lying morons, and their man-made climate change is as lunatic and baseless as any of the other things they’re pushing. Rather than listening to a few short clips of them on the news, a long, steady stream of this stupidity might get to people.

Trump could get 49 states easily…if he promised to wall-off California.

JusticeDelivered in reply to Leslie Eastman. | September 5, 2019 at 9:44 pm

I think it is a mistake to cede California to invaders, better to move the military in and drive all the illegals back to Mexico.

Many in Cali would forego payment to quarter U.S. Troops for that mission. 3A donation so to speak

Thank you! That is what Californians were fighting for until the Bush/Rove idiots from Texas took over the GOP state committee and abandoned the traditional campaign values of CA voters. Suddenly we were told that border control, DOMA, spending reduction etc… were losing issues. By 2012, there would not be a single Republican elected to statewide office. First time since 1932. Now those Texans are working on Texas and succeeding all the while blaming Californians for moving there. It’s time to stop blaming Californians and blame the dirty politicians.

I’m leaving CA myself and believe me, I am leaving for the right reasons. I expect to be much more “conservative” (whatever that means these days) than any state I move to. AZ looks like it’s about to turn blue too and none of my California friends who moved there are liberal.

It’s time we finally stop blaming California voters for what is going on. When the issues were on the ballot, the conservative issues won. Then the politicians and judges reversed the ballot decisions. Gee, where else is that happening? Everywhere?

How explicitly obvious does it have to be for people to see the obvious? There is a lot of “stupid” among us too. Like-minded people have to drop their provincial attitudes and start putting the blame where it lies, our own complacency. It would really help if the GOP was on our side. Don’t believe for one second that they are. That part still hasn’t changed.

        Well said!

I am afraid you are fight. Look what mass migration and ex pat Northeasterners have done to the Commonwealth of Virginia.

There you go again. Neither Bush NOR Rove was responsible for your self-destruction, and TDS is, in any event, not going to help cure your ills. Let me point out that we had to deal with the ACTUAL Bushes and Rove and we didn’t become California. It’s nice that you’re finally abandoning ship along with the million or so who have already left, but don’t move here. We already have too many Californians.

I know the facts. I live here. The point was, we’ve been dealing with the Bushes and the Roves for decades. They have nothing to do with either what’s happened to California, nor Democrat efforts to amnesty enough illegals to turn Texas blue.

Phil has a sad case of the TDS… Texas Derangement Syndrome.

The problem is that we have Vichy Republicans ( https://www.trevorloudon.com/2017/11/down-with-vichy-republican-collaborators-part-i-of-iv/ ) — that is, PROGRESSIVES — in both parties.

The GOP Establishment (as a practical matter) exists as the Progressive / Globalist charade to make it appear to voters that they have a choice. The reason the GOP caves to Progressive Democrats even when the “GOP” is in the majority is not due to lack of backbone; rather, they’re just working the plan.

They hate the “Deplorables” as much as any Democrat, and that is why the work against President Trump — if only by inaction, so as to maintain the charade that the GOP is a “Conservative” alternative to the Dems.

LOL Leslie, thanks for the biggest laugh of the day!!!!!!

BTW what language is Bernie speaking? Think he’s suffering from the same things Biden has.

I would settle for the United States seceding from the People’s Democratic Republic of California.

Ask not what your country can do for you…stamp your foot and demand it!

Joe Biden’s reaction to climate change was to burst a blood vessel in his eye. Imagine if he had to face a true emergency as President.

Forget about cow flatulence. How much global warming was caused by the seven hours of worthless hot air spewed out about the Green New Deal?

Is there a transcript anywhere? I didn’t watch it because I didn’t want to endanger my $3,000 TV.

The RNC has a problem.

So many clips they could just play whole in ads. So little time.

The clown car collides with the Circus sideshow.

Maybe “Q” is putting funny mushrooms into their drinking water.

We could replace nuclear power if we could harness the Democratic candidates self-immolation.

At this rate California will be a swing state.

And this is before Trump sends his directed Twitter missiles. He doesn’t need to so far.

Remember 2015-6 with the Republicans debating? ANY one of them was sane in comparison. Even Trump who was an outlier but instead of trying to out stupid he showed he had no guile.

No, in California they think this is sanity.

lc in reply to tz. | September 6, 2019 at 8:44 am

The RNC has failed time and time again to educate the populace on conservatism.
You are right- so many ads that have written themselves.

They should be playing the videos of the dems speaking out against illegal immigration- Barbara Jordan’s is fantastic- Pelosi, SChumer, 0, both Clintons. OAN plays them from time to time.
Also, show the numbers/stats re illegal immigration as OAN does- cost per day/year.
The people have a right to know!

    That’s just a start.

Inviting millions upon millions of third-worlders with virtually no carbon footprints into first-world countries so that they can all have massive first-world sized carbon footprints, like the ones we’re being told to reduce. At the same time giving them and their litters of children free (in they’re case) access to first-world medical care so the global population can and will invariably explode when we’ve been told it’s already overcrowded and needs to be reduced.

It’s AOC’s party now

And she’ll cry [wolf] if she wants to?

Astroserf in reply to Milhouse. | September 5, 2019 at 11:23 pm

I was wondering what AOC would do after Chakrabarti (who wrote the Green New Deal) admitted it was really the economics of it that he cares about. AOC maybe realizes it’s easier to sell the Gorebull warming hoax as a way to destroy the economy than to try to sell destroying the economy as a method of saving the planet.
As long as anyone listens to her we are all at risk.

That’s what else needs to get out- that it’s all about wealth redistribution and control.
UN “climate officials” have admitted this, too:
‘So what is the goal of environmental policy?

“We redistribute de facto the world’s wealth by climate policy,” said Edenhofer’

      https://www.investors.com/politics/editorials/another-climate-alarmist-admits-real-motive-behind-warming-scare/

Christiana Figueres, executive secretary of U.N.’s Framework Convention on Climate Change, made a similar statement.

“This is the first time in the history of mankind that we are setting ourselves the task of intentionally, within a defined period of time, to change the economic development model that has been reigning for at least 150 years, since the Industrial Revolution,” she said in anticipation of last year’s Paris climate summit.

8 FACTS that #FakeNewsCNN will ignore in tonight’s “Climate Forum”

1. Which country has the largest carbon emission reduction?

AMERICA!

2. Who has dumped the most carbon into the air?

CHINA!

3. 91% of the world’s population are exposed to air pollution above the World Health Organization’s suggested level.

NONE ARE IN THE U.S.A.!

4. The U.S. now leads the world in energy production…

BUT…

5. Who’s got the world’s cleanest and safest air and water?

AMERICA!

6. The Democrats’ destructive “environmental” proposals will raise your energy bill and prices at the pump.

Don’t the Democrats care about fighting American poverty?

7. The badly flawed Paris Climate Agreement protects the polluters, hurts Americans, and cost a fortune. NOT ON MY WATCH!

8. I want crystal clean water and the cleanest and the purest air on the planet – we’ve now got that!

TOO FUNNY: “According to an article in People, Sanders likes to eat scrambled eggs for breakfast, and his favorite thing to eat on the campaign trail is pork chops. He also says that he’s “pretty good on the grill.””
“In a separate People article, his step-daughter says that Sanders sticks to a diet of mostly meat and vegetables, and “ was Paleo before Paleo was a thing.””

What Are Bernie Sanders’ Favorite Foods?

Sanders “was Paleo before Paleo was a thing.”

Bernie Sanders is at the helm of a major political movement, giving Hillary Clinton a run for her money on the road to the Democratic Presidential nomination. But while he’s made his political positions very clear, there’s one issue that’s just as pressing as any other:

What does The Bern like to eat?
According to an article in People, Sanders likes to eat scrambled eggs for breakfast, and his favorite thing to eat on the campaign trail is pork chops. He also says that he’s “pretty good on the grill.”

In a separate People article, his step-daughter says that Sanders sticks to a diet of mostly meat and vegetables, and “ was Paleo before Paleo was a thing.”

Because Sanders tends to steer non-politics related conversations towards more pressing issues, he hasn’t opened up too much about what he eats. Food doesn’t seem to be something that he thinks much about, which is perfectly fine in our book.

Bernie Sanders chops his own global warming firewood: “He also chops his own firewood and can be handy around the house – just not, as Jane puts it, “with a lot of attention to aesthetics.” He once tacked new screening onto a window frame without cutting away the excess, she recalls, “so we had a window with a tutu. And he said, ‘Well, it works!’ ””

Bernie Sanders Does His Own Laundry (and Grocery Shopping): Inside the Family Life of the Down-to-Earth Democratic Candidate

“How far we’ve come is really incredible,” Bernie Sanders tells PEOPLE

By Sandra Sobieraj Westfall and Tierney McAfee
January 20, 2016 05:50 AM

In the past year, everything and nothing has changed for Bernie Sanders.

The one-time Democratic dark horse has gradually become a top-tier contender for the presidential nomination, with recent polls in New Hampshire and Iowa showing him neck-and-neck with – or even leading – rival Hillary Clinton.

Yet in his heart and home the Vermont senator remains the same down-to-earth “Bernster” – as his son, Levi, lovingly refers to him – he’s always been. And that much was plain to see when PEOPLE stopped by to visit Sanders and his family at his modest colonial home in Burlington, Vermont, last month.

As Sanders’ wife, Jane, reviewed his laundry list of accomplishments for PEOPLE at the kitchen table, the senator let out a deep sigh. “He doesn’t like to talk about himself – or hear about himself,” Jane explains. But his ears perk up moments later when the buzzer of a dryer sounds from the basement.

“That’s my cue!” Sanders says, jumping up to tend to his laundry.

For much more of PEOPLE’S interview with Bernie Sanders and his family, pick up the new issue, on newsstands Friday

Not that he has much laundry. Jane jokes to PEOPLE of her minimalist husband, “If Bernie has seven sweaters, that’s three too many for him.”

Adds Heather Titus, one of Jane’s daughters from her first marriage, “If they still sold cars with manual locks and windows, that’s what Bernie would have.”

The 74-year-old Democratic socialist from Brooklyn leads a simple home life indeed. He does his own grocery shopping and grilling, sticking to a diet of mostly meat and vegetables. “He was Paleo before Paleo was a thing,” says Jane’s other daughter, Carina Driscoll.

He also chops his own firewood and can be handy around the house – just not, as Jane puts it, “with a lot of attention to aesthetics.” He once tacked new screening onto a window frame without cutting away the excess, she recalls, “so we had a window with a tutu. And he said, ‘Well, it works!’ ”

Sanders’ bellowing indignation – against income inequality, Wall Street greed and climate change – seems to be working as well, especially among millennials who swell the crowds at rallies drawing tens of thousands.

With voting set to begin in Iowa on Feb. 1, Sanders marvels to PEOPLE, “How far we’ve come is really incredible.”

early innings yes but this is sure starting to look like one hell of a set-up for some as yet unseen white knight/saviour of the democrat party/leftists

believe this is just the clown show before the main event

sincerely hope trump is preparing

Something that concerns me is the hundreds of millions of people who will believe and vote for these candidates.

Is it so obvious that the Dems/Progs are pandering and cannot be trusted with power.

This could be a close election. The dinosaur media will be all in to get the Dem/Prog elected. They will do anything, lie, cheat, steal to impress their will upon the country. It may happen and would be disastrous.

Comanche Voter | September 6, 2019 at 6:24 am

If you thought 7 hours of Democrat candidates on climate change was “can’t watch” TV, then 7 hours of Democrat candidates on LGBTQ issues is put a blindfold on and ear plugs in TV.

But they say when your opponent is digging a hole, don’t stop him (or her)–hand them a shovel.

Dems probably clearing the decks for the ultimate “Cankles” vs “The Wookie” grudge match.

As bad as it was for the candidates, think about the fact that those lunatic questioners really are voters.

    Matt_SE in reply to MTED. | September 6, 2019 at 9:04 am

In a nation of 320 million people, you can always find kooks. On top of that, CNN/DNC are known for astroturf audience members and plants.

The real head count won’t happen until election night.

CNN in general is tanking.

And to think all of this furor is about CO2, a minor greenhouse gas whose contribution to the climate remains uncertain (although quite likely nowhere near as much as the Democrats claim). (Water vapor accounts for over 90% of the greenhouse effect.) When will people come to the realization that CO2 is not a pollutant, but is instead plant food and without plants we cannot survive? When will people realize that the CO2 levels in the atmosphere of around 300 PPM that existed a hundred or so years ago was a concentration near the starvation point for many plants (they start dying at concentrations of around 200 ppm and find 1000 – 15000 optimal according to my ancient textbooks) and that the increased CO2 level of today is responsible for much of the green revolution that allows us to feed 7 billion people, has started greening the fringe areas around deserts, etc, while not making weather events more severe or common?
>
What you are watching in the Democratic Party is what happens when you politicize science. It has been done before (see Lysenkoism) and, when tried, it results in terrible outcomes.

should have mentioned that CO2 is a recycled gas, plants use it during photosynthesis to get carbon for building blocks and release O2 back into the atmosphere

If one is to believe N.O.O.A. data,a government agency, there has been no warming since 2005.
That goes against the Commiecrats agenda to take over the engery of the nation to place it in their CONTROL because that’s what it is about.

https://www.powerlineblog.com/archives/2019/08/no-u-s-warming-since-2005.php

It really doesn’t take much for a POC to remake themselves into an AOC

The likely Democrat primary voters are the moonbats. So, all of the candidates are running as moonbats. None of these moonbats can beat Trump in the general election, regardless of what the polls that are being touted say. But, only the party nominee gets to run in the general. So, they are playing to the moonbat Democrat base, at the moment.

Come the general, the Dem candidate will move to the middle. And, as the party has been gearing up to use widespread vote and voter fraud, post election lawfare, and expanding the potential Dem voting pool by automatically reinstating voting rights for felons, they expect to be able to counter and votes lost due to ads showing the candidate’s lies and moonbattery. And, the MSM will cover for them, of course.

The climate crisis is real, every and any action is justified including war. Energy production must be halted immediately world-wide. Any nation refusing to halt energy production must be destroyed with bombs. The fate of humanity hangs in the balance.

Three things are sure if these wackos get in
#1 We’ll be hungry
#2 We’ll be cold
#3 We’ll be broke

What about a seven hour climate change meeting didn’t cause Dems to double think this event? Everyone who’s important snoozed through that seven hour meeting! Good Lord!

You are counting your chickens before they hatch.
If my family is any gauge, we have four married brothers, all professionals.
The retired doctor, lawyer, working teacher, and their working wives are all planning to vote democrat, no matter who the candidate or what the platform.
And all their friends are planning to vote the same way.
Only the working doctor and my wife are voting Trump.
So my family will out vote me.
It seems crazy that they don’t care about the candidate or the party platform.
I hate to say it, but if DJT moves against gun rights, I will not vote for him either.
