Obama sticks to “no negotiation” position

Obama sticks to “no negotiation” position

Well, apparently today was just a photo op at the White House.

Obama is still in a no negotiation mode. Instead, he’s deliberately trying to talk down the markets.

Two days into this and it is looking good to me. Perhaps this is a chance to lessen obama’s ability to destroy America.
I will contribute to any reasonable primary candidate against any Republican who votes for a “clean” CR.

Dennis Miller:

“We’re so far thru the looking glass now, we put saw horses up to keep out the Occupy Omaha Beach heroes, but not the Occupy Wall St. jag-offs.”

Easy.

Just confiscate and redistribute the salaries, pension (and income from side gigs) of every Democrat that’s in the Executive, Legislative and Judicial Branch.

While we’re at it. Grab some more from our leftist multimillionaire celebrities and talking heads at CNN.

There ought to be enough there keep the parks open.

They shouldn’t mind. It’s for the greater good after all.

No surprise. Boehner was pwned, but he had to go. I think it will be worth it. It was yet one more childish move by the community organizer who is losing support by the minute.

See…??? This is delusion on a scale showing a deep pathology.

It is pathetic to see a narcissist playing out their pathologies in a desperate drive for approval and recognition.

But it is outright DANGEROUS when that poor, broken child is the President.

Completely delusional. The only “bending” Obama has done that I can recall was with Larry Sinclair, and that was mostly bending forward….

Estragon in reply to Ragspierre. | October 3, 2013 at 1:01 am

A real reporter would have asked him for some examples of when he “bent over backward for Republicans.”

We all saw him bend over twerking for Putin.

Has Boehner found his testicles? Nah, it’s just the conservative wing is holding them in a vise.

By all means, grip them tighter and wrench them off if he capitulates! And as for congress-critter King of NY, he needs to be checked for early onset Alzheimer’s….

I told you so, 🙂 :

If Obama is true to form, he will meet with Republicans for five minutes, and tell them they get nothing. Then he’ll rely on media to claim he tried to negotiate, (giving Repub’s a chance to kiss his ring).

Midwest Rhino | October 2, 2013 at 8:54 pm

Years of manipulating interest rates, and now Quantitative Easing, which even Bernanke lied about … first saying they would never do that, then claiming he was not doing it, then finally admitting.

They know trouble is coming, and are looking for someone to blame. It is kabuki theater.

But all they will do is continue to skyrocket spending, your electricity rates will necessarily skyrocket, your health insurance will necessarily skyrocket, your IRS will necessarily assault any tea partiers that believe in the constitution, Holder/Clinton/Lerner/Clapper/Corzine must necessarily lie to Congress …

good grief

Let’s see.

Obama tried to intimidate some WWII Vets. Didn’t work.

Now he’s trying to spook the stock market.

I guess if you’re a U.S. President who, unlike all your predecessors, wants the market to go down …

… October is the time to do it.

In an unheard of move for a President of America, Obama deliberately sows panic in our freemarket system to achieve a political end. Yet this is a strategy he’s employed many times before over other, lesser issues, so it shouldn’t come as a surprise. Still, the audacity and toxicity of what he did today is pretty startling for an American leader. And this is all takes place within the context of some of the most virulently hateful rhetoric since the Civil War coming from others in the democrat party directed at Republicans.

John Boehner, meanwhile, in the midst of all this, emerges from a White House meeting talking about how nice and cordial his meeting with the White House was.

The juxtaposition is both incredible, and yet totally predictable. This is how the republicans play. Completely pathetic.

This is the first fully anti-American administration in our history; the Wilson administration is the only other that even comes close.

I’d even go so for far as to say old Woodie is probably starting to rotate a little. He’s probably turning more like a rotisserie chicken, while most of the other presidents are spinning proverbial lathes or, in the case of TJ, a vertical centrifuge.

sequester in reply to raven. | October 3, 2013 at 5:40 am

This is an adversarial meeting. Only a complete full would say “nice and cordial”. In diplo speak the wording is “frank discussions, and no progress was made“.

The finger of blame is being pointed at Obama, Reid, Boehner, Cruz, the Tea Party…

All wrong. I lay the blame 100% on the head of the pathetic, spineless weasel, Bart Stupak. Without his self-castration, we’re not having this conversation.

    Hear hear.

    Clap clap.

    Well said.

My wife and I were just last night discussing Mr., “I got a note from the Prez”, Stupak and his disappearing act. We live just north of where he supposedly lives in MI. He’s the quiet, reclusive type now? When I see him, I’ll ask and see if he still has the note.

Wonder what was really said in this meeting?

Karen Sacandy | October 2, 2013 at 11:24 pm

So it took Obama 1.5 days to offer to meet. It took Harry Reid 1.5 days to reveal his true indifference to child cancer patients. As this goes on, they’re going to say more revealing things.

I would very much like to see this continue for 4 to 6, maybe 8 weeks. By the end of this week, I’m sure the cancer children will be funded. If not, the Dems risk revealing too much of their true nature…

CNN certainly didn’t play up Reid’s comment, so Drudge scooped them on their own story – just like he scooped Newsweek on Miss Lewinsky.

Yes, 6 weeks of this, and you’d see the Dems twisting in the wind…..

We’ve had plenty of shutdowns and been close even more often. The difference was that in every case the President was willing to talk. Obama won’t. He thinks shutdown helps him politically.

Obama thinks he can bring more pain fast enough to make Republicans buckle. That is why the nonsensical closing of unmanned monuments and trails, the self-funded ones included, and the Navy-AF football game, which is put on by their independent athletic foundations, not the government, and makes a profit anyway.

He is so arrogant he hasn’t thought of who he brings the pain TO. Federal employees are 95% Democrats, he’s not gaining there. Much of his civilian support is on benefits that aren’t affected. He’s hitting veterans and middle class families, the sort of independents that swing either way. And they are less likely to be fooled by his rhetoric.

Speaking of cats that won’t negotiate!

“Tell Chamberlain I will not negotiate with Benes over the fate of German people being oppressed in Czechoslovakia! This is a question of humanity, of honor.”

“You may have my word, or nothing!”

Why not? He’s up against the absolute bozos running the GOP.
