Angle Leads In Nevada If “Leaners” Included

Rasmussen (h/t HotAir) now shows Sharron Angle tied with Harry Reid:

The latest Rasmussen Reports telephone survey of Likely Voters in the state shows Democratic Senator Harry Reid and his Republican challenger Sharron Angle tied with 47% of the vote each. Five percent (5%) prefer some other candidate, and two percent (2%) are undecided.

Two weeks ago, Reid held a two-point advantage over Angle.

The big news, though, is if “leaners” are included, Angle is in the lead and is on the cusp of an absolute majority:

When leaners are included in the new totals, Angle attracts 50% of the vote, while Reid picks up 48%. This is the first Rasmussen Reports Election 2010 survey in Nevada to include leaners. Leaners are those who initially indicate no preference for either of the candidates but answer a follow-up question and say they are leaning towards a particular candidate.

Put this new poll together with relatively neutral coverage of the race from The NY Times, and the Vaporizer must be fuming.

The Reid campaign needs to dig harder, like this:

Doug Mataconis over at Outside the Beltway has been on an "Angle is a kook tear" as well …

I guess he needs the extra scratch he must be getting from Harry …

Reid Jr. isn't doing so well. Given that his father has no (or negative) coat tails, I don't think Dad should be feeling all that lucky at this point.

Everyone has to remember that this race cannot be close on Election Day. If it is, the Democrats will steal the election like they did Norm Coleman's seat.
