Debt Ceiling Tweet of the Day – We are all terrorists now

Comments

If George Orwell’s 1984 had never been written, would we still recognize the work of the ministry of truth?

Will doublespeak eventually null itself?

When the Tea Party first marched on DC and the numbers were shocking to everyone…the Pres left town without comment to hide at Camp David, Axelrod went on the Sunday AM shows and called them a few ignorants, and Reid said they were just a fad. Pelosi tried to create a racial incident with her perp walk ala gavel and false accusations were confronted and ended by Andrew Breitbart.

Now here we are…all terroists, one Dem analyst on Fox said the Tea Party strapped on a bombs and held the House and Krauthammer had to remind her post Gabby Giffords that wasn’t very civil. The Progs love a single group think message, to go along with their group think collective policies. Not only will this not stick, it is going to backfire big time.

Anyone notice they spread “Christian Right Wing Extremist” label all over the headlines on Oslo, but the latest muslim jihadist AWOL Army Srgt gets no mention of his religion or political leaning. Why?

Following the logic put forth in that article, then are Timothy Geitner and Charlie Rangel terrorists for not paying their taxes? Those dirty terrorists trying to get away with not paying their fair share. How about the drug dealers who earn untaxed income and still get welfare, terrorists!

GE for not paying taxes and moving jobs overseas, terrorists! GM and unions, terrorists for siphoning off tax dollars! Fannie Mae, terrorists for corruption leading to the housing market collapse!

AIG and Bank of America, terrorists for stealing money from the hardworking taxpayers of America! Terrorists for their crony capitalist connections which diverted money from the common welfare into their own pockets!

“Pick a target, freeze it, personalize it and polarize it.”

The Saul Alinsky students seem to be out in full force. But you don’t pick a target if you are not afraid of the influence that target has.

Gosh, maybe our side is guilty of disproportionate rhetoric.

If only we had land to hand over to the Democrats and could go back to the 1964 electoral borders so they wouldn’t be forced to hate us.

LukeHandCool (who is in the Sierra Nevada Mountains where internet access is very dodgy … and who, as he hiked to Devil’s Postpile and Rainbow Falls yesterday where nature’s grandeur put life’s details in perspective … wished he could teach the liberals of the world to sing in perfect tea-party harmony).

Pretend there is a “like” button on your comment and I just clicked on it 🙂

Haha! I like you too, Joy.

Now to argue with the little ones that we really have to go home. Very proud of my mom-in-law who had colon cancer surgery to remove a tumor and just finished chemotherapy a couple months ago … she finished the hike.

LukeHandCool (who always feels like he needs a vacation after taking a vacation with his kids).

The irresponsible and intentional student loan defaulter. The welfare mother that spends more than her monthly food stamps on clubbing, cigarettes, and her hair and nails. Both of them terrorists, for exploiting and abusing the good will of the hard working taxpayers of this great country.

So if I balance my checkbook and don’t write bad checks am I a terrorist?

Well at least its readership is aghast judging by the comments there:

http://www.politico.com/news/stories/0711/60202.html#comments

“Politico has truly lost its mind. Un- frickin-believable.”

“Democrats think that anyone who doesn’t agree with them and their policy’s are “terrorists”. That was the same excuse Saddam Hussein gave for gassing thousands of villagers. If any group has a terrorist mentality – it is the Democrat party.”

“Really? This article just serves to illustrate that when a Democrat has nothing of value to say, they often resort to name calling and demonizing. I can’t believe I wasted 30 seconds responding to this article.”

“The British oppressors also called those who resisted them “terrorists”. We call them Patriots and in the end it was the British oppressors who lost that fight.”

Its encouraging to see that there is a broad swathe of society moving towards sanity.

I’m not a tweeterer (I’m a lover), but if I did tweet, I’d want to ask:

“If many on the left consider foreign terrorists to be ‘another man’s freedom fighters,’ why can’t they extend that overly-gracious interpretation to their fellow Americans?”

LukeHandCool (whose twit may be a few characters too long).

“Washington Is Annoyed at Wall Street’s Failure to Panic”

This sort of doesn’t give you the “warm and fuzzies.” Imagine elements of the federal government wanting the markets to “panic.”

If the Left’s opinion of me mattered, I might be upset at all the names I’m being called.

But it doesn’t, and I’m not.

It’s the end of July and most people are enjoying their summers while these clowns are frothing at the mouth.

Let ’em scream. It’s all they have in their pathetic lives.

H. L. Mencken: “The whole aim of practical politics is to keep the populace alarmed (and hence clamorous to be led to safety) by menacing it with an endless series of hobgoblins, all of them imaginary.”

Sound familiar to the current impasse? Obama wishes to lead the country to safety into the loving embrace of the the liberal fold. Not to worry, your checks will be mailed on time, the Fed is printing up the money as needed, it’s called wealth creation Democrat style. That’s if you call worthless paper wealth. This is the transformative change promised by Obama. The country clambers for the security of their government checks, Obama offers it to them with a tax increase to pay for his new healthcare program.
