IDF brings the roof down on Hamas murderer of Rabbi Miki Mark – literally

Muhammad al-Fakih engaged in firefight until IDF bulldozer destroyed his firing position.

On July 1, 2016, we covered the murder of Rabbi Michael “Miki” Mark, a father of 10 children, in front of his wife and several of the kids, Palestinian War of Terror – Israeli father of 10 murdered in front of his family:

A Palestinian shot and murdered Michael “Miki” Mark, an Israeli father of 10, as he drove near Hebron. His wife and two of their children sustained injuries in the attack.

From The Jerusalem Post:

In Friday’s incident, the rain of bullets against the vehicle caused it to overturn. Paramedics who arrived at the scene found Mark in the upside down vehicle, while the other passengers had been managed to exit the car.

Magen David Adom paramedic Zaki Yahav said that it was a “very difficult” scene. Mark “was trapped inside” with gunshot wounds and other injuries form the accident. He didn’t have a pulse and he wasn’t breathing. “We tried to resuscitate him,” said Zahav, but it was not possible they declared him dead at the scene.

Magen David Adom reported that Mark’s wife, in her 40s has been evacuated while sedated and intubated, and rushed to the Hadassah Medical Center in Ein Karem in serious condition. His daughter, 14, sustained with a gun shot wound to her stomach is in serious condition and his son, 15-year-, was lightly injured.
The funeral was attended by thousands:

This week the IDF located his Hamas cell killers, and its leader was killed resisting arrest.

The Times of Israel reports:

A Palestinian terrorist who murdered a West Bank rabbi earlier this month was killed in an overnight raid Tuesday, as Israeli intelligence, police and army units united to track down the Hamas killer and other members of his cell.

The trail to Muhammad al-Fakih — who is believed to have fired the shot that killed Mark — ended at the West Bank village of Surif, north of Hebron. Fakih died there early Wednesday morning when the Israel Defense Forces fired anti-tank missiles before bulldozing the house in which he was hunkered down.

The army said the three other cell members — Fakih’s brother, Sahir; their cousin Muaz Fakih; and Mohammed Omaireh — all belong to the Hamas terror group, which rules the Gaza Strip and has seen growing popularity in the West Bank.

The hunt for the rabbi’s killers began proper on July 4, three days after his death, when Omaireh — a member of the Palestinian Preventive Security Services — was arrested. He told Shin Bet officials during questioning that that it was he who drove the car on the night of the attack, but that it was Fakih who had actually fired the shots.

Here is a Hamas photo of al-Fakih:

The Times of Israel report details the confrontation that led to al-Fakih’s death:

Once intelligence agents pinpointed Fakih’s hiding place in the village, Border Police, SWAT and IDF undercover units moved in late Tuesday night, and surrounded the building. The Israeli troops called on Fakih to surrender, but he refused and instead began shooting with a rifle. The Israeli soldiers returned fire.

An elderly Palestinian woman, apparently Fakih’s grandmother, then emerged from the building. She was taken away to receive medical treatment for light shrapnel injuries.

But as Fakih still refused to surrender and continued to fire on the troops, the IDF applied its so-called “pressure cooker” tactic, a steady increase in intensity and power of weapons brought to bear on the building.

The stand-off continued for several hours, during which IDF troops directed intense gunfire as well as “Simon” door-breaching rifle grenades at the building, followed by a TOW anti-tank missile and five anti-tank rockets. The rockets caused significant damage to the building.

Finally, an IDF armored bulldozer was brought in to demolish the remaining walls of the three-story building. Fakir refused to emerge even as the structure collapsed around him and killed him.

These videos show the operation to capture the cell and the final gunfight:

Needless to say, anti-Israel activists are not happy with the result. In particular, they are singling out Caterpiller which manufacturers the bulldozer. Seriously, these people are pathetic.

The family of Rabbi Mark thanked the IDF and other forces:

The family of a rabbi killed in a West Bank shooting attack on Wednesday expressed its gratitude to the army for eliminating his killer and arresting his Hamas accomplices in a pre-dawn raid.

Electronics Intifada’s analysis is crap. The backhoe they picture isn’t even close to the one Israel used.

The murderers of Hamas call it an “extrajudicial killing”? Really? Of a person who was shooting at them after being given every opportunity to surrender peaceably ?

I thought “extra-judicial killing” was Hamas’ primary enterprise. They’re against it now? Who knew?

It was just as much an “extra-judicial killing” as the robot takeout of Dallas Cop murderer Micah Johnson.

The “Electronic Intifada” (a/k/a “Pussies Behind Computers) can go to my GoFundMe page and contribute to the diesel fuel account for the IDF.

Can we really do that? Will they take it? Will some go to Hamas in Gaza, as Israel is forced to supply their enemies?

PS – Of course, the same crowd attack the killing of the Dallas murderer by a mechanical-american. There ought to be a way to declare that the police will not investigate if any of these “activists” are killed or robbed.

Professor :
I’d fwd. this to leftist friend Henry, but ;
he doesn’t like me much anymore.
