8th Planned Parenthood Video: Buyer Wants “Another 50 Livers per Week”

Last week, the Center for Medical Progress released a “teaser” of their 8th video implicating Planned Parenthood and StemExpress officials in the trafficking of fetal body parts. Until last week, the video’s publication had been banned under a temporary restraining order sought by StemExpress; CMP, however, overcame that TRO on free speech grounds, and seized the opportunity to release more footage before StemExpress’ attorneys could launch an appeal. Today, CMP released the full video, throwing into full relief the legal situation groups like Planned Parenthood and StemExpress could find themselves in if activists keep digging. In the video, StemExpress CEO Cate Dyer talks with “buyers” about how abortion providers’ actions affect how much money the products of abortion—or, as decent human beings like to say, the baby’s body—can raise for procurement firms. Watch:HotAir breaks it down:

Dyer also discusses how StemExpress had to intervene in the “procurement” process in order to get usable specimens, suggesting that abortionists have to change their methods to get them — which would violate federal law:

“So many physicians are like, ‘Oh I can totally procure tissue,’ and they can’t,” expresses Dyer, seeming to indicate that abortion doctors must do the procedure in a special way to obtain useable fetal parts. Federal law requires that no alteration in the timing or method of abortion be done for the purposes of fetal tissue collection (42 U.S.C. 289g-1).“What about intact specimens?” asks one of the actors. “Oh yeah, I mean if you have intact cases, which we’ve done a lot, we sometimes ship those back to our lab in its entirety,” replies Dyer. “Case” is the clinical term for an abortion procedure. An “intact case” refers to an intact abortion with a whole fetus. “The entire case?” asks an actor. “Yeah, yeah,” says Dyer. “The procurement for us, I mean it can go really sideways, depending on the facility, and then our samples are destroyed,” she explains past botched fetal dissections, “so we started bringing them back even to manage it from a procurement expert standpoint.”

At one point, Dyer makes a point to note how viciously protective Planned Parenthood is of their clinics and their business. If you’re not on board with the butchery, consider yourself on blast:

If you’re not in the cause, they don’t need you around. If you’re not a champion, you should go.

Although this video is less dramatic than those previously released, its contents provide valuable hints about how the continuing battle to defund Planned Parenthood is likely to proceed. If these clinics have indeed changed their practices in order to produce more valuable specimens, that could spell big legal trouble for Planned Parenthood.
