Ginsburg Sends Letter to Girl Who Chose Her for Superhero Day

It may start a new trend.

Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg sent a letter to a little girl who chose the judge as her superhero.

The Huffington Post reported:

The note from Ginsburg, which arrived last night, read, “Dear Michele: You look just like me! May you continue to thrive on reading and learning. Every good wish, Ruth Bader Ginsburg.”

Excited to show her teacher, Michele took the letter to school with her Friday, where her math teacher took time out of class to read the letter and teach a lesson about the Supreme Court.

Michele may have even inspired a new trend ― now several of her classmates want to be “real” superheroes next year, including Bill Gates and Hillary Clinton.

Despite being a little overwhelmed by all the attention, Mom says, “I would really [like] to thank Justice Ginsburg for being such an inspiration to all of us, and for being so committed to fighting for equality. This wouldn’t have gone where it has if she weren’t such an admirable person. I also want to thank her for taking the time to make a little girl really, really happy.”

And what’s a math teacher going to teach about the Supreme Court? That nine minus one equals gridlock?

Kudo’s to Ginsburg for sending the note it is how a public servant should act. and the little girl is cute as a button.

I’m trying to decide what annoys me more – that everyone involved seems not to understand the definition of “superhero” or that the school had a “superhero” day in the first place.

Plus this will stop dead in its tracks the first time a kid shows up dressed like Reagan.
