Elizabeth Warren howls over Trump replacement of U.S. Attorneys
Predictable for someone who fancies herself leader of “the resistance”
Elizabeth Warren knows that both Obama and Bill Clinton dismissed U.S. attorneys after taking office. Yet she’s preparing to go to war over Trump doing it. Warren is just doing what she always does best. Playing to the far left base of her party.

The progressive senator Elizabeth Warren accused Donald Trump of firing a prominent prosecutor to install “cronies” , warning on Sunday of “a massive fight” in the Senate over his picks for new US attorneys.
On Saturday, Trump fired Preet Bharara, the US attorney of the southern district of Manhattan, where the prosecutor had pursued corruption cases against members of both the Republican and Democratic parties. In November, Bharara met with Trump and his nominee for attorney general, Jeff Sessions, and said he had “agreed to stay on” after conversations with both.
But on Friday afternoon, Sessions abruptly ordered 46 prosecutors, nearly all appointees of Barack Obama, to resign “effective immediately”. Bharara refused to resign and was fired, saying in a brief public statement: “One hallmark of justice is absolute independence, and that was my touchstone every day that I served.”…
Warren said the president “wants people like AG Sessions, a loyalist who lied to the Senate about meeting with the Russians”, alluding to Session’s failure, under oath, to disclose his own conversations with the ambassador.

Warren Vows Obstruction of Trump U.S. Attorneys
Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.) promised to use President Donald Trump’s firing of a U.S. attorney in New York Saturday as a launching pad for a “massive fight” with a renewed series of Democrat-led political obstruction during a Twitter tirade Sunday.
The progressive Massachusetts senator was reacting to the firing of federal prosecutor Preet Bharara Saturday after Bharara refused to submit his resignation. The call for Bharara’s resignation came Friday when Attorney General Jeff Sessions asked 46 of the remaining U.S. attorneys appointed by former President Barack Obama to submit their resignations. Every new presidential administration appoint new candidates to fill at least some of the 93 U.S. attorney districts nationwide.
This is nothing more than naked politics. Warren sees herself a leader of the “resistance” movement on the left.
She sees this as an opportunity, nothing more.

US Attorneys “serve at the pleasure of the President” which means they can be replaced for any or no reason at all. Nearly all political appointees are like that, something which the Left forgets about every time a Republican goes into the White House.

Every President asks for the resignation of all political appointees, including U.S. Attorneys, when they take office. The last three Democrats to hold that office (Carter, Clinton, and Obama) did precisely the same thing! No one heard any war chants – err, howls of outrage – when that happened.
This is nothing more nor less than Fauxcahontas trying to position herself for the Dem nomination in 2020; however, if she doesn’t stop with the faux outrage over insubstantial puffery she may not make it. (On the other hand, I never expected someone with Hillary’s baggage to make it either!)

Senator Warren depends on the stupid and people with short memories, as do most liberals.
At times, the fact that Senators like Warren, Murray, Boxer and Obama were elected makes me question this form of government. This is a select group of 100. Patty Murray is one of the senior Senators. Think about that for a while. Leadership used to be a desirable trait in a select group of, well, leaders. What happened?
Makes me glad that I am old and will not see the consequences.

Although there’s no evidence that Warren’s terribly bright, she’s certainly not so stupid that she believes that there’s a shred of substance to all this. That is, she knows as well as anybody that it’s all theatre.
So, why wallow in theatre? Is it evidence that the D’rats consider the American Experiment to be in the “bread and circuses” phase of its decline, and the theatrics are part of the circus act?
Or, more likely, is it just a sign that Lieawatha is electioneering … positioning herself as the Press’s “go-to” person for outrageous Progressive/Socialist commentary on the news of the day?
If so, what is she running for? Does she suspect that her position for the 2018 election is weak? Not even Massachusetts would consider her a “force for good” … about all she does is screech and obstruct. So she’ll have to try to turn that into her signature virtue.
But even then, her performance is weak. So she’ll do her best to block Trump’s nominees because … something about cleaning out the old Dem planted moles in the AG offices. But so what? She was planning to obstruct everything anyway. Her outrage knobs are already turned up to “11”—she can’t even pretend that they’ll go any higher.

I was under the impression that the President can do exactly that. For that exact reason, people demand special prosecutors; once, they demanded independent counsels. Also, Congressional investigations and impeachment. But career prosecutors? Ah, yes, Presidents can shut down investigations by firing them. How is that news?
Warren’s gig is getting old and worn out. She is a pathetic, sorry and incorrigible hag. Her responses are so predictable and she actually believes her constituents are buying her exaggerated rhetoric. I know a lot of liberals in MA who are embarrassed by her actions and say they want her primarried out next cycle.
It’s amazing how easily she lies. I know most of the liberals lie to further their agenda, but her ability to speak out of both sides of her mouth is amazing. I’d hate to be her husband you would honestly never know if she was getting ready for a divorce.

Elizabeth Warran is a lawyer, who has been involved in politics at the national level. Sh either knows, or should know, that turnover of political appointees is routine when the Presidency changes hands. That fact has even been reported recently by the various Democrat-controlled media!
So, why is she sacrificing her credibility with this hysteria? I had thought she was at least a competent lawyer who followed politics. Now I wonder if she has some sort of obligation to somebody stupid.
In many ways, the Clinton Campaign and the DNC ran stupid campaigns, that is, campaigns based on easily-exposed, outright lies, that backfired repeatedly. One of the Vanderbilt heirs laid this failure at the feet of John Podesta.

I doubt Warren is considered a very good politician by anybody. She is trying to appeal to a small part of the Democratic Party and even a smaller segment of the electorate. She is painting herself into a corner she will never be able to escape. She may well end up losing the Mass Democratic primary. Few people respect her.
