There’s a Committee to Draft Oprah for the 2020 Election

There’s a Committee to Draft Oprah for the 2020 Election

It begins, maybe

A week ago, Oprah accepted the Cecil B. DeMille Award at the Golden Globes award show. Her acceptance speech had Democrats riled up, desperately hoping the former talk show host would try her luck in the 2020 arena.

During her speech, Oprah pushed objective truth fallacies, and despite her long-standing relationship with serial sexual predator, Harvey Weinstein, waxed poetic about the end of the #MeToo movement.

Nonetheless, there’s now a committee to draft Oprah into the 2020 race.

It is fitting that we announce the formation of the National Committee to Draft Oprah Winfrey for President of the United States 2020 today, Martin Luther King Jr.’s birthday.

The Committee is seeking to recruit 1,000,000 founding members to support its efforts to draft Ms. Winfrey to officially run for the office of President in 2020.

Ms. Winfrey’s entrance into the race at any future time is sure to coalesce millions of voters looking for genuine leadership as befits the stature of the office and our nation’s creed.

“I believe in the United States of America as a government of the people, by the people, for the people; whose just powers are derived from the consent of the governed, a democracy in a republic, a sovereign Nation of many sovereign States; a perfect union, one and inseparable; established upon those principles of freedom, equality, justice, and humanity for which American patriots sacrificed their lives and fortunes.

I therefore believe it is my duty to my country to love it, to support its Constitution, to obey its laws, to respect its flag, and to defend it against all enemies.”

–Written 1917, accepted by the United States House of Representatives on April 3, 1918.

It’s still too soon to tell whether the committee is a genuine draft effort or just another opportunistic bilking operation (more likely).

she’ll have a better chance in 2024…

it’s going to be damn hard for anyone to beat Trump in 2020, except Trump himself.

It would be entertaining.

Oprah, schmoprah. Run. Whatever. There’ll be tabloid crap about O and Gayle and whether Steadman is more than just the butler, plus her weird cult beliefs, etc, but what I really want to know is how to decifer this in a post about Oprah: “–Written 1917, accepted by the United States House of Representatives on April 3, 1918.”

Fess up, Kemberlee.

Run Oprah Run, but you can’t run away from your past Oprah!

Oprah = Hillary Clinton’s Chicago sista!

(Remember Hillary is Chicago born and raised!)

So, the Dems are falling for another “pretty” face who gives a nice talk. That worked so well last time.

I think the whole operation revolves around that “DONATE” button. I vote for “opportunistic bilking operation”.

Her buddy, Harvey Weinstein, will be in charge of…ah…”interviewing” young women for her campaign staff.

IIRC, Oprah has already spoken through an intermediary, denying that she has any plans to run in 2020. She knows what she’s done, and who she’s hung around with. She can see what the public square looks like these days, and knows how candidates who enter it are treated.

She’s far too thin-skinned to weather that assault, and she knows that too.

Stedman ????
he white – black – mixed ???
never heard of him –
if she runs, does he get referred to as the housemate ??

Because 8 years of that treasonous weasel obama worked out so well.
(His beard-beast wife was the cherry on top.) Remember: oprah was instrumental in getting the treasonous weasel support to be elected.

Oprah will get elected president like bradley manning will get elected senator – if he’s alive to long enough to show up to campaign.

That’s just great … lets just get some touchy feely celebrity candidate … who has no direct experience in politics, world affairs or with any issue … and as such has opinions that are no more valid than those of the average person.

Her net worth is approximately the same as Turnip’s … is anyone gonna make a big deal about it as they have with Turnip’s?

Is her Chief of Staff, chief advisor or whatever going to be her friend Gayle King … someone she seems to be able to do nothing without?

Hell no on Oprah … we need non idealistic, realistic thinking, experienced, issue driven candidates that can work with both sides of congress and can follow the law and Constitution. The one thing we don’t need is a celebrity of any sort.

It seems too early to expend energy into the shredding of Oprah. If and it is a big if, Oprah decides to run she will be tarred with her past and so will anyone that stands near her.

Do we all get a FREE CAR?

Maybe the Dems are looking to sell the DNC for 2020 rather than renting it to Hillary again. Find a rich sucker to run so you can slack on fundraising and real campaigning. Oprah can certainly afford it, but she’s not exactly known for making bad investments. She’s been totally in charge of her world for so long now, I just can’t see her having much tolerance for the radical fringe nuts that Obama invited to power within the party. That’s a lot of aggravation even for a benevolent dictator.

Oprah became famous for giving away free stuff on TV. Trump became famous for making people work a job on TV. Therein lies the actual difference between Democrats and Republicans.
