Christie Endorses Trump

Christie Endorses Trump

Climber’s gonna climb

After a good ol’ fashioned whoppin’ in last night’s Republican debate. Donald Trump found a new attack dog, former presidential candidate and New Jersey Governor, Chris Christie.

I would guess Attorney General is a possibility, too.

Tough, but fair.

Your headline should be.

“Guy who hugged Obama six day before Obama’s re-election a endorses Trump”

Looks like a lot of anger from the people who love to pontificate yet are constantly shown how bad they are as experts.

Who is the libertarian candidate, anyway?

Not sure if they’ve nominated a candidate yet but it will probably be Gary Johnson, as usual.

The contest for the Libertarian nomination is between Gary Johnson (former governor of NM, who got it last time) and John McAfee (yes, the McAfee, whose name is known to almost every MS-Windows user).

HandyGandy in reply to Milhouse. | February 26, 2016 at 1:56 pm

You mean the guy who was a person of interest in a Belize murder?

Their convention is Memorial Day weekend in Orlando, FL. Hoping it’s Johnson. Very capable Republican Governor of New Mexico for eight years. The guy loves to veto spending bills. Been looking forward to voting for him for four years. Walker was the only Repub that might have captured my vote, but the current GOP field is pathetic.

I voted Libertarian in the last Florida Gubernatorial election after I couldn’t bring myself to vote for either Scott or Crist. It may come down to that in the next Presidential election as well.

Voting for the lesser of two evils has brought us to this point. I’m done prostituting my vote. Time to vote my conscience.

I would actually prefer another Clinton presidency to the Trump presidency. I don’t think they will be very different in terms of policy, but at least with Hillary we’d have united opposition.
Trump will be the death of conservatism.

Trump’s popularity suggests that conservative thinking is already dead. Conservative emotional hysteria is still alive, though. Trump said today that he wants to expand libel laws to strike back at the NYT. Guess that pesky 1st amendment needs to go. Will that statement cost him one vote? No.

Remember, windbag: “It’s always good when Trump does it! He’s a FIGHTER!!!”

Trump just sucked the news cycle winds out of Rubio’s sails.

Yep. I just wonder how long Trump has had this one in his back pocket! I’m really loving the politics of this race!

gulfbreeze in reply to Vince. | February 26, 2016 at 2:38 pm

Media reports have Trump and Christie meeting a few days ago, and Trump deciding then to hold it a few days for his campaigning in TX. This morning’s announcement was made right before Trump’s Fort Worth, TX, appearance.

So Rubio barely got 12 hours out of the only significant news coverage he’s had in a long time. I just scanned the front page headlines on my long list of websites from left to right politically, HuffPost to Fox, even NY Times front webpage, and top headlines are about the Christie endorsement. On cable, MSNBC and CNN have been covering the endorsement non-stop since the press coverage. So Rubio stopped dead in his tracks.

      Big Mo to no go.

Rubio, this morning, was starting to sound like a poor Comedy House comedian. Every sentence was a one liner. Just maybe, Christie’s announcement is a result of this, more than what happened last night.

rabidfox in reply to davod. | February 26, 2016 at 2:30 pm

I get the impression that Rubio’s intellect goes no deeper than one liners and sound bites.

Radegunda in reply to rabidfox. | February 26, 2016 at 4:36 pm

… which is still deeper than Trump’s intellect, which doesn’t go much past:
“I’m gonna make things great! You’re a loser and a liar! I’ll build a big wall! There are bad things happening! Nobody reads the Bible more than me! Nobody is less racist than me! I get my foreign-policy knowledge from TV. You’re stupid! I’ve got a young and beautiful piece of a$$, so there! And I would date my daughter if I could get away with it. And I’ve never needed to repent of anything. Ever.”

Mercyneal in reply to davod. | February 26, 2016 at 6:54 pm

Really ? Trump is all about one liners 24/7. Trump can dish it out but when attacked, underneath that frightening god-awful spray tan, he looks like a tomato about to explode!

Mercyneal in reply to gulfbreeze. | February 26, 2016 at 6:51 pm

And the publisher of the Manchester NH Union Leader came out today and says they have tape of Christie in January promising that he would NEVER endorse Trump

Northeastern liberal “republican” endorses other Northeastern liberal “republican”.

Who would have thought that would have ANY coinage a year ago?

Bless desperate his l’il donut-scented Obama-huggin’ panderin’ man-whore heart <3

Well, Christie has to do something to get out of NJ.

“Trump endorsed today by David Duke, Dennis Rodman, and Chris Christie.”

Once the Honey Boo Boo endorsement comes in we might as well call off the rest of the primaries.

Radegunda in reply to Amy in FL. | February 26, 2016 at 4:40 pm

As soon as Trump get ahead in some polls, he said “We don’t even need an election!”

Sure, let’s abolish elections — just crown the TV celebrity with the most overblown ego. After all, many Trump fans apparently want to blow up Congress. Might as well just go full-blown dictatorship, then.

This Presidential election has to be one of most insane in modern history. Oh sure, prior elections have had nut jobs and third party candidates (e.g. Perot) clutter the stage – but nothing like this.

Making sense of it has become pointless – its bizzaro world on roids. The leading GOP candidate is a 5 time party flipper, obnoxious NY Developer, and publicity craving reality TV star. His politics are (depending on the issue) somewhere to the right of Attila the Hun, or to the left of Stalin…just depends.

Trump, a super-rich hero of the lumpen proles (who hires illegals rather than American lumpens), spouts incoherent populist rhetoric on Mexicans and Muslims, while bragging about many blacks as his good friends.

In the meantime, he gets support from Tea Party lover Palin, NE liberal Scott Brown, and Tea Party target Chris Christie. And Robert Reich’s, Jimmy Carter and Bob Doles support, if Ted Cruz is the other choice. (Did I mention Huckabee’s daughter too?).

Oh…an Trump is supposed to be “anti-establishmet” (ya sure).

And now it seems Rubio and Cruz are teaming up, wisely so.

If someone can make sense out of these ideological alignments, I’d love to hear it. Is it any wonder that the GOP will make this election its last hurrah?

Barry in reply to Mark. | February 26, 2016 at 3:00 pm

“(who hires illegals rather than American lumpens),”

You are making an unfounded allegation. There is no evidence Trump has hired any illegal workers.

Your use of the word “lumpen” tells us what you think of American workers.

Radegunda in reply to Barry. | February 26, 2016 at 4:42 pm

Yes, there is, Barry. You just don’t want to see it.

Radegunda in reply to Barry. | February 26, 2016 at 4:48 pm

It’s also a matter of record that Trump has actively brought in several hundred H-2B visa holders to staff Mar-a-Lago, while turning away most of the hundreds of American applicants.

It’s a matter of record that Trump has actively brought in many foreign workers over the years. It’s a matter of record that he has his Trump-brand suits and ties made in other countries — and now he says he’ll punish others who do the same kind of outsourcing.

Trump is a rank hypocrite. How anyone could see him as more trustworthy than all the other candidates is a vast mystery.

You are as full of it as the rest of the TDS sufferers. Illegal is not the same as legal, or maybe you don’t know the difference. You don’t seem to bright, not being able to pick a candidate and all.

gulfbreeze in reply to Mark. | February 26, 2016 at 3:02 pm

And the Dem side is even crazier.

You’ve got two post-retirement age grandparents…OWPs (old white persons) that somehow have managed to become the only spokespersons of a party that’s totally obsessed with societal movements of disaffected youth, identity politics and minority/social justice warrioring. For a party that claims the superiority of inclusiveness, they can’t even find a single minority or identity to make a case for the national spotlight. Talk about an empty bench….

And one is under FBI investigation over national security secrets and the other is a Socialist.

Meanwhile the GOP has 3 of 5 candidates left that are minorities, and the GOPe can’t even effectively message that concept to the electorate.

I’d like to see Ronda Rousey take on tag team Bully Boys. She’d floor them both within a minute.

Did Robo-Rubio just get schlonged?

Wonder how much Trump paid Christie to pimp for him.

Kimberlee, the Cruzbots and all the other anti Trump piggies are all

SQUEALIN LIKE A VICENTE FOX CAUGHT BY THE HOUNDS AGAINST THE TRUMP WALL !!

TOO FUNNY. LOL

Chuck Todd says this shows Trump campaign is a juggernaught of political genius.

Trump will get endorsements from US Senators BEFORE Cruz.

Rush said yesterday he thought the Mittens attack was to try and stop a flood of endorsements.

Sessions will endorse Trump next Wednesday.

Come on Kimberlee, Professor and all the Cruzbots practice saying it with me…

PRESIDENT TRUMP

come on you can say it.

Cruz is asking for donations so he can buy the special Trump knee pads he is going to need and Rubio has a promising career lined up as a GOPe consultant for the next generation of Bush candidates.

Ooh, more fun:

National Review publishes critiques of Trump from a principled conservative standpoint – “They’re a bunch of RINO-squish sellouts! Screw ’em!”

RINO squish who’s soft on Islam endorses Trump out of personal loyalty and/or opportunism – “It proves that Trump is the real deal!

It’s such a painful day for the sufferers of TDS.

It’s going to get worse.

Christie on Trump being President: “I don’t think his temperament is suited for that and I don’t think his experience is.”

Christie on Trump’s ban on Muslims: “This is kind of thing people say when they have no experience & no idea what they’re talking about.”

That’s mr attorney general Chris Christie to you.!

Did he mention in his campaign that he used to be a Federal prosecutor?

Maine Gov. LePage, who made illegal immigration a big issue in his reelection campaign and opposed accepting Syrian refugees, endorses Trump.

Second sitting republicn governor endorses Trump today.

He’s the one who recently complained that “guys by the name D-Money, Smoothie, Shifty” bring heroin to Maine and “half the time they impregnate a young, white girl before they leave.”

He was probably more influenced by David Duke‘s recent endorsement of Trump than by Chris Christie’s.

So are you saying he’s wrong and that it isn’t guys named D-money and smoothie, etc. bringing in the heroin and other drugs to his state and that they aren’t leaving extra girls with babies on welfare when they leave town to get more drugs ??

Do you think it is a bunch of guys from sweeden bringing the drugs in from Mexico to his state ??

He ran and was reelected by the people of his state because the citizens of his state know what they experience in their communities. Are you saying the entire state of Maine are all David Dukes ??

Trump Derangement Syndrome spreading like wild fire!

“Bitter hatred is a dangerous emotion: It destroys one’s objectivity and judgment. When journalists become true haters, the results can be cringe-worthy.”

One can imagine the transports of ecstasy that Ann “Boy! Can SHE pick ’em” Coulter has been experiencing…!!!

Her two favorite NE liberal “republicans” on the same page! Or at least lying that they are…

Former Arizona Gov. Jan Brewer endorsed GOP frontrunner Donald Trump for president on Saturday.

Brewer stated she believes Trump will secure the border:

http://www.breitbart.com/big-government/2016/02/27/former-arkansas-gov-jan-brewer-endorses-donald-trump/

So that is two sitting govenors and one past governor endorsing Trump.

Ragspierre in reply to Gary Britt. | February 27, 2016 at 5:50 pm

Actually, T-rump sucker, that’s two of each flavor. You forgot Palin. But everyone seems to have forgotten Palin. Not a peep in many days…

And the two sitting governors are just NE liberal “republicans” like Mr. Establishment (Collectivist, NYC).

If I recall correctly, when Brewer went out she was pretty unpopular with conservatives. Something about ObamaDoggle…

    Meh.

Famous 1985 Bears football coach Mike Ditka endorsed Trump for President today.
