NBC’s Chuck Todd was the interviewer who elicited Obama’s weak non-apology last Thursday. But Todd got the distinct impression that Obama “does not believe he lied” when he made those promises about keeping your plan and keeping your doctor, period. Todd adds:
I thought what was revealing in that answer, when I asked him that direct question about this, was this a political lie that you started to believe it, was he talked about well, you know, it turns out we had trouble in crafting the law.
John Nolte at Breitbart finds that “bordering on pathological,” in light of the almost overwhelming evidence that Obama knew very well that what he said would turn out to be untrue:
Obama’s brazen and reckless lying is bad enough. But if Todd is correct (and I think he is) that Obama doesn’t believe or understand that he lied, that means it can and will happen again.
It’s not difficult to predict that it will happen again, because this is hardly the first time it has happened. But in order to understand what’s going on here, it helps to understand that Obama is a man of the left, and that he is demonstrating the tried-and-true leftist practice known as doublethink, as described by George Orwell in his masterpiece Nineteen Eighty-Four.
Orwell wrote that “doublethink” requires:
To know and not to know, to be conscious of complete truthfulness while telling carefully constructed lies…to forget whatever it was necessary to forget, then to draw it back into memory again at the moment when it was needed, and then promptly to forget it again: and above all, to apply the same process to the process itself. That was the ultimate subtlety: consciously to induce unconsciousness, and then, once again, to become unconscious of the act of hypnosis you had just performed.
Obama has been caught in a lie so obvious, egregious, and important that he may sense, perhaps for the first time in his life, that he’s in big trouble. So if he’s incapable of sincerely fessing up, what else can he do? Create a narrative and hope that by doing so he can revise history. If he says it often enough, he can create a new truth for enough people that it gets him off the hook. It helps to believe that truth is merely relative—although videotape makes that a bit harder to pull off than it used to be.
Obama is also cuing politicians and pundits on his side, giving them talking points for their public appearances. He’s expecting them to exercise doublethink and get with the program, although Obama’s face and body language do not convey confidence in this approach, unlike his demeanor in the past.
The Soviets and their lackeys in Soviet-controlled countries would regularly revise history in order to eliminate people who had troubled them in one way or other, or to make themselves look better. Orwell further described the method:
This process of continuous alteration was applied not only to newspapers, but to books, periodicals, pamphlets, posters, leaflets, films, sound-tracks, cartoons, photographs — to every kind of literature or documentation which might conceivably hold any political or ideological significance…In this way every prediction made by the Party could be shown by documentary evidence to have been correct, nor was any item of news, or any expression of opinion, which conflicted with the needs of the moment, ever allowed to remain on record. All history was a palimpsest, scraped clean and reinscribed exactly as often as was necessary.
We have not yet come to that point under Obama. But we have taken some steps towards it when the president expects us to buy his revisionist casting of his own prior statements and knowledge about keeping your insurance and/or doctors.
Whether it works or not depends on how practiced Americans (and the MSM) are in the art of doublethink, and how many are paying attention.

Any one of those scandals would have driven past presidents’ approval numbers (job and otherwise) into the teens, if not the single digits. And yes, I’m also including prior Democrat presidents. If he wasn’t black, the media would have given up on Barry at this point. The fear of the charge of racism is most profound among the Left.
This man has lied to people since his youth. Drugs, Homosexual relationships. That he’s never been Muslim. That he is/is not a foreign student. The transmogrification of his name. Etc. Even before his presidential lying.
And the major media ignored all of it.
Why would he think this would be different. But for the unexpected website disaster, he fully expected that the media would be full of heart-warming stories about how wonderful it is that this or that sick or poor person now has “health care” and be ignoring everything else.
History is full of liars and scoundrels. And lying scoundrels. Obo the Clown is just another in a long list.

Actually, the Dems have bought time with the rollout disaster, because the website is the least of their troubles. It is the information contained in the website; the sticker shock–the lack of affordable plans, and the inappropriateness of the coverage offered. The doubling and tripling of monthly premiums along with astronomical deductibles is a rape of the people–on several levels.
He is a narcissist and a pathological liar. The reason why he gets away with it, is due to the complicit behavior of the malignant media. They’re foot soldiers in the socialist/communist army.

Here is an experiment. Talk politics at a mixed social event in any major city in the US. You will quickly find you would have better luck if the people involved spoke different languages.
Most of my acquaintances love the lies and detest truth or reality right now. They believe the planet is warming because of capitalism or globalism, they believe Obama and his ilk will make their lives better, they believe Marxism (to each according to their need, from each according to their ability) even though they don’t call it that is superior to capitalism, they believe men are inherently bad and women superior, they believe progressive politics are making the lives of black Americans better, they believe population control is superior to families, they believe environmentalism (turning human food into fuel, hauling garbage hundreds of miles, recycling EVERYTHING no matter the cost, creating bogus energy solutions that consume more energy than they create, curtailing the flow of energy to society) is a cardinal virtue whose opposition are hopelessly evil, they worship the sustainable except where economics are involved, they think debt and borrowing can increase forever, they think government can create wealth, they think the per cent of GDP the government can control “sustainably” is infinite, they think if they are passive pacifists they will triumph over evil, they think a multicultural makeover of the armed forces will make us safer or at least morally superior, and they think a neo-Marxist revision of history is the truth.
They also think they’re much smarter than you.
Well, they’ve succeeded in pulling this off for 7 years.

Think of what obama will do to our once-great country in the next 3 years. his efforts to destroy America will ramp up steeply after next year’s midterms, and he will shoot for the moon after the November 2016 elections. The last 3 months of his presidency will be the wildest ride ever.

So right off the bat in Chuck Todd’s interview Obama lies, he says: “I meant what I said. And we worked hard ta try to make sure that we implemented it properly.”
But now that I write it out myself I think what did he say? When I first heard it I thought he was saying, we worked hard to keep my promise, which seems to be a lie.
Or he is talking about two different things:
he meant what he said – To know and not to know, to be conscious of complete truthfulness while telling carefully constructed lies.
And how they worked hard to implement it.
His entire life was a well crafted LIE! Everything he has done, everything he wanted to do and everything he thinks he has accomplished is a LIE. Of course he doesn’t believe he lied. At some point he will have to face the fact that HE is nothing but a LIE!
It’s clear Obama is a liar, but it’s also true that he isn’t particularly bright.
Remember back in the first presidential campaign, when he was on the stump telling that story about how he once had a fender-bender accident in Chicago when he was living there after graduating from Harvard? Obama used the story to try and illustrate what “bad apples” insurance companies are, but what the story really illustrated was how ignorant Obama was (and is) about how insurance actually works.
Obama told how he called his insurance company to find out when he could expect to receive a check for the damage to his car. The claims adjuster had to explain to Obama that his inexpensive insurance policy was a liability-only policy, and did not cover collision damage to his vehicle. Obama fumed that this was a rip off! How dare his liability-only policy not cover collision damage!
Apparently Obama believes that if a person pays premiums to an insurer, then the insurer is obligated to pay for any claim the insured makes, regardless of the actual terms of the insurance contract, and regardless of whether the insured has complied with the terms. For example, Barry was outraged that his mother’s disability insurer would not pay her disability claim, even though she had apparently failed to disclose her cancer diagnosis on her application. The fact that his mother had signed the disability insurance application knowing that it was false didn’t bother Barry; his mother had paid premiums and in Barry’s simple mind, that was all that mattered. The fact that the insurer never would have issued his mother the policy if his mother had disclosed the truth about her cancer, as the application required her to do, didn’t factor into Barry’s thinking. She had paid premiums, and therefore it just wasn’t “fair” for the insurance company to deny her claim.
I don’t know if Obama’s “you can keep your policy” lie was the result of deliberate deception, or just another consequence of his astonishing ignorance, or perhaps some combination of the two. It probably doesn’t even matter, since the end result will be the same.
His story about his dying mother getting screwed over by her health insurer was a lie also because he conflated health insurance with disability or sick pay insurance which she never bothered to buy while she was well. She submitted a fraudulent application after she knew she was very ill and came back to the US to get medical treatment. It was denied. He sent a pissy letter to the insurer (Harvard Law graduate doubletalk and threats) of which the insurer replied to buzz off. This was a open attempted insurance scam by his mother! It is obvious that he knows very little about anything and much less than the average adult. Simple concepts seem beyond him.
I don’t think “voting for the bill” first, to “find out what is in it” later was what the Founding Fathers had in mind when they wrote the constitution.
Actually, it is supposed to be the other way around. The Fathers meant to protect the People, and the Union, from that “I know what’s best for you” attitude that bozos like Nancy Pelosi and Barack Obama constantly rub on our faces and shove down our throats.
We could forget/ignore what an abject failure this law is. It was passed based on lies and deception. It was passed by using cheap cheating tricks. “It is not a tax,” but the only reason the SCOTUS let it stand is because it is a tax.
Obamacare should be repealed because it was passed against the will and the best interests of the people of the United States. Yeah, and also because it is an despicable failure.
Something has to be done to make sure something like this never happens again. If it takes amending the Constitution, so be it. If it takes impeachment and imprisoning, so be it.
Sadly those who follow Obama by force or not; are either afraid or ignorant of the fact he or others like him will get rid them just as easily as he would a perceived enemy. They are all enemies to him to abuse and use as he wants. Unfortunately, PR will be there to help him.
As soon as I began to juxtapose Obama biography with what he was saying about his family on the campaign trail in 2007 and 2008 my alarm bells jangled. Emotionally abused and abandoned children cope by engaging in fantasy. The child rationalizes the abandonment with a fable the the parents aren’t their because they are out doing great things. The child then fantasizes that some day the missing parents will come back. rescue them and carry the child off to a wonder world. In Obama’s case the abandonment was compounded by pressure from both absentee parents that their son must do well in school and become an important person. Obama’s grandiose comments about his mother and father’s romance as it related to the American civil rights movement and his father’s life in Kenya where still the stuff of childhood fantasy. Children who have adjusted to a rotten childhood learn to make statements that walk the line between public dishonor of parents and the rewriting of history.
After the election that alarm began to clang at five alarm volume when I read about a frustrating meeting Francis Cardinal George, then chairman of th US Catholic Conference of Bishops had with Obama early in his first year in office. The President kept insisting that he and the Cardinal George had no substantive differences on the issue of abortion. Cardinal George was at a loss with how to deal with this obvious disconnect with reality.
We have three and a quarter dangerous years remaining under the President who lives in a world of self serving fantasies.
ObamaCare was a project from the Totalitarian Left from the beginning.

Creating a new “right” that required them to threaten us with punishment if we did not exercise has nothing to do with freedom, just the opposite. Think of Pelosi and her love for ObamaCare since it will liberate people. Increasing dependence is not liberating. For Democrats and Obama, dependence on the State is liberating. Or in Orwellian terms: Freedom is Slavery and 2+2=5.
The good news is that they can’t tell us that “Work Makes Freedom” because they’ve performed so miserably on the jobs front.
If you’re an Ivy League graduate who chooses to spend all your time time doing pottery and textile art, you’re free from having to pay for your own health insurance. The cost will be picked up by hardworking, practical people who have always been paying for their own insurance and now have to pay double the price or more.

Yes, “we” are appalled by the lies of Obama. We are appalled by the man, Obama, because he is a liar.
We apply our own values, as we know them to be true, and deem deceit as a “bad” thing.
Others do not.

I’ve argued for five years against impeachment because I did not want to make a martyr out of this charlatan. Well, we’re out of time. There will be nothing left of America after three more years of Obama.

I heard an interview of a woman who knew Barry Soetoro in Hawaii. She sounded entirely credible.
She said he was known back then to be a habitual spinner of tall tales, usually designed to make himself look better. He also had a way of charming people to get what he wanted from them, then immediately turning cold when he did. In addition: he presented himself as a foreign student; everyone knew that he wasn’t interested in women; and his use of drugs was certainly not limited to dope.
Decades later, she was shocked when someone of such obviously low character popped up as a presidential candidate and went on to win.
As a matter of academic interest only, the Constitution does seem to permit removal of a president who is psychotic – as would be the case if Obama is so divorced from reality as to be unaware he is lying.
The saddest thing is; the country voted for all this.

After Katrina Senator Obama gave a speech in New Orleans to a largely black audience. He told them that should have the same waiver of the Stafford Act that FL and NY got. That they weren’t going to get it because they were black. This was a lie and Obama knew it because he had voted against granting that waiver 2 weeks earlier and this bill had passed despite his vote and was signed by the president.
The speech was not in NO I think but at a campus . He was putting on a strange thick tongued accent. Completely weird.
