“Pigs in a blanket” chanted in #Ferguson long before #NYPD executions
The Link from the Ferguson Intifada to the NYPD executions.
On October 25, 2014, I wrote about how anti-Israel activists attempted to co-opt and hijack the Ferguson protests and riots and turn the anger towards Israel, Intifada Missouri – Anti-Israel activists may push Ferguson over the edge.
The activists gathered under the “Palestine2Ferguson” banner and Twitter hashtag.
One of the key anti-Israel activists was Bassem Masri, a Palestinian-American who attempted to instigate confrontations between police and protesters, as he livestreamed the protests.
Fast forward to the execution of two NYPD police officers, Wenjian Lu and Rafael Ramos, on December 20, by Ismaaiyl Brinsley.
The killer wrote on Instagram in his final post:
“I’m Putting Wings On Pigs Today. They Take 1 Of Ours…Let’s Take 2 of Theirs,” “This May Be My Final Post … I’m Putting Pigs In A Blanket.”
After the killing, Masri attracted attention because he tweeted and was on video chanting, with others, “Pigs In a Blanket, Fry ‘Em Like Bacon.”

Masri denies that she supported the killing, but seems to like the chant.
(language warning)
As offensive as these post-killing chants are, that’s not the real story here.
The real story is the connection between the killer’s final Instagram note and the Ferguson protests.
The “pigs in a blanket” language was chanted during the Ferguson protests in the fall.
Twitchy covered it on September 26, 2014, ‘Pigs in a blanket, fry ‘em like bacon’: It’s 2 a.m. and this is what Ferguson agitators are doing (h/t Michelle Malkin).
Horrible. These #Ferguson protesters now yelling "Pigs In The Blanket, Fry Them Like Bacon", and No Justice, No Donuts.. #Hateful Idiots

Here’s another:

It was a chant Masri tweeted out in November as well:

Putting “Pigs in a Blanket” was the call in Ferguson this fall, and on a street in Brooklyn on December 20.

“14 Likes” on his Instagram post? That is very, very sick indeed!
I don’t think that puke will live long or prosper.
One of his anarchist buds will do him the favor of ending his misery.
Masri denies that he supported the killing, but seems to like the chant.
Masri talks out both sides of his mouth. According to Jim Hoft, Masri tweeted:
“The police have no1 2blame but themselves4the cops getting murdered inNY” (Dec 21)
Masri was arrested in October for assaulting a cop. He also taunted the cops:
“At one point you can hear Masri tell officers, while pointing at each one, ‘I’m praying for your death and your death and your death and your death.'”
If we had an AG who cared for law and order, Masri would be sweating bullets under Federal detention right now.
Masri talks out both sides of his mouth.
Now that someone actually acted on the crap he was shanting and shouting, he’s “Don’t look at me! I didn’t do it! It’s their fault, see? Yeah, that’s it!”
The coward has officially earned the moniker “manlet”.
(Besides, in the picture with the “fist”, he looks as scary as George Costanza.)
I will state again my belief that Bassem is NOT a “Palestinian” activist but a Hamas operative. In America to stir up hate, get people killed, and recruit cannon fodder for the cause of killing all that don’t follow Hamas.
The young and the gullible who buy into this are buying a pig in a poke.
And if they have any latent commonsense will regret it as they grow older and wiser … perhaps into a less inviting world.
“And if they have any latent commonsense…”
Chuckle. No, they don’t. Commonsense is uncommon among these people.
I do have one question.
What would a Muslim know about “pigs in a blanket” or frying bacon?
You raise such an interesting question, Professor Jacobson, particularly in light of the overly cautious caution being espoused by many conservative bloggers. The gist of their argument, and there is merit to it, is that Sarah Palin and the Tea Party were not any more responsible for the Gabby Giffords shooting than leftists from Obama down are responsible for this double execution of two NYC police officers.
The problem with this overly-generous assessment (espoused everywhere from Ace to Hot Air) is that the TEA Party never rallied in the streets calling for the murder of any group or of anyone. Leftists, racists, and assorted malcontents did just that in the wake of the Grand Jury verdicts. Calling, literally, for the slaughter of police officers is a far cry from “targeting” political opponents in a political campaign that counts votes as “bullets.”
Once again, and as always, our better nature as conservatives is being used against us. Gee, if Sarah didn’t call for the shooting of Gabby, then all those people calling for the slaughter of police officers across the country didn’t happen. Erm. Or something.
