House seeks more Benghazi Talking Points docs

House seeks more Benghazi Talking Points docs

Via The Hill:

House Oversight Committee Chairman Darrell Issa (R-Calif.) has subpoenaed State  Department documents related to the Benghazi talking points, according to a letter  sent to Secretary of State John Kerry obtained by The Hill.

In the letter, Issa states that the department’s  release of 100 emails earlier  this month was “incomplete.” Issa demands that Kerry produce “relevant documents  through subpoena. The enclosed subpoena covers documents and the communications  related to talking points prepared for members of the House Permanent Select  Committee on Intelligence and used by Ambassador Susan Rice during her September  16th, 2012, appearances on CBS, NBC, ABC, Fox, and CNN.”

The release of the 100 emails was a cover story, as was the absurd White House-created claim of “doctored” emails used to attack the reporting of Jonathan Karl and Stephen Hayes.

Keep digging. We don’t have the full story yet. They’re hiding something.

The most transparent administration in the history of mankind hiding something? Say it ain’t so!

Why former entrepreneur Darryl Issa is examining witnesses instead of a highly experienced trial attorney is beyond comprehension.

Agreed – it wouldn’t be very difficult to prepare a list of questions, or to pass him a note for follow-ups. The Amateur Hour nature of his hearings hurts the cause of getting to the truth.

Because that is part of the job and we do not know that he does not have a trial attorney consulting.

Why former entrepreneur Darryl Issa is examining witnesses instead of a highly experienced trial attorney is beyond comprehension.

Why my comment posted twice instead of once is beyond comprehension.

Of course they are hiding something. In all those emails, the “YouTube video” is mentioned only twice, once in a subject line and once in a passing reference to the Cairo and Tunisia demonstrations (for which it wasn’t responsible, either, both having been planned ahead to call for the release of the “Blind Sheik” terror master from a US prison).

Did Susan Rice just make it up on the spot and repeat it all day Sunday? Funny how Obama and Carney and Clinton and Nuland were all singing that same “video” song for weeks, too, eh? And STILL we have NO idea of its origin?

It’s time for the Select Committee…with an experienced prosecutor as Chief Counsel.

I’d LOVE to see Andy McCarthy, but he would likely not accept the gig.

SCANDALOUS.

ONE of the things they’re hiding, of course, is their entire foreign policy, which PRETENDS we can deal with jihadists, and they are “democratic” in any nominal sense of the term.

Like so much else about the Obamic Decline, it is based on rank delusions and anti-Americanism.

[…] Obama on the beach thought this week, with congress in recess, the scandal tide would ebb. But it is a rip tide dragging down Obama. Today on what was supposed to be the end of scandals, Darrell Issa issued subpoenas in the Benghazi scandal. Benghazi is not going away. […]

I assume that in the near future, we’ll hear and see Kerry’s version of the Benghazi song ‘n dance. It should be an interesting performance since he has nowhere the talent of the person that he replaced…
