Krauthammer: Obama is Robbing the Military to Inflate the Entitlement State

“There’s nobody to back us up if we strip our military and neuter it as we do now.”

Jonathan Hendershott of the New York Post recently reported that members of our armed services, some of whom are currently serving overseas, are about to receive pink slips:

In a stunning display of callousness, the Defense Department has announced that thousands of soldiers — many serving as commanding officers in Afghanistan — will be notified in the coming weeks that their service to the country is no longer needed.

Last week, more than 1,100 Army captains — the men and women who know best how to fight this enemy because they have experienced multiple deployments — were told they’ll be retired from the Army.

On Friday evening, Charles Krauthammer appeared on Special Report with Bret Baier and explained why this is happening.

Via National Review:

The United States will “pay a high price” under the Obama administration’s plans to drawdown the army by nearly 70,000 soldiers, and is all part of an effort for the president to fulfill his ideological goals, Charles Krauthammer warned on Friday’s Special Report

“It’s robbing the military to inflate the entitlement state,” said Krauthammer. “Europe had us behind them in the last 50 years when it had no military; there’s nobody to back us up if we strip our military and neuter it as we do now.”

Of course.

Obama has to find some money to help pay for all the new welfare dependents currently flooding across our southern border.

All part of his “fundamental transformation” of our once-great nation into another corrupt, crime-ridden, socialist-run $hithole.

That’s never bothered him before; why start now?

Start…?!?! He’s been doing it since he came into power.

One of his first acts was to unilaterally abandon our space-based weapons projects.

I don’t think it has anything to do with money. Obama doesn’t care if the country is in debt or the bills paid. He has done everything within his power to harm this country while not overtly going so far that his minions in the press can’t spin his actions for the die-hard supporters. Not just the “scandals”, which themselves don’t get adequate press. It’s phenomenal subterfuge.

He’s been purging the military for a good while now of higher-level officers.

The man is so dangerous.

Obama has gutted the military at every opportunity. Treat the soldiers like crap. Treat the veterans even worse. Muzzle the chaplains. Cripple American petroleum production so the the military are stalled in their tracks.

More room for gays, trans-sexuals, etc, he figures.

Still, Obama wants to have a palace guard to protect him from the Riff Raft, you know, those crass Hoi Polloi and other such scum.

happened in Feb too w/o much attn being paid to it.

You can bet the ChiComs are carefully studying all this, too.

Why do we need a military? With Americans aborting their children at a rate of over one million annually, and being replaced by legal and illegal aliens at approximately the same rate, America is self-evidently a failed state. There is nothing to defend. We have already surrendered. This nation will be conquered through reproductive and “legal” subversion.

I can think of a good use for 70,000 former soldiers on the southern U.S. border.

Obama: “We cannot continue to rely on our military in order to achieve the national security objectives we’ve set. We’ve got to have a civilian national security force that’s just as powerful, just as strong, just as well-funded.”
Defund, deplete the military, and the various armed units of the executive branch will become a powerful internal security force de facto.
