Accurate Analysis Week at College Insurrection

Your weekly dispatch from the world of higher education.

Christina Hoff Sommers of the American Enterprise Institute has been on a roll lately. When it comes to reporting the facts about rape culture and college campuses, she’s an authority.

Speaking of rape culture…

It was a big week for Berkeley.

And there was an incident at Yale.

About that plan to tax college savings…

Fans of history will love this new video from Prager University.

Cause and effect.

What about free speech?

When did chicken sandwiches become hateful?

Um… no.

What could go wrong?

It’s good to have choices.

All leftism, all the time.

No more fun of any kind!

Those Prager University presentations are generally terrific, but the one on the Middle Ages is especially good.

The Prager U. vid just glossed over a thousand years of serfdom, pogroms and suppression of private enterprise and innovation by pointing to a few pieces of art and architecture which were produced exclusively for a ruling class of priests and nobles.

It’s astonishing how anyone can credit this period as the bedrock of modern western civilization when it was really a slow torturous time of recovering the culture, rule of law and scientific inquiry which was lost with the collapse of the Roman civilization.

We need to look at history from the perspective of the times people lived.

‘The rule of law and scientific inquiry lost with the collapse of Rome?’ You mean, relentless civil war, crucifixion, slavery, debauchery, institutionalized corruption and gangsterism, and on and on and on?

Speaking of serfdom, look at Cuba and North Korea. And Pogroms? – Look at Nazi Germany, and now Isis.

How can you not see the amazing strides in civilization made in Europe after the fall of the Roman Empire? ( — Leading to the Magna Carta, which was was agreed to way back in 1215.)

And what architecture during the time of the Roman Empire wasn’t produced exclusively for a ruling dictator who didn’t fancy himself a demi-God?

Being there’s a rape culture, wouldn’t even leftist loons want to ensure we have cultured rapists?
