“My Pillow” Guy: We’re NOT pulling our ads from Laura Ingraham

As reported yesterday, Fox News is standing with Laura Ingraham as she becomes the latest target of a decades-old campaign by Media Matters and others to deplatform conservative media figures and to destroy Fox News:

“We cannot and will not allow voices to be censored by agenda-driven intimidation efforts. We look forward to having Laura Ingraham back hosting her program next Monday when she returns from spring vacation with her children.”

In this latest iteration, Parkland student David Hogg plays the role against Ingraham that Sandra Fluke played in the Media Matters-organized campaign targeting Rush Limbaugh advertisers. As I wrote in my prior post, If Fox News cancels Laura Ingraham, it might as well close the network:

It’s not about Laura Ingraham or David Hogg — it’s about an unhinged and emboldened totalitarian movement that seeks to deplatform conservatives. Their primary target for a decade has been Fox News, which is the one non-liberal network in a sea of liberal major media.Sacrificing Laura Ingraham won’t satiate the beast. If Fox News cancels Laura Ingraham over this faux outrage about her tweet, then Fox News might as well close the network.

Over one dozen advertisers have announced they will not advertise on Ingraham’s show. I don’t know if this list is complete. but CBS News reports that these companies have joined the Ingraham Boycott:

Bayer
Miracle-Ear
Liberty Mutual Insurance
Ruby Tuesday
Atlantis, Paradise Island
Jenny Craig
Nutrish
Hulu
TripAdvisor
Wayfair
Stitch Fix
Expedia
Nestlé
Johnson & Johnson
Office Depot

There is one company, however, that just announced it is NOT pulling ads from Ingraham and has no intention of doing so in the future, the seemingly ubiquitous advertiser My Pillow:

On Twitter both the founder Mike Lindell and the company tweeted out that they would not stop advertising on Ingraham’s show or on Fox News:

“We did not take down our advertising … Nor do we intend to”

I’m sure there will be social media pushback, particularly since #TheResistance already hates Lindell because he’s a Trump supporter.

But I’m also seeing a lot of people tweet that they will purchase My Pillow because of the refusal to capitulate to the Ingraham boycott.

I’m going to order.
