I’m sure that TM felt that gun with his leg. My husband feels the same. He told me, he would have felt the gun with his leg and wouldn’t have to see it to know what it was.

BdlR is guilty of the gratuitous mounting of a mannequin!

Sad that we have to rely on the Daily Mail to get decent coverage.

Love the picture of Mt. Crumpet – find some damned collar stays or buy some starch!

The kids at 4Chan created this replacement animation for use in the closing argument: http://i.imgur.com/Slor2PQ.jpg

Creepy-ass cracka, rapist = cultural patois
Fucking punks, assholes = Murder 2

Yeah, as a white man, observing this case, it was delightful to know that I am freely called a ‘cracker,’ ‘ass cracker,’ or ‘creepy ass cracker’ and that it is perfect okay.

But if Paula Dean, a white woman, utters the N word once after the experience of getting robbed by a black man and regrets using the word thirty years ago after having said it, why, it justifiable if her whole world falls apart.

Can we have MoM put 40 seconds on a kitchen timer, show it to the jury, start the timer, put the dummy on the floor, straddle it, pound it until the timer goes off, and then get up, stop the timer, take a deep breath, and then give his closing?

Slightly different idea I had today. Get the dummy and remind the jury that GZ was getting punched by TM for at lest 40 seconds on the phone. Tell the jury to get ready and start counting the blows that he throws at the dummy. HE will punch for 40 seconds.

Then, starting punching at the dummy. Miss several blows, wiggle around and show them moving around. Alternately put his hands on the dummy’s mouth and yell “Help” then throw a few punches at it again. At the 40 second mark, have West loudly slap the table to simulate a gunshot without telling the jury.

MOM will have EASILY thrown 25-30 punches while alternately covering the mouth up.

Then MOM stands up and asks them how many punches were thrown. MOM then says, “Ladies and Gentlemen That’s what a 40 second barrage of punches looks like.” Those women will be wide eyed at how much punishment can be dished out and how long that would seem to George Zimmerman.

F the dummy (pardon my language), make BDLR lay down and take the beatin’ ! 🙂

Feels like 2 dozen punches to someone whose head has been stunned by fists and concrete.

Does the State really think someone being beaten to an inch of their life seriously counts each blow?

Whar’s my Defense closing post!

I bet Andrew thinks court starts at 9 a.m., not 8:30.

This freaks me out. I’m afraid the jury will “follow their hearts/feelings” instead of the evidence. The Prosecution was very dramatic. Does that outweigh reason and evidence?

[…] yesterday the 200,000th comment was posted at Legal […]

How come Martin didn’t have any blood on his hands or more evidence of punching and hitting Zimmerman?

The simplest answer is that there wasn’t any blood on Zimmerman’s face at the time Martin repeatedly was pushing, pounding, palming, and/or pummeling him in various places on his head, neck or shoulders. It came down later when he stood up.

Also, the lightest swipe on a sensitive just-broken nose can feel like a lot more, including smothering, if it’s filling with fluids.

Sally MJ in reply to janitor. | July 12, 2013 at 4:36 pm

My point exactly. There wasn’t any blood on GZ’s nose yet – and it didn’t appear until after he stood up WHEN GRAVITY WAS WORKING. And I’m an English major, not a scientist.
