VIDEO confirms Ahed Tamimi attacked Israeli soldiers at her mother’s direction

Ahed Tamimi, who turns 17 this week, is charged with hitting and kicking Israeli soldiers, captured on a Facebook live stream by Ahed’s mother, Nariman, who also is charged. Ahed also faces charges for unrelated prior rock throwing and for a broadcast statement supporting suicide bombings, knife and other attacks.

Ahed will appear again before a judge this week for presentation of evidence against her.

Ahed and other Tamimi children have been exploited for almost a decade by their parents Bassem and Nariman, and their western supporters. The tactic is to send the children out to confront soldiers, with the cameras rolling. It is a dangerous exploitation of children, but a great propaganda tactic: If the soldiers react, it’s used as proof of Israeli brutality; if the soldiers don’t react, it used as proof of Israeli weakness in the face of brave Palestinian children.

We have covered the Tamimi method of exploiting children extensively, with video and photo proof. Please see these posts:

Ahed, above all the other children, has been used this way because her blond hair and blue eyes present the image he wants to present to Westerners, according to Bassem:

Tamimi’s father argues that her blonde hair and Western dress have contributed to the attention she has received.“If she was veiled and dark-skinned, would she have got the same attention?” Bassem Tamimi told AFP.“The Zionist propaganda machine always depicts the Palestinian as dark-skinned and ugly, attacking the blonde victim, but now she is blonde.”

Ahed has been trained how to scream and cry on cue.

So when the latest Ahed video emerged, it was clear to us that this was not a spontaneous event, but another planned Tamimi photo op, Child-exploiting Tamimi Clan back in the news with latest “Shirley Temper” video provocation.

After all, Ahed’s mother was broadcasting the event live on Facebook.

Yet since the arrest, a narrative has emerged among Ahed’s supporters that claims it was a spontaneous event sparked by her cousin getting shot with a rubber bullet just shortly before Ahed’s attack. There is evidence that a young male member of the Tamimi clan was hit with a rubber bullet during riots, but not evidence of the timing in relation to Ahed’s attack.

Significantly, soon after the arrest Ahed’s father, Bassem, denied that the attack was a reaction to the shooting. In an Op-ed published at Haaretz on December 29, 2017, Bassem wrote:

… it wasn’t sudden anger at the grave wounding of 15-year-old Mohammed Tamimi not long before that, just meters away, that motivated her. Nor was it the provocation of those soldiers entering our home. No. These soldiers, or others who are identical in their action and their role, have been unwanted and uninvited guests in our home ever since Ahed was born. No. She stood there before them because this is our way, because freedom isn’t given as charity, and because despite the heavy price, we are ready to pay it.

Despite Bassem explicitly contradicting the narrative of a spontaneous reaction, that continues to be the dominant theme in pro-Ahed activism.

But now there is even more evidence the attack wasn’t spontaneous. Dave at IsraellyCool wrote about a part of the Facebook live broadcast that had not received previous attention:

…. a very observant Israellycool reader noticed Nariman speaking softly right before Ahed and Nour went and starting attacking the soldiers. It has been confirmed by two Arabic speakers that she was saying “utrodo” (“اطرد”), which means kick them out/expel them.In other words, Nariman deliberately told her young daughter Ahed and cousin Nour to go down there and start trouble with the soldiers, in order to kick them off the property.Filming her young daughter attacking soldiers is bad enough; but actually instructing her to do so is even worse child abuse.

I checked the original Facebook live broadcast, which I had downloaded, and this segment is in the video just before the attack. The girls appear to be next to the camera operated by Ahed’s mother, she tells them something, then they head toward the soldiers, who were on the edge of the street.

I had our own Arabic translator confirm the translation provided by Israellycool. Here’s what he told us:

Yes, Nariman indeed says “utrudo”, which means exactly that: “Kick them out”, “chase them away”, “evict them”. Note: although it is in the singular (“kick him out”), in colloquial it doesn’t really matter, it can refer to more than one person.

So this whole incident is just another example of child exploitation from the Tamimi Clan. It is the same sort of dangerous Pallywood game the Tamimis have been playing for over a decade, except this time it has consequences.
