MSNBC’s Nicolle Wallace Suffers Massive Drop in Ratings Since January

The post-Trump media environment has been rough on several people, but MSNBC’s Nicolle Wallace is watching her ratings sink like a stone.

As a former George W. Bush official and McCain 2008 campaign adviser, Wallace is part of the never-Trump Republican cabal now cheered by the left for working against the GOP.

It’s satisfying to watch her viewership implode.

Joseph Simonson reports at the Washington Free Beacon:

MSNBC’s Nicolle Wallace Walloped By Ratings Nosedive

Few cable hosts have suffered more from President Donald Trump leaving office than MSNBC’s Nicolle Wallace.

According to analytics provided by Nielsen Media Research, Wallace’s 4 p.m. show Deadline: White House has seen a nearly 80 percent drop in viewership since January 2021 in the critical 25-54 demographic. At the end of May, just 147,000 non-geriatrics above the age of 25 tuned into her two-hour MSNBC program per day.

Although Wallace has worked hard to channel her previous experience as a White House press secretary into her role as an unofficial spokesperson for the Democratic Party, the results have been abysmal with a Democrat in the White House. Her total viewership in the month of May is less than half of her total viewership in January.

During the Trump years, Wallace’s bizarre conduct—she once compared the firing of U.S. intelligence officials to the Holocaust and confused the sound of a soda can opening on air with gun shots—paid off handsomely.

Wallace is working hard to remain appealing to her progressive MSNBC viewers, maybe too hard. This is embarrassing to watch:

Wallace is not alone. Ratings at MSNBC and CNN began to crater back in March and haven’t improved since.

The only person possibly faring as badly as Wallace is CNN’s, Brian Stelter.

Brian Flood reports at FOX News:

CNN’s Brian Stelter draws smallest audience of 2021 as ‘Reliable Sources’ gets crushed by ‘MediaBuzz’

CNN’s “Reliable Sources” with Brian Stelter has failed to attract one million viewers for 11-straight weeks and averaged only 752,000 on Sunday for its smallest audience of 2021.

Stelter, who claims to cover the media industry but often ignores stories that would tarnish the reputation of a fellow liberal, lost five percent of his viewers compared to the previous week. The struggling show has now finished with less than 800,000 viewers on three different occasions in 2021.

Fox News’ “MediaBuzz,” which is Stelter’s direct timeslot competition, averaged 1.1 million viewers to beat the struggling CNN show by a whopping 41 percent. Fox News aired 12 different programs on Sunday alone that attracted a larger audience than “Reliable Sources.”…

“Reliable Sources” has now failed to attract even 200,000 viewers among the crucial demographic of adults age 25-54 for 10-straight weeks. Sunday’s episode was seen by only 129,000 viewers among the key demo, which was the show’s third-worst performance of the year in the category most important to advertisers. “MediaBuzz” averaged 185,000 demo viewers to beat “Reliable Sources” by 43 percent.

Trump was the best thing that ever happened to these propagandists.

Now, they’re circling the drain—what a shame.

Not a shame. The only one who cares is mark311.

I really don’t care, what the article doesn’t mention is that the drop in viewer figures is across the board. None of the networks cited are ones I read particularly.

I’m not overly convinced the US has any main stream journalists, tends to be more niche programmes.

Fairly sure if you tuned in every day you’d still find a lot of Trump mentions and even coverage at times. They’ll never give it/him up until they find an equal or better boogeyman. Which is never.

Ratings caving = fatigue by viewers. Haters can only take so much dopamine and adrenaline. Then they need a break.

If you still have cable they’re still making money.

To repeat an oft used saying: Karma’s a bitch!

Most of the media “Conservatives” just play one on TV.

It’s interesting how many officials in the GWB administration turned out to be globalists, neverTrumpers, and closet Democrats.

And how now how poorly most of them are faring…

That’s because GWB picked people who were like himself. I remember his little brother JEB, “My Daddy was president. My big brother was president. And now it’s my turn, right Mama?”

And when his Mama found out Trump was trying to block their family dynasty she went beserk.

I think when Trump called Jeb low energy was exactly when I really started to like him a lot. I was so sick of the Bushes at that point.

Trump did us a favor by exposing the Globalists. Remember the expression “you will be made to choose” which is what the left has been telling us. I choose the Conservative option and it’s not Nicole.

Trump made these people and now that Trump is no longer in the White House they are fading back into well deserved irrelevance and obscurity. Somehow I have no sympathy for them.

Nicole who? I was forced to watch her one day at a relatives house. It was a chilling experience. I heard more lies and distortions coming out of her boring mouth on an hour long show than Joe and Mika can spout in three hours.

That’s nice.
