Today in “Twitter brings out the best in people” – UPDATED

or more precisely, who they really are.

Allan Brauer, Communications Director for the Sacramento Democratic Party wished Amanda Carpenter’s children slow painful deaths from incurable diseases (via Twitchy):

Amanda Carpenter, by the way, used to be a speech writer for Jim DeMint, and now is a speech writer and communications advisor to Ted Cruz.

Now it makes sense.

Bauer has apologized to Carpenter.  But not for this tweet from 2012 (warning, don’t open in front of the kids).

UPDATE, 9/20 8:10pm EST:

Brauer has reportedly resigned.

From the Democratic Party of Sacramento County:

The Democratic Party of Sacramento County (DPSC) Friday called for and accepted the resignation of its volunteer communications chair following of series of personal twitter comments directed at GOP staff after Republicans voted to defund President Obama’s health care law.

DPSC chair Kerri Asbury said the personal twitter comments made by Communications Committee chair Allan Brauer were “appalling and inexcusable.” She accepted his resignation Friday, and issued the following statement:

“The comments by our volunteer communications chair are appalling and inexcusable. No matter what our political disagreements may be, wishing harm is never an acceptable response during heated public debate or any other time. Mr. Brauer has apologized for his comments and expressed his remorse.”

She fails to see that she could make the same point “praying that his kid’s won’t” instead of that they do.

That is the problem with the left. They weaponize the issue like they own it instead of debating it.

I pray that her kids don’t die because a death panel says stats show they have a slim chance of living after being treated and they aren’t worth the expense to save.

Oops, I read Ellen instead of Allan. Need to wear my glasses ( won’t help, I am dyslexic anyway ).

Oh well, maybe Allan will probably announce soon that he wants to be Ellen and save me from this embarrassing mistake.

This was no underling. He was the Communications Director, the one in charge of getting out the Dem’s party line.

He will get in trouble with the Dems for one thing–he helped expose how truly vicious they are and that they will say and do anything to keep power.

It just goes to show that instead of debating the merit or faults of ideas, that ad hominem rules the internet.

Godwin’s law comes to mind.

First you put out vicious wishes and then apologize? How does that work?

I would venture a guess that Allan Brauer has had a lifetime of up-close and personal connection to pubic lice.
He’s positively smitten enough with them to conjure them up into his twitter utterings. Does anyone know whether he is closely related to Alan Grayson? Or Michelle Obama?

“Does anyone know whether he is closely related to Alan Grayson? Or Michelle Obama?”

No, but I suspect he’s a third cousin of David Guth.

So that’s a Democrat Party communications director, eh?

He’s cute, to the extent that a drug-addled intellectually challenged thirteen year old with a conduct disorder is cute.

a bi*chy little queen says what ????

Apologized? What I saw above was a tweet that only referenced one “tweet”. What about the other vile tweets? I have to hand it to Amanda. She showed a lot more class in her reply than I would have shown.

(Sometimes I’m tempted to get a twitter account but you know how those things can end up popping up in the craziest places like a trial or something like that.)

hes out of that position now

Democratic Party of Sacramento County Calls For and Accepts Resignation of Communications Chair for Tweeting ‘Appalling and Inexcusable’ Comments

Thus we see the power of Twitchy. Michelle Malkin looks smarter every day.

The conservative blogs are great and have their place. Everything from the Two Professors to the Corner to Ace and all the rest. Conservative talk shows are also marvelous. Rush, Sean, Hugh and so on can reach a lot of people in a hurry.

But they can’t muster the instant spread of news that Twitter can, and Twitter works a lot better when there’s a reference site for one to see what’s hot and gathering speed. Twitchy is an aggregator: even more, a repository. Allan Brauer couldn’t hide once Twitchy started gathering up all the tweets by and at him.

Twitchy got Brauer today. The perp tweeted back to Amanda, she passed it on, her peeps started tweeting, and Twitchy picked up on it. That started the tweetalanche and that’s what put the Sacramento Democratic Party in a bad, bad position.

This is where conservatives have to learn from the progressives. Michelle Malkin obviously did. Well done, ma’am, well done.

It would be pretty funny if the only job Allan could find was working the drive up window at a Tucson Chick-Fil-A.

Don’t forget the hashtag #AllanBrauerProWritingTips !

Yeah, I just bet he’s “remorseful.”

Oh, it’s not that they’re unsympathetic with his comments.
But he broke one of the commandments of the Democratic party:
“Never take off your mask in public.”
If you’re in a closed event, fine.
If it’s off the record with our press members, fine.
If you are surrounded by true-believers, fine.
But never take off your mask in the open air. Ever.
He slipped up and talked out of turn.
Now he must be publicly cleansed until a later date when he may be ‘reassigned.’

They hate, therefore they are.

These are dangerous people, who would order genocide with the same glee as Che Guevara did upon gaining power under Fidel Castro. Only their Castro is Obama – but with out the brains. (Though he does have the beard: Michelle)

And I so wanted to be “friends” with him:)

I know that techniques exist to boost your Google search rankings. And that the Internet is forever. Would it not be truly tragic if someone more skilled than I was able to arrange it so that any search for this ambulatory onanistic device by name or PR company would lead to a less than flattering description of this incident, the Tweets, etc?

I grant that it would probably increase his attractiveness to Leftist businesses; but they are less likely to pay their bills. And it would protect any decent souls trying to make a living from associating with him.

From Ward Churchill’s Little Eichmanns comment, to Jon Stewart agreeing Harry Truman was a war criminal, to every vile thing coming out of Sarah Silverman’s mouth (although she never apologizes), and countless other examples, Allan Brauer is merely following the logical path of “modern liberal” ideology.

It’s not like they stray from the core premises and come up with some wild crazy-assed conclusions, it’s because of their core premises.

The problem with just apologizing for what they say is that the why remains fully intact. They may publically say they’re sorry, but in the end they’re still liberals who firmly believe what they originally said. They’re just sorry they said it out loud and got caught.
