Biden Commits To Saving Hamas, Will Cut Off Offensive Weapons To Israel If It Enters Rafah

Biden Commits To Saving Hamas, Will Cut Off Offensive Weapons To Israel If It Enters Rafah

“we’re not gonna supply the weapons and the artillery shells used that have been used” – Hamas immediately hardens hostage negotiating position

We reported earlier how Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin confirmed earlier reports of a a ‘pause’ in almost $1 billion in weapons shipments to Israel over its plans to invade Rafah, Hamas’ last stronghold where it’s remaining leadership and battalians are located, along with the hostages. Hamas has been firing rockets from Rafah, and killed four Israeli soldiers at a border crossing used to ship humanitarian aid.

In a CNN interview today, Biden went even further. He threatened that if Israel entered Rafah, the U.S. will halt all offensive weapons supplies to Israel, incuding bombs and artillary shells.

(full interview here)

If Hamas survives in Rafah, it wins the war and gets to reconstitute itself for the future attacks it has promised. Biden is trying to save Hamas.

So are an increasing number of Democrats.

Dear God

“I think he has been wrong on nearly every major foreign policy and national security issue over the past four decades.” Robert Gates

That was BEFORE Afghanistan, Ukraine and now his support of Hamas.

The effects are worse than ever before.

Biden is a cruel, corrupt man, at EVERY turn.

I know I’m a dreamer, but I would LIKE to think that perhaps Israel had enough warning of this that they were able to stockpile sufficient munitions to finish the job and that Joe can have his little publicity stunt (in an attempt to hold Michigan) with no actual benefit to Hamas.

This ‘final battle’ for Rafah is not going to be fought by smart munitions, but by foot soldiers fighting in streets and tunnels.

I hope, and think, you are correct.
It always comes down to one guy with a rifle going up against another guy with a rifle.
Entirely possible the Saudis and Jordanians may front them sufficient precision munitions to allow the IAF to take out targets.

And yet … couple weeks ago two countries announced they had been able to “scrounge” about a million artillery rounds apiece from “gray markets.”

The Brandon Administration’s been playing the two parallel conflicts off against each other for postioning internationally and for the election.

The only mistake you can make is to be insufficiently cynical.

Is he really pandering to the muslim voters? After all there are more muslims than jews in the US, aren’t there?
Is he trying to prolong this disaster as long as possible, ie., till the elections in an effort to demonstrate how ‘forceful’ and in control he is?
Israel need to do what it needs to do now and put an end to this for good.

One takeaway from this is: with an ally like the US who needs enemies?

I hate Hamas as much as anyone here, but the offensive weapons that
Biden is “pausing” are 2,000 pound bombs that would destroy several city blocks where you live. Israel never had any intention of using such bombs.

Lol. Where do you read this garbage? The Mk84 (the base bomb of most of our 2K-lb JDAM variants) contains <1K-lb of Tritonel (or a couple other composite bomb materials) which is just a bit more (about 20% more) explosive than TNT…so roughly the equivalent of 1,100-lbs of TNT, give or take. How big of an explosion is that. Well, for some reference, the 48K-lb ANFO bomb detonated at the Murrah Building in OKC was the equivalent of 4K-lbs of TNT…so, obviously not enough to 'destroy several city blocks.'

And this what the Palestinians always do; when they have an Obama type in office, they sit back, kill Jews, make demands and collect US money. Remember Obama called Abbas as one of his first duties as president, and burned the US Israel relationship to the ground. So Biden’s handlers do the same. They have blood on their hands from October 7th already, since the supplied Iran and therefore Hamas with the weaponry. Why should they care if Hamas continues to collect more of our tax payer dollars. On top of all this stupidity, his actions still won’t be enough to win over the Hamas wing of his party, short of going on TV and calling Israel an apartheid state that needs to be destroyed; and then dropping a few nukes, he has no credibility with these haters, and never will. Their level of hate can not be reasoned with or appeased since it is completely illogical and based on a total dehumanization of Jews. No one step will be enough, more and more will keep being demanded. But of course these morons think they know better. And here we go around again in the same old violent cycle of blame the Jew for all the worlds problems, and then hate them for not needing you because we already saw this coming.

    Excellent comment!

    Obama’s Cairo speech.

Obama-Biden backed Morsi and the Muslim Brotherhood. After Morsi was installed, the MB seized the Nile wheat harvest. Immediately following that, the MB expropriated all bakeries in Alexandria. By controlling bread production and distribution, the staple of food of Alexandrians, Morsi could control the population.

Obama backed the food for fascism play.

Then el-Sisi mounted a coup. The Obama crew and news media literally blew a gasket. By the way -Samantha Power was mixed up in all of it – and she now controls USAID.

They’re incapable of learning. BUT, as we watch concessions from Brandon and the Screaming D’s never be enough, “we” can learn that that no concessions will ever be enough.

The pro-Hamas protesters, faculty, administrators and supporters are a substantial blue voting block. Biden has a choice of whether to support these opposing blue voting groups: pro-Israel or pro-Hamas. He has, quite outrageously, coddled the Hamas terrorists. Evidently Biden believes that the pro-Israel group will vote uniformly Dem in November, regardless.

MarkS in reply to Socratease. | May 9, 2024 at 3:27 am

    It’s always different with Democrats

Easy. Trump did not withhold military aid to an ally during open hostilities. He put a temporary pause on approved military aid to Ukraine at the request of the State Department since Ukraine had just gone through a leadership change and State wanted to make sure the money didn’t just flow into a new corrupt bureaucrat. At the same time, and NOT linked to the delay, he asked the new leadership of Ukraine to assist in the corruption investigation of a US bureaucrat who had *admitted* to strongarming Ukraine into firing an investigator who was looking into his son’s criminal behavior. In short, Biden did what they accuse Trump of doing, and which Trump didn’t do.

Whatever happened to flooding the tunnels? This would minimize civilian casualties and maximize Hamas’ ones. It would also reduce the need for munitions.

If Hamas remains intact, they win the war and it will be repeated again and again. Israel cannot win a conventional war for survival when opposed by the US, Iran, and the terrorist groups that they sponsor. They cannot win a conventional war, so we are pushing them towards an unconventional strategy. We are not going to like the result of that.

The Democrat regime has achieved new lows—betraying an ally in multiple ways. First, by negotiating a bogus cease fire deal behind Israel’s back and allowing Hamas to claim (at least briefly) it accepted it. Second, by cutting off arms to Israel—including precision weapons. This forces Israel to use less accurate conventional weapons, thus enhancing the Hamas propaganda opportunities. Finally, the Democrat regime adopted Hamas rhetoric to justify its treachery. Every decent American should be ashamed.

That’s retarded. For you, there is no history … like a typical leftist NPC moron.

Of course, under the Abraham Accords, things in the middle east had done a complete 180 from decades of fruitless American efforts … Trump managed to take the fakestnians off of the table in peace discussions between Israel and its neighbors. But, of course, the first thing Traitor Joe did when he cheated his way into the Oval Office was to totally f**k up the Abraham Accords and squarely put the fakestinians back as the central focus. That, and Traitor Joe’s revitalizing Iran’s bank account, led directly to all of the problems today.

Also, ponder the hypocritical gall of Biden’s threat to cut off arms to Israel, after having given a totally perfunctory and pro forma speech regarding the Holocaust, a few days ago. Biden pays lip service to the notion of “never again,” out of one side of his greasy mouth, while, out of the other side of his mouth, he regurgitates Hamas propaganda, unfairly vilifies the IDF, and, gives succor, sustenance, deference and moral legitimacy to the vile and evil goose-stepping, genocidal Islamofascists and Muslim supremacists who are the spiritual predecessors/successors to German National Socialists.

Which is evidence that Israel has been way too concerned with Gaza “civilian” collateral damage. These “civilians” elected Hamas terrorists to govern, kept them in power, cheered every attack on Israel civilians prior to 10/7, reveled in the 10/7 atrocities—dancing in the streets and spitting on Israeli hostages, rape victims, and murdered. Gazans brought whatever happens on themselves and their children. Why should decent people care more about them and their children than they do. Humanitarian aid comes after unconditional surrender.

How about the idea of flooding the tunnels with water? Even better, how about flooding the tunnels with natural gas and lighting a match?

If those ideas are too much for the squeamish, how about turning off the outside air fans and tossing a few hundred angry skunks into the tunnels?
.

For every complicated problem, there is a solution that is simple, direct, and completely wrong. Merely *talking* about flooding the tunnels and doing some minor flooding of one tunnel with publicity drove a large number of the terrorists out into the open without contaminating the groundwater or running the risk of drowning hostages, so win/win.

Outrageous and makes Biden into another Neville Chamberlain who thought appeasement good policy. All this likely for the Muslim vote in Michigan and other states. Congress passed aid to Israel and appropriated funds. When Nixon would not spend appropriated funds Congress passed a law stripping the president of the right to withhold directed spending. Depending on the wording of the aid package,Biden’s withholding of the aid may be direct violation of a federal statute. When will Jewish leaders tell Biden that he is about to lose the Jewish vote in PA and MI.? Appears he has chosen Muslims over Jews and enemies over allies.

I think it is a huge departure from Joe Biden’s past, to imagine he thinks this latest move is good policy. So, what changed his mind?

Put another way, we know he’s amenable to 10%. The question is, 10% of what, paid by whom, when, and by what means?

I expect this will remain a CIA secret for as long as, say, the last of the Kennedy assassination papers.

Our (Judeo-Christian) Bible states: Deuteronomy 5:17
“‘Thou shall not murder.”

The Muslim Quran/Korans states:: Surah 9:5:
“Then kill the disbelievers (non-Muslims) wherever you find them,
capture them and besiege them,
and lie in wait for them in each and every ambush.

And why should we NOT be Islamophobic??

At this point, ANY country that has economic, industrial, or military ties with the United States government needs to be seriously re-examining such ties due to the ever greater likelihood that said government will betray them, even if formal allies and even in time of open war.

1) They need to reduce their financial ties with the US, their holdings in US government securities, and their investments inside the US. Also, limit what US investments they allow in their own country.

2) If their economy is dependent on US imports, especially as components for their own exports; they need to seek alternate sources and as much self-sufficiency as possible.

3) If their military is dependent on US logistics or production, they need to seek alternate sources or self-sufficiency.

Short form, the United States Government is not a dependable ally in any field unless you are a totalitarian state. The Left has made it so; and our own eventual recovery, if it should happen, will be greatly helped if parts of the world are free from US Government compulsion.
