New Democrat Congresswoman Curses Out Trump: ‘We’re Going to Impeach the Motherf***er!’
Rashida Tlaib, the first Palestinian-American congresswoman, who brought Linda Sarsour to her swearing in, flamboyantly joins Democrat chorus calling for impeachment on her first day in office.
New Rep. Rashida Tlaib (D-MI) started her term with a bang as she cursed out President Donald Trump in a speech to supporters. From Fox News:
Speaking to a crowd of supporters Thursday night, the Michigan Democrat and one of the first Muslim women elected to Congress said of Trump: “People love you and you win. And when your son looks at you and says, ‘Momma, look you won. Bullies don’t win.’ And I said, ‘Baby, they don’t, because we’re gonna go in there and we’re gonna impeach the mother***er.’”

She also penned an op-ed in the Detroit Free Press to impeach Trump:
“President Donald Trump is a direct and serious threat to our country. On an almost daily basis, he attacks our Constitution, our democracy, the rule of law and the people who are in this country,” Tlaib wrote. “Each passing day brings more pain for the people most directly hurt by this president, and these are days we simply cannot get back. The time for impeachment proceedings is now.”
I swear if I took a shot every single time someone went into hyperbole overdrive I’d be in the hospital with alcohol poisoning.
It is hard to impeach a president and you cannot do it simply because of hurt feelings:
To remove a sitting president, the constitution requires conviction of “treason, bribery, or other high crimes and misdemeanors.” The impeachment process would further require the consent of both the House and two-thirds of the Senate, which is still a Republican majority.
Not to mention the fact that Tlaib had anti-Semitic racist Linda Sarsour with her at her swearing-in. You know, the woman who loves Louis Farrakhan and terrorist Rasmea Odeh.

Talib can do this because she walked into Congress without having to do anything. It’s one of those districts where the Dems are virtually unopposed. It’s also a district where Trump’s policies have done what Obama, Reid, Polosi and the entire Dem/Leftist Party couldn’t (or didn’t want to) do. Brought jobs and a brighter future to the residents. If she thinks that her time in Congress is best spent by trying to impeach the best thing that ever happened to her constituents, then the voters should re-think their choice. Unfortunately, she has the job for life regardless of what she says or does.

No, she never actually lived with her brother. The marriage, which lasted eight years, was on paper only, though it’s not clear what its purpose might be. (Some people guessed it might somehow be connected to green card fraud, but that’s apparently not correct. Which of course simply means there was some other kind of scam going on, because an innocent explanation seems to be beyond anyone’s reach.) The whole time she was legally married to her brother she was living with and actually married, before God and society but not the law, to the man who is the father of her children and whom she finally married legally after she divorced her brother.

This is exhibit one hundred twenty million and one as to why we need to end birth right citizenship and require four generations before we allow voting or holding public office.
What this really is about is Trump’s support of Israel….and an indication of where the Democratic party is heading by its policy of divide and entitle. Clearly, now Rashida Tlaib must recuse herself of any votes directly affecting Donald Trump.
While 1) I am amazed that Pelosi is defending this woman for her rant under the basis of “the President has said things just as bad”, 2) she’s a shiny bauble. You should bring up the continuing resolution to reopen most closed parts of the government that includes $12 billion more in foreign aid, including, I am told, $2.9 billion to the West Bank and Gaza, Pakistan, and even more unbelievably, Syria. (Pelosi has done face to face talks with Assad in the past, of course.)
Sure, the Senate isn’t scheduled to pass it and Trump isn’t planning to sign it, but calling him an ‘mf’ is not nearly as important as shoveling American taxpayer money to the Palestinian Authority and into Syria and Pakistan. I’m going by what I heard, so it bears some verification, but still, it’s not what this lady says, it’s what Pelosi does.
It just may be that her trashy red liberal ass is gone before Trump is.
Here is what I think will happen:
1. The Democrat-controlled House will vote in favor of impeaching Trump on ….. whatever. All Democrats will vote for impeachment (they fear the genocidal Democrat Party activists more than they fear their own voters). At least a half-dozen Vichy Republicans will also vote for impeachment.
2. Even given the fact that at least 4 GOP Senators will vote in favor of removing Trump (hullo, Senators Sasse, Murkowski, McSally, and Mitt Romneycare!), Democrats will still fall a few votes short.
3. After the House votes for impeachment Democrats will go Federal judge-shopping until they find one (in Hawaii, perhaps) who will arbitrarily rule that Trump must step down until after the Senate holds a trial. Since the Federal judiciary is an open sewer it will be easy. The goal here is to get the public to accept the incorrect notion that impeachment is identical to removal, and that Trump has seized power after being lawfully removed from office.
Crazy? Paranoid? Irrational? Impossible? Not really, given the events of the last few years.
Sadly your scenario is an all too real a possibility in these highly politicized and lawless times we live in. I have no doubt Mueller will do everything in his power to support an obstruction of justice finding from his “investigation,” even though a President is empowered to fire a FBI director at any time, with or without cause. And NY state will be working overtime to try to find ways to selectively prosecute anyone in the Trump family and their close associates.
Perhaps not actually making him step down, but I fully expect them to claim that he can’t nominate any judges and especially a SCOTUS Justice replacement, should there be an opening.
Question for those here on LI, does impeachment in any way limit a Presidents responsibilities between Impeachment and acquittal/removal by the Senate?
