Democratic Socialists of America will not endorse a presidential candidate if Bernie doesn’t get Dem nomination
This may actually be a good thing for Democrats.
The Democratic Socialists of America provide considerable energy for Democrat candidates. The label Democratic Socialist is embraced by Bernie Sanders and Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, among others.
The DSA just held its annual conference, and it was pretty much what you would expect when 1000 socialists got together — it devolved at times into self-parody.

On a more substantive point, Resolution 15 provided that “DSA will not endorse another Democratic candidate if Bernie does not prevail.”

The concerns expressed were, my paraphrase, that DSA not sell out its principles which only Bernie could satisfy, and on the other hand, isn’t it better to unite against Trump regardless.
The Resolution was passed, so DSA will not endorse the Democrat nominee if it’s not Bernie.

At a superficial level, this could mean diminished enthusiasm from an important part of the anti-Trump coalition. In tight states, even a relatively small number of people staying home or not campaigning for a Democrat could be significant.
But beyond that superficial level, the “Socialist” label is going to be pinned on any Democrat who is likely to get the nomination, though it will be a tough sell for Biden. Republicans believe, and there is support for it, that the Socialist label is political death among all groups except liberal millennials.
By not endorsing Biden, or Warren, or Harris, or whomever, the DSA has done Democrats a favor. They may have Republicans calling them Socialists, but they won’t have the Democratic Socialists of America endorsement featured around the clock in attack ads.

Had to think it through whether to engage since you are clearly making decisions about what I believe based on no data. But here goes, I have degrees in Marketing. I can take two data points and with the right text accompanying I can make them say almost anything to the right reader. Confirmation bias takes care of almost any flaws. This is WHY I do not trust any poll. OR any two data points and make any ASSUMPTIONS about them. I know how easy it is to make a poll read to any target bias group. This is also the reason my child goes to a religious school that teaches classically so that they have the ability to deconstruct arguments, recognize emotion based reactions to events, and look at the past and the future and make judgement based on the principles and ethics, grounded in their religion, that they have been taught.

Biden isn’t going to be the nomination, more hit pieces will keep coming out against him, and he will keep stepping into gaffe after gaffe. Biden is not a smart man. He is old, white and therefore racist and filled with toxic masculinity, which is against the National Socialist Party. Bernie past his sell date, and he has more energy and mental agility than Biden has.

The video of that meeting is unbelievable buffoonery, but it should scare the crap of all of us. This could very well have been a Red Guard or Khmer Rouge meeting, after which genocide began.
The thoughts may be the same, but the ability to act on them is another matter. These cretins aren’t exactly a force of terror. They get worked up over people applauding and using common words.
