“the regulation was repealed last March, this rule violated not just the Second Amendment but the Fourth”

Remember when late night hosts did comedy? Jimmy Kimmel doesn’t. He has made it his mission to use his platform to bash Trump and Republicans whenever the opportunity presents itself. The shooting in Parkland, Florida was horrific, no one disputes that. No one expects Kimmel to make jokes about it either.

Additionally, no one wants to hear his preachy lecturing about gun control. Especially when he doesn’t have the facts. He even trotted out the old “mentally ill” line to attack Trump.

Kristine Marsh reports at NewsBusters:

Jimmy Kimmel Blames Trump, GOP After School Shooting: ‘You’re Obviously Mentally Ill’

Comedian turned left-wing activist Jimmy Kimmel had his barbs ready for Trump and the GOP on his Thursday evening show, after the horrific school shooting on February 14. As he has done previously on healthcare and guns, Kimmel went on a highly partisan, fake-news-filled rant blaming them for not “acting” when these tragedies occur, even slamming Trump as “mentally ill” for not giving in to the left’s demands for gun control.

“Tell your buddies in Congress, tell Paul Ryan and Mitch McConnell and Marco Rubio, all the ‘family men’ who care so much about their communities, that what we need are laws, real laws, that do everything possible to keep assault rifles out of the hands of people who are going to shoot our kids. Go on TV and tell them to do that,” he slammed.

Getting emotional, Kimmel choked up. “Children are being murdered,” he said as an audience member shouted in reference to Trump, “Do something now!” The talk show host agreed. “Do something! We still haven’t even talked about it, you still haven’t done anything about it. You’ve literally done nothing!” he scolded.

Kimmel also used a false talking point that liberals have been parroting in the days since the shooting (emphasis is theirs):

Kimmel then repeated a lie that the media has regurgitated several times over the past 48 hours, that Trump supposedly made it easier for the mentally ill to access guns legally. This is simply not true, but the left-wing talking head continued his misleading rant: “Actually you’ve done worse than nothing: You like to say this is a mental health issue, but one of your very first actions as president Mr. Trump, was to roll back the regulations that were designed to keep firearms out of the hands of the mentally ill. You did that.”

Watch the video below:

Scott Shackford of Reason debunked the line about the mentally ill and guns:

No, Trump Did Not Make It Easier for Mentally Ill People to Buy Guns

In the wake of yesterday’s deadly school shooting in Florida, President Donald Trump tweeted that there were signs that alleged shooter Nikolas Cruz was “mentally disturbed.” Trump encouraged people to report bad behavior to authorities.

In response, a Twitter and media parade of people spouted misleading claims about an Obama-era regulation that Trump and Congress rolled back:

Shackford continues:

None of this is a remotely accurate description of what happened. A year ago, Congress and Trump eliminated a proposed rule that would have included in the federal government gun background database people who received disability payments from Social Security and received assistance to manage their benefits due to mental impairments.

This is a regulation that potentially deprived between 75,000 to 80,000 people of a right based not on what they had done but on the basis of being classified by the government in a certain way. The fact that these people may have these impairments did not inherently mean that they were dangerous to themselves or others and needed to be kept away from guns.

As I noted when the regulation was repealed last March, this rule violated not just the Second Amendment but the Fourth, because it deprived the affected people of a right without due process.

Don’t expect Kimmel to issue any sort of correction or get called out by the media for using this flawed argument. Liberals have already convinced thousands of people that it’s true.

While it’s not true that Trump made it easier for the mentally ill to access guns legally, it is true but the First Amendment made it easier for the mentally ill to go on late-night TV.

I have seen this a lot on social media (FB, Twitter) of late. Glad to see this debunked – not that it will stop the lie from traveling around the world a few MORE times……

These times we live in………….

Comedy is not pretty…especially when Chuch Schumer is the writer.

I encounter enough a-holes driving to and from work. Why stay up to midnight to see another one?

Liberals are accusing conservatives of encouraging gun violence. As usual, liberals are themselves guilty of what which they’re accusing others.

Ask yourself, “Whose agenda benefits from a mass shooting?” The answer is easy, “The liberals’ agenda benefits.”

Who is responsible for the existence of “gun free zones”? Again, liberals defend the gun free zones after every mass shooting that occurs in one (i.e., nearly all mass shootings). In particular, they’re against arming anyone in schools to defend the students and staff from homicidal attacks with firearms.

Conclusion: liberals maintain the existence of “gun free zones” in order to encourage mass shootings by providing spaces for killers to operate in relative safety, so the shootings can be used to promote their anti-gun agenda.

Who encourages gun violence and mass shootings? It’s not the NRA.

CNN has the straight poop—

Russian bots promote pro-gun messages after Florida school shooting – Russia-linked bots are promoting pro-gun messages on Twitter in an attempt to sow discord in the aftermath of the Florida school shooting, monitoring groups say.

Maybe Kimmel is colluding with Russian bots. Which is almost as bad as colluding with The Russians.

We’re going to see a lot of this in the future. Russian “bots” will be behind every attempt to combat Leftist stupidity and hysteria.

More interesting food for thought. (I’m sure Kimmel counts himself among the Leftist Elitists….)

    “The Revolt Against The Masses”

” Three hundred people who work for Google were part of the Obama administration at one time or another…..

“….elite comes together, it looks across the Atlantic, it looks across the Pacific, but it doesn’t look at the heartland. The rest of the country recognises that.”

“the liberal elite today see themselves self-consciously as the ruling class…..”

“Something happens in the 1990s. The elites of Washington, New York, Boston, Chicago, San Francisco and Los Angeles meld together. Hollywood, Silicon Valley, Washington and Wall Street all come together, and for the first time you have something like the British establishment. The British establishment could organise itself more easily because it was centred on London. For decades the American elite was divided among different coastal cities, plus the ‘third coast’ of Chicago, and it wasn’t until space collapses due to technology that you have the creation of this unified American elite.

“That unified elite is overwhelmingly liberal.”

“’Tell your buddies in Congress, tell Paul Ryan and Mitch McConnell and Marco Rubio, all the ‘family men’ who care so much about their communities, that what we need are laws, real laws, that do everything possible to keep assault rifles out of the hands of people who are going to shoot our kids. Go on TV and tell them to do that,’ he slammed.”

Kimmel is a blithering idiot. Celebrities like him love talking about how Australia banned guns after the 1996 Port Arthur mass shooting.

That worked out so well they had to have a gun amnesty in 2017.

http://www.abc.net.au/news/2017-06-16/government-establishes-national-gun-amnesty/8622468

I especially enjoyed how the picture accompanying the article shows a couple of Colt Navy revolvers. If genuine, you couldn’t touch if for less than ten grand. If a replica, it’s still not the gun for a crime spree.

But more to the point, you can pass all the laws you want. And people won’t obey them, especially when you’re blaming everyone else except the murderer.

Not that I am advocating law breaking. I’m just pointing out a simple fact. Europe is awash in gun laws. It’s also awash in guns. WWI, WWII, and the Bosnian Civil War ring any bells? As far as the rest of the world is concerned, it’s just a matter of knowing the right commercial fisherman. Years ago the Yakuza used to bribe American Sailors to smuggle ammo into Japan from the Philippines (no, not me, I used to combat the trade). One round of .45 ACP used to go for $100. Then illegal manufacturers started producing knock-off Tokarevs.

How did this guy go from “The Man Show” to an authority on health insurance and gun policy?

Somebody noticed he doesn’t actually have testicles.

      That too.

But more than anything, he just wants to feel important, assuaging his narcissistic belief he is part of an elite intelligencia in this country, who childishly refuse to take their heads out of their asses and face their fake image of themselves.

Kimmel is definitely part of that.

Claiming that the ACLU and Jimmy Carter are responsible would hold more water….

First of all; “Alleged” comedians, Second; the networks need to add a tachometer in one of the screen corners. These fools/tools spin so badly, they need a red line not to exceed.

Two cannibals are eating a late night Trump era comedian.
One asks “Does this taste funny to you”?
“No” says the other.
“Me either”.

Mark Steyn discussed societies too stupid to live. Jefferson noted that nations cannot remain both free and ignorant. Problem is the easiest path is to be both ignorant and stupid.

I pay his words the careful attention I would to any man that promotes girls grabbing each other while bouncing on trampolines for men’s pleasure.
