After cruising (yes, I am that cheesy) to an easy primary victory, Sen. Cruz released his first campaign ad targeting newly selected Democrat opponent Rep. Robert (goes by Beto these days) O’Rourke.
Riffing off Alabama’s “If you’re gonna play in Texas”, Cruz’s rendition goes, “If you’re gonna run in Texas, you can’t be a liberal man.”
Cheesy, but cute.
Cruz received more votes in the Republican primary vote than all Democrat candidates combined.
