Drexel University Prof Blames Las Vegas Shooting on ‘Trumpism’ and White Men

Now the professor has graced us with his hot take on the causes of the Las Vegas shooting.His theories are unlikely to surprise you.

Professor blames Las Vegas massacre on ‘Trumpism,’ ‘narrative of white victimization’
Extreme “Trumpism” and “white victimization” motivated the Las Vegas shooter who killed 59 and injured at least 515 others, according to a Drexel University professor.
Associate Professor George Ciccariello-Maher tweeted just hours after the massacre “white people and men” will go on shooting sprees “when they don’t get what they want.”
Stephen Paddock used a perch inside the Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino to rain down fire on a crowd at a country music concert Sunday night.
Drexel University told Fox News the professor’s tweets don’t represent the university’s views.
“The recent social media comments by George Ciccariello-Maher, associate professor of Politics and Global Studies at Drexel University, are his own opinion and do not represent the University’s views,” the university said in a statement. “Drexel is deeply saddened by the tragic shooting in Las Vegas. The thoughts and prayers of the Drexel community are with the families of those affected by this senseless act of violence.”

How does his “theory” explain Charles Whitman’s atrocity, which happened 50 years ago? Or how ’bout the Bath School outrage that occurred 90 years ago.

Funny white dude (aka Mr. Butt-Crack) wants to see white genocide here in America. Typical over-educated but under-motivated intellectual. Genocide can begin at home, he just needs to work up the courage before jumping.
It seems if you’re going to point to evidence of race-based genocide you’d need more than one shooter, something more like an entire, legally ignored pattern of long term violence, centered on race, with thousands of victims over time.

Even taken on its own wacky terms, this resembles no known form of logic. Is this guy a closet feminist?
Well, he wanted a white genocide. He should be happy looking at the published faces of the victims, a large majority of whom were white.
He’s right about one thing. It’s not the guns, or useless gun control proposals. It’s the shooters and their motivations. Most gun deaths in this country are suicides. Next, gang murders. Next, domestic violence. It’s worth trying to find out why this monster did what he did, especially if it was ideologically-driven, not just psychopathy.
It’s not hard to figure out how journalism and our public discourse has devolved into opinions with minimal analysis or facts. And the facts that are available are often twisted or ignored as a way to mold what is real into a specific meme.
Just look at how the academe is fast becoming a place where “good work” outside of math and science simply requires phrasing and wording accepted opinions in a “professional” way. Most all social “science” effort has become an exercise in grammar and language construct. Not critical thought.
The result: From media to academia we have a burgeoning class of paid activists no longer true to past standards.

What is of interest is that any institute of higher learning would continue to employ a person who displays evidence of potentially dangerous mental health issues.

And the 21 Century seems flooded with insanity. The Germans and Swedes seemingly have embraced the ‘ethnic cleansing’ of themselves from their prospective countries. On a stretch here, with tongue firmly planted in cheek – maybe his call for genocide is what caused the tragedy? I am waiting on further information concerning Vegas, but will say that had the alleged perpetrator had the same lifestyle but was poor and did not own property, he would be described as transient, with mental problems and a dreg of society. Since he had money and property, he fits the media rhetoric.
I find the so-called professor’s comments on white privilege to be nauseating. I grew up poor and in a group home in the UK, later coming to the US after gaining a doctorate in science and engineering. I work hard, keep a house and family. I have throughout my encounters not observed this so-called entitlement, except for those who feel entitled to my money, some youngsters, and liberal faculty/workers who feel entitled to share in and/or take credit for my work.
Never hire anyone from Drexel who can’t show they actively fought against the leftism.
