Lend Blazing Cat Fur a hand

Lend Blazing Cat Fur a hand

In early January I wrote about the lawfare being waged against Blazing Cat Fur, the Canadian blog, Support Blazing Cat Fur.

The litigation is over, but the substantial legal bills remain.

You would be doing a good thing if you lent them a hand.

Contribute to the Blazing Cat Fur Legal Defense Fund (Paypal link in sidebar at link).  I just did, for a second time.

I’m not clear on the entire story. From the links, is a good summary that a suit brought by Mann (Section 13(1)) was successfully defeated, but now Mann’s attorney, Warman, has filed a personal libel suit? I just like to know the details whenever I make donations.

I am also a bit confused even after reading those links. I’m having a hard time finding precisely what the lawsuit is/was all about that the Canadian needs — and warrants — our American money to reimburse his Canadian Lawyers.

One of the comments from what appeared to be an actual Canadian in that previous LI post and thread linked above are none too flattering of America as well.

Yeah well – Canadians stepped right up in WW1&2 immediately.

You sat there hugging your bill of rights. That all it is – a piece of paper that can be taken away .it is not given by God either.”

Not the worst thing ever said to disparage the USA and Americans — but it certainly doesn’t make me feel all warm and fuzzy about sending my American money to the foreign country of Canada for a personal legal hassle.

I’m going to need more convincing before I’ll send my hard earned money out of the country to help somebody who clearly doesn’t even have the same Rights and Laws as the U.S. does when it comes to ‘free speech’ and so on [which i am assuming at this time is the ‘Cause’ we’re being solicited on donations for since there is no clear cut explanation].

I mean, if they have a free speech problem in the foreign country of Canada — then like every other foreign country on the planet with a free speech problem it is in fact their problem. They ought to do something about that.
