Infographic — Conservative Tweets Force MSM Coverage of #Gosnell

There was a lot of Twitter activity trying to drive the mainstream media to cover the trial of Kermit Gosnell.

The Washington Post and NY Times, among others, now will be sending reporters to the trial, although denying that any pro-abortion bias caused them to shy away.  As you also know, there is a fairly furious effort to claim that feminists were ahead of the issue, a theory I have debunked.

The infographic below, provided to me by former Legal Insurrection contributor Matthew Knee now with Target Point Consulting, illustrates the surge of Twitter activity last week and into the weekend.  Here are some sections, with the full infographic below:

Last week, conservatives flooded Twitter to demand that the mainstream media cover the Dr. Kermit Gosnell infanticide trial. They saw rapid success, causing mainstream media coverage of the Gosnell trial to triple and non-Twitter social media and web/blog coverage to quadruple from Thursday to Friday. Additionally, Gosnell was tweeted about twice as much as President Obama on Friday, and sustained an advantage through Saturday.

Round 2 of Gosnell tweetfest on Wednesday, 4/17 8:00AM – 8:00PM EDT

Unfortunately, the MSM now has legitimate cover from the “Boston (Marathon) Massacre”. We definitely need to keep the pressure on them to ensure that word of Gosnell’s atrocities gets out.

It’s a start.

Is it? (I’m a bit slow to catch up.) When I saw that post, my first thought was who scheduled it for a Friday?

that was supposed to be in response to the Neighbor.

It wasn’t scheduled, but a legitimate groundswell that developed in response to testimony on a day-by-day basis, combined with a photograph of the empty seats reserved for media in the courtroom. As trial testimony came out, those bloggers and folks closely following the trial tweeted details and hashtags began to develop, taking off with #WhoIsKermitGosnell.
