So Hitler’s alive and resides at “66 Hell” in Wisconsin? I think he forgot the third six in his effort to be amusing, but then nobody ever said Hitler was very bright, just evil.

I am disappointed. I was hoping for one of the Hitler-in-bomb-shelter-with-his-aides videos. Y’know, the ones where he screams, and takes his glasses off and all that.

That’s the best they could do? What about the guy who forged his brothers name several times?

Three cheers for the IDF Team!

So, if Hitler wants Scott removed, he must want a union-supported Democrat in the office?

I couldn’t be more disgusted with Obama. I was gagging before he was elected. I am still not going to vote for Romney.

Me, either. But look for a TEAnami in the House and Senate races.

A commenter at Ace of Spades nailed it (not an endorsement of AoS, as his view is derided there): Obama can’t betray you.

The average voter doesn’t make a distinction between Republican and conservative. Romney, whether we like it or not, will be the chief representative of conservatism. His actions being progressive won’t change this reality.

Who does T-Paw think he is? McCain passed him up for Veep in 2008, there’s no way Romney is going to pick him for Veep in 2012. Two boring guys on the same ticket? The establishment would have a come-to-Jesus moment with Romney if Pawlenty was at the top of the Veep choices again. Romney and the establishment knows there will have to be some red meat for the party grassroots in the Vice Presidential selection.

Has T-Paw decided whether he is going to run for the Senate seat against Amy Klobuchar?

“This year, the excitement is different: This isn’t about going to Disneyworld; it’s about paying your mortgage.” How wrong you are. People still want the dream, more than ever. When we give that up, we’ve given up.

Wow. That says clearly that Romney wants to manage the decline, not lead and provide vision to a nation at a crossroads.

If Romney wins the nomination, we will have some hard work to keep him from being the Obama lite so many think he is. And, that “consultant” should be the one Romney fires!

I’m still ABO, but hoping Newt (or Santorum) will prevail.

Some people made a lot of money in the Great Depression. Now, I don’t want any corporate raider scavenging the U.S. with his cronies for good deals.

Hope Change in reply to DINORightMarie. | February 7, 2012 at 11:03 pm

As to Newt, yes. Big yes.

A campaign about big ideas, big solutions. Involves the genius, heart and soul of the American people.

I guess some would call that a trip to Disneyworld? What an utter, cynical lack of spirit and imagination.

Count me in the Disneyworld camp. Walt Disney, so I’ve read, was TURNED DOWN BY 50 BANKS when he was first starting Disney Studios.

Those who will not use their imaginations are exactly the kind of people who got us into this mess. Sarah Palin said, “‘status quo’ — that’s Latin for ‘the mess we’re in’.” I have no time for the colorless souls.

Every good thing starts as a dream. Where did the iPhone come from? The Mona Lisa? Claire de Lune? The drapes, the snow blower, the space shuttle, teflon, post-its, the contours of your new car, the shape of the silverware in the kitchen. Someone had to think of it first. Braces on teeth. Eyeglasses.

There is nothing humans have invented that didn’t start as a dream, an insight, an idea.

Lincoln campaigned on building a railroad across the prairie when he had never seen a train, but only read about them.

“If you want to build a boat … arouse in people a longing for the endless immensity of the sea.” Antoine de Saint-Exupéry

There is no future without dreams. Americans are always dreamers, doers, innovators, improvisers. Jazz and basketball.

Don’t tell me not to want Disneyworld.

A British general in WWII said that with British and other allied troops, you gave orders. But with Americans, you had to tell them WHY.

Rommel, steeped in centuries of military lore, said that the Americans, having no traditions, were not on the same level as the European troops, but that it was astonishing how fast the Americans ADAPTED.

In Washington’s Crossing, I learned that George Washington, perhaps partly out of out of necessity, because the Americans who showed up to fight with him were all so independent, but also, as I recall, out of preference, adopted a leadership style in which everyone was given a chance to voice an opinion. Even the person of low military rank might presumably be of great experience. This is our tradition.

Something better, something worth having, is being offered to us this election.

I hope you will find out what it is. It’s the chance of a lifetime. A fighting chance to restore our country. These solutions are particularly suited for the American spirit, which is, and is meant to be, a radiant thing.

There is simply no need whatsoever to be discouraged. And frankly, it’s a little unseemly in a free people.

Together, we are an unstoppable force for restoration of our country.

“This year, the excitement is different: This isn’t about going to Disneyworld; it’s about paying your mortgage.”

Wait a minute… when did we have that “disneyworld” election? This has been serious business for most of us. What planet has team romney been on?

The Natural Gas – always glad to see international issues on the blog.

Detecting reserves & being able to exploit them are 2 different propositions.

They require massive capital inflow in stable zones – Unfortunately Israeli operations would need 24/7 perpetual military defense.

The oil wars were so last century. Natural gas is the ticket for 2020 +.
