Campaign Strategist Scarborough Advises Hillary: Refuse to Answer Email Questions

Time to “move on”?

A few days ago, we reported on “Dr.” Joe Scarborough declaring that Hillary Clinton “doesn’t have” any health issues. On today’s Morning Joe, Scarborough took off his neurologist’s hat and put on the campaign consultant’s cap. Scarborough’s advice to Hillary: refuse to answer any more questions about her emails. According to Joe, Clinton should put her answer up on her website, refer journalists to it any time they try to probe her on the matter, and “move on” to a discussion of Syria.

Mike Barnicle echoed Scarborough’s “move on” advice, suggesting Hillary say that if people are still concerned about her email, they should just vote for “Bozo the Clown.” To his credit, Mark Halperin dissented from Scarborough’s advice, saying that there are “many new questions” that have been raised about Hillary’s email that she still needs to answer.

JOE SCARBOROUGH: I think at this point, it’s almost in court you would say “asked and answered.” I think at this point Hillary Clinton needs to say she made a mistake. She made a mistake. We’ve talked about this a lot. I made a mistake. I talked about it. And you can certainly see it out there. In fact, there’s a statement up on my website explaining how I would never do it again. Now, let’s talk about what really matters and that is Syria. The fact that there right now is what is approaching a holocaust going on in Syria, which is disrupting the Middle East, which is disrupting our allies in Europe, which is coming to America and disrupting America. There is a refugee crisis unprecedented since the end of World War II.

And yes, I would like to talk about a home-brewed server in Chappaqua, New York for the next ten years. Unfortunately, the world’s on fire. I apologize, I made a mistake. But I’m sorry, if people want to talk about email servers for the next four years, vote for Donald Trump. I’m going to try to figure out how to bring peace to Syria. I’m going to try to keep terrorism off the shores of the United States and I’m going to worry about the things that Americans are worried about. Listen, when she explains, she loses. She’s been explaining this now for a very long time. She needs a quick answer and she needs to move on.

. . .

MIKE BARNICLE: Unfortunately for her she’s been in this business for 30, 40, 50 years. And she’s incapable, as Joe is saying right now, of looking into the camera and saying, look it, if you’re sitting out there in Cleveland Heights, Ohio, and you have two kids in high school and you’re worried about those kids and their futures as well as your own economic future, and you think my e-mails are the most critical priority or the critical issue that we’re facing as a country, then vote for my opponent Bozo the Clown, and just move on.

. . .

MARK HALPERIN: In sitting here listening, letting you all make the case for that, I think maybe as a case of pure political strategy that’s a good idea. As a journalist and as an American, I can’t advocate that. I can’t sit here and say yeah, that’s what she should do

MIKA BRZEZINSKI: Yeah, don’t answer.

HALPERIN: Becaue there are unanswered questions. I don’t think you can say, I’m sorry I did it and then spend time explaining why you did nothing wrong. I think that there is lots else that is important in this election. There is lot else to her record but this is something of public concern about which there are now many new questions that have been raised. I don’t want to minimize the weaknesses in Donald Trump’s performance. I don’t to minimize her other accomplishments. But I’m telling you, she has not addressed this in a head on way, and their strategy is to do exactly what you’re advocating. Apologize and move on O. She should address the questions raised by the FBI.

Say that to the ear piece!

The old “that’s old news” shtick won’t work, since news of more outrages are hemorrhaging daily; it’s new news, and she has no way to answer it or to dismiss it.

In fact, there’s a statement up on my website explaining how I would never do it again.

Is Joe suggesting that her new campaign slogan should be “Trust me”?

Well that worked for Joe with the dead intern so maybe that is good advice.

Actually, it is good advice because as the loser Joe knows every time she answers any questions about her e-mail it changes and gets even more absurd. Refusing to answer is a more plausible strategy than making up new reasons that she used her own server. Her newest one is that they didn’t have “Headers” on them! There is one of her e-mails where she actually tells one of her gofers to remove the header and send it anyway. The woman is approaching demented on the scale of human intelligence.

Maybe it’s time for someone to have the spine to repeatedly say: “You are correct, it ISN’T about the e-mails. The e-mails are just a symptom of the real problem, not the problem itself. The REAL problem is her sociopathic inability to simply tell the truth.”

Is Joe a partisan dumba$$? Asked and answered.
