Legal Insurrection Foundation — Launch Fundraiser

Legal Insurrection Foundation — Launch Fundraiser

It’s time.

It’s time. We had a “soft open” on March 1, 2019, and since then have worked to put all the pieces in place at the Legal Insurrection Foundation, the research, investigative and education 501(c)(3).

You can donate here. All donations are tax deductible to the full extent allowed by law.

You can read about how the Foundation came to be and our mission, Introducing the Legal Insurrection Foundation:

The goal of the Foundation is to take our research, investigative, and educational efforts to a new and more meaningful level. A major, but not exclusive, focus will be on the intersectional left, the crossover of anti-capitalism and anti-Zionism, which are inextricably linked in their minds and which are the driving forces behind current attacks on individual liberty, economic freedom, and freedom of speech. It’s an area that I have focused on for years, long before most others, perhaps because it started on campuses.

We’ve already started to take our efforts to a new level with the coverage of the Gibson’s Bakery v. Oberlin College trial, where issues of campus social justice warfare and identity politics are front and center. Other than a local newspaper, we are the only news outlet with a reporter in the courtroom, and we will be there reporting daily for the estimated month-long trial.

We’re also very close to hiring our research and investigative team. By the end of this month that should be in place.

We can’t do it without you. These efforts require resources. Reader donations are critical to our success.

You can donate by credit card or PayPal at our donation page, or by check payable to “Legal Insurrection Foundation” mailed to 18 Maple Ave #280, Barrington, RI 02806.

Been reading you from Post #1.

Not sure how I found my way here, but I chipped in since I have enjoyed the ride.

One suggestion: In the future post these occasional reminders on days when the market is up big time. I was sitting pretty on a strategy due to pay off nicely come May options expiration … and then today … uggh. Thankfully, the market recovered pretty much and I’m back in the game, but not as beautifully poised as I was before today.

I look forward to the future fruits of LIF. Right-of-center blogs have now been around for some time and they need to proceed to higher, original reporting and original content producing levels. I hope you produce some videos … PragerU is great the way they combine video with the written and spoken word. I wish they’d go beyond animated videos (while continuing to make their wonderful animated videos.) If all the trusted conservative blogs take the next step, whatever that may be, the next generation of conservative bloggers will then be able to stake their claims on the web as strictly bloggers and try to establish themselves as trusted voices until it’s their time to move forward.

I hope this is the beginning of a media empire which returns news media to its rightful place of informing citizens of newsworthy events in the world in the most objective and honest way possible at the time. Sometimes the truth is beautiful and sometimes it’s ugly. But we need the truth. Only then can we attempt to address and possibly overcome ugly realities.

Glad to contribute.

Not much, but, my pleasure.

I’ve been reading since Scott Brown ran for senate.
Money goes in the LI tip jar for the regular site and now for the foundation,
This is my go-to site three or four times a day. There is so much I have learned over the years from the professor, et al, and the commenters. I’m very grateful for that,

Just donated.

Thank you for the forum!

Never donated to any site ever under any circumstances. This is the first time. I try to read LI several times a day because I do not read daily newspapers or other alleged straight news sites any more because in the grand scheme of things they are horrible. If through LI I want to click on a link to the source, I’ll click it. Otherwise, they can all go to hell. I read other places besides LI, but I put the LI favicon in the DO NOT MISS THIS CRAP! section of my bookmarks bar.

I like all the contributors here. But I want to say to Prof. Jacobson: I respect your opinion highly. You are one of the most well-reasoned, articulate thinkers out there. When you do put out a post, I think: OK, Prof. is a busy man but this is obviously important to him for a reason, therefore I will pay attention. What you say carries weight.

Thank you for this site. Thank you for letting us comment here.

Just donated. Fantastic cause and thanks for all you do and plan to do. It inspires me to do more. You’re at the top of my daily read bookmarks. Hey, I once cooked you breakfast when a mutual friend dragged you over, great to meet you and yours.

In memory of your friends, John and Patricia …

I have been coming here since Andrew Branca’s thorough coverage of the Travon Martin trial.

You have gathered great contributors and it is time for me to pay at least a little back. Sorry it isn’t as much as the site is worth.

Your site would get a lot more traffic if the comments showed the most recent one first.

This afternoon the local chapter of the Ayn Rand International Fan Club sent an envelope containing a small leaf of tender good for all debts private and public to the address noted. Not much, but we do what we can.

God Speed my friends.
