Mizzou “Muscle” Prof Melissa Click Lands Job at Gonzaga University
One-year, non-tenure track position as a lecturer
Having made a complete laughingstock of herself with her demands for “muscle” to help her remove student journalists filming her on campus, open air BLM protest rally, the world’s most famous red-headed professor, Melissa Click, has landed a job at Gonzaga University.
A former University of Missouri professor who was fired after video surfaced of her yelling at a student during a protest has a new job at Gonzaga University.
Gonzaga hired former MU professor Melissa Click for a one-year, non-tenure track position as a lecturer in Gonzaga’s undergraduate Communication Studies Department.
The Dean of the College of Arts and Sciences at Gonzaga University explained the decision to hire Click.

Elisabeth Mermann-Jozwiak, dean of the College of Arts and Sciences at Gonzaga, said in a written statement that Gonzaga officials knew of Click’s recent history and were confident in welcoming her to the university. Click was hired for a one-year, non-tenure track position as a lecturer in the university’s communication studies department.
“Dr. Click was hired through an extensive national search process that revealed her to be the most qualified and experienced candidate for the position,” the statement read in part. “Dr. Click has excellent recommendations for both her teaching and scholarship, which includes an extensive record of publication. We are confident she has learned much from her experiences at the University of Missouri and believe she will uphold the rigorous standards of academic excellence demanded of Gonzaga faculty and students.”
The most qualified and experienced in all the land? Mmm Kay.

Translation; another crazy activist professor felt she had been mistreated by “the man” or misogyny or what ever and decided to bring her aboard their little hate train.
At least they were smart enough to make it a non-tenure track position, that way if she sticks her piggy little nose up in a camera again and shoots her mouth off, which I would bet is about 80% likely, they can just cut her loose.
Well their mascot is a Bulldog. Sounds like she is perfect for the job!

I object to SJW’s going after someone’s job when the SJW’s are offended. So, I am not unhappy that Click is employed again.
I could accept her being employed, but would have preferred McDonald’s to have hired her as the clown.
I do not mind her having a job, but she is not the kind of person who should be teaching.
Rick-Ms. Click was not fired because her opponents were offended by her speech. She was fired because she called for individuals to assault a member of the press who was lawfully in a public place engaged in 1st Amendment protected activities that were inconvenient to herself and he cause. As a communications professor and as a government employee, she knew or should have known better. Her actions showed her manifest unfitness to hold any taxpayer funded position , much less that of a communications professor. While I wish her best, she should never be in a publicly funded position or in a position where she should instruct anyone.
Not just a member of the “press”. It was member of the student press who was also a minority if I remember correctly he was of Asian decent.
So Gonzaga self-identifies as another university that deserves no state funding.
Gonzaga must have been impressed that Click could not only help lose state funds, but also, manage to chase away 1/4 or the incoming Freshman class.
Watch for the “one-year, non-tenure track position as a lecturer” morph into something much better as the year progresses — all based on academic and teaching excellence, no doubt.
“the most qualified and experienced candidate for the position” is a tough sell. I read her op-ed in the Washington Post. I was not impressed. There is an agenda and it is not about the “rigorous standards of academic excellence…”

Just the left doing what they do, rewarding one of their own. They like what she did. They just can’t admit it in public.
You made me think about this which is good! I am more cynical about SJWs. I think SJW-A will do something for SJW-B only if SJW-A has something to gain. That something can be as little as “feeling good about myself” for even a minute. I do not think any SJW cares about anyone but himself but he will use anybody as a means to any end. SJWs are very selfish people.
She likely has a friend, or a friend of a friend, at Gonzaga. Maybe the friend submitted her pet turtle as the other candidate.
Another step down for Gonzaga. They used to be a respected school.
Definitely past tense. In fact, much of Spokane, Washington is turning into an utter rat hole. Their city council recently celebrated the renaming of Columbus Day as Indigenous People’s Day.
It used to be that the Jesuits ran great colleges and universities. I went to one, Holy Cross.

I am having trouble wrapping my arms around the very idea that this Roman Catholic University, would hire this Click for anything that would have her come in contact with students. Times are changing. I see a future when I disassociate myself from the Roman Catholic Church.
