Just like the Tea Party

Just like the Tea Party

Because these are the types of headlines from Tea Party rallies:

In one sense, it’s a tragedy because at a certain level, some of the sentiments of Occupy Wall Street do mirror the anti-cronyism arguments of the Tea Party movement.  The difference is that the OWS movement was started by and is run by people who do not have our country’s best insterests in mind, and have manipulated what could have been positive aspects of the movement into a dysfunctional agitation.

Just saw this Daily Kos diary linked to at Hot Air:

“PROOF the TEABAGGERS are RACIST, VIOLENT, and DISGUSTING”

http://www.dailykos.com/story/2011/10/29/1031198/-PROOF-the-TEABAGGERS-are-RACIST,-VIOLENT,-and-DISGUSTING

TEA Partiers included many who are Haves who earned what they have. There is self-respect, stewardship, and a respect for others that comes from being a productive, successful human being.

OWSers include many who are Haves, but never held a job, never will hold a job, and aren’t remotely interested in being challenged. They can’t see how disrespectful they are to themselves in meeting the basic challenge of personal hygiene. Too much Nanny to wipe them and dress them, I suppose. They, in the spirit of AGW and Eco-friendly policy, litter and corrupt the earth and environment around them. They actively demonstrate disrespect for anyone who won’t give them freedom from consequences. Because – they are thoughtful, considerate members of humanity.

The difference is that the OWS movement was started by and is run by people who do not have our country’s best insterests in mind, and have manipulated what could have been positive aspects of the movement into a dysfunctional agitation.

Just like the 1960s protests.

First as tragedy, then as farce, one of OWS’s heroes wrote about how history repeats.

I wonder how many of them stood in solidarity with the various Tea Party participants, when the latter protested against progressive involuntary exploitation and retributive change.

The “occupy” movement is both right and wrong. Their priorities are wrong.

OWS is just like the tea party just as Cornell’s Jacobson is just like Cornel West.

History never stops but occasionally it pauses to let us look back consider & reflect . Like they practice in Meditation -it is not necessary to jump ahead -just stay in the moment.

Hiking for days through Harrelson State Forest I stumbled out surprised to see signs -“NY 35 miles”. I had no idea I was anywhere near NY. LaterI got to Bear Mountain & looked over The Hudson to see NY in all of its Magnificent geography. It is one of the best sights in the world.

The actual city is so so. Later i took a train to Ny & stepped out at Madison Sq & looked up the street. Yeah Yeah -just another city. Then I took the train to JFK & decided to fly out & spend my money & time somewhere better.

Maybe it is not all happening in these squalid encampments.

would love to know what everyone thinks of this Daily Kos article if you get a chance to review…what are they up to? Puzzling….

Must’ve been hit by a conservative signee to Kos (if just for some temporary shiggles)or some such. The reaction, however, is just as interesting. No real input, but rather, denial that it’s accurate, and complaints that Kos is being “trolled” by the wicked other side….

I saw that yesterday …its a bit above their heads over there the Kos kids are pretty simple but that article could not be broken down to a series of catchy slogns of 8 words or less like …. NO PEACE ….NO JUSTICE so its Greek to them

O.K. but when I saw this a couple of days ago I had to laugh

Occupy Madison loses permit (due to public masterbation)

….and I nearly fell out of my chair when I read that they only denied the permit for a brief time. I had this picture or rather a vid running through my head of the Police Chief in Madison standing in front of the crowd there with a bullhorn telling them they could have their permit back if they promise to stop jerking off in public. I swear to God I had about a 15 minute break down when I started to roll with it. I had another with the leaders standing in front of the hippies doing that repeat thing they do when they address a crowd with down twinkels and everything asking them to not JO in public …..or marching around the capitol …screaming …. THIS IS WHAT DEMOCRACY LOOKS LIKE while at the same time they were ….* GRIN * I wish I could draw cartoons cause I could do a book of them just on this one …..and these folks are the same ones who are going to be attempting to recall Walker ….oh what fun it would be to tie them together ….Hey professor …you know anyone with a creative bent and twisted sense of humor and a dislike of liberals
